Smithers Boss – Minecraft: How to Build a Bank | Easy Minecraft Tutorial

Hey guys how is it going welcome back to a brand new a tutorial let’s build whatever you want to call it in today’s video boys and girls we gonna be building a bank okay that is right a bank we haven’t done one of those before so it should be a pretty interesting the

Materials we’re gonna be using are some quartz pillars some smooth chord stairs we got some smooth quartz block action going on some smooth quartz slabs we got some chiseled quartz block which i don’t think i’ve actually ever used before in a build we’ve got some dark oak planks

Some dark oak stairs a little uh dark oh trapdoor and some glass panes now before we get to building you better get to liking please do leave a like on this video it truly does help me out and i really do appreciate it but let’s get into this first things

First on the release we’re gonna be placing one of our first blocks down here bam okay little quartz pillow we’re gonna bring this up another eight blocks okay so one two three four five six seven and eight making this a nine in a total we’re now going to be jumping one

Two three and place another one two three four five oh five six seven eight and nine are blocks we have two of these pillars looking almighty fine at the front now we’re going to be adding another two of these nine block pillars to the right and to the left okay so one

Two three bam and one two three place it here and we’re gonna do it on the other side okay so one two three bam and one two three bam bring these up so that nine blocks in height and i’m just placing my blocks everywhere today but how you guys doing hopefully you’ve been

Having a fabulous day um you know staying safe staying healthy all the crazy mojo that’s going on the world right now it’s pretty it’s pretty mad so i do hope you guys are staying safe like i said and if not then uh i hope tomorrow’s better people i really really

Do this what we got going on one two three four five and six nine block high pillars okay now going in with our smoother quartz blocks we’re going to be placing 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14

15 16 17 18 19 20 and 21 okay all the way to the other end and above this we’re just going to place exactly the same amount on top so this is two blocks high 21 long it’s kind of sitting behind our nine block pillars now once again

With the smooth quartz blocks we’re gonna jump behind the main pillars themselves and place another one two three four five six and seven okay all the way to the top one two three four five six and seven and we’re gonna do this for all the rest of our pillars and

Now this is a very different style to what i usually build in boys and girls so usually we go for the modern all the really like simple start houses and uh quartz is not something i usually be working with but this is what we got so

Far now at the bottom of our middle pillars we’re gonna be placing a smooth quartz block in front of both of these okay with a smooth quartz stair on the top facing towards us now we can place one two three little stair blocks in the center with one two three quartz blocks

Underneath we can then place another one two three quartz blocks in front of us with our quartz stairs we can then do one two three and turn them four and at the side turn them five and this is gonna be kind of like our entrance stairway imagine us walking up to the

Front door and this is where that will sit for the rest of the pillars however we’re gonna be placing one at the side okay and bam and we’re gonna do this for every other pillow okay so one two and three one two and three and then we can place the kind

Of stairs corresponding on the tops facing uh inwards at the sides and forwards at the front and this just kind of gives the pillars a more sturdy look to the bottom of them if they if it wasn’t there you know they kind of look a little bit flimsy a little bit slim

Kind of gym so we’re just gonna be placing these kind of buff them out a little bit and hopefully that’ll be looking pretty sweet if we take a little look back that is coming along pretty nicely and i’m missing this little guy here bam and a bam absolutely perfect

Okay next we’re gonna go in with our dark oak planks and we’re gonna jump to our door entrance we’re gonna place one two three that is three four five six and seven okay on the other side one two three four five six and seven blocks we can

Now grab our smooth quartz blocks and we’re gonna place one two three one two three and on the other side as well one two three and one two three we can also bring this down another level so it’s kind of too um in depth at the top so

This is what we’re working with we should have a two block strip going all the way along and in the center it is actually dark oak instead of the quartz can now go in with our quartz stairs and we’re going to place an upside down facing inwards and on the other side

Another one inwards we can then break the middle quartz block above these and replace it with an upside down quartz stair giving us this little look and we’re going to repeat this for all of our kind of little uh in between the pillar sections all right bam bam and

Bam you kind of get the picture we’re kind of trying to mimic archways i guess they can’t really make archways in minecraft but they do look pretty snazzy we’re also going to be going and adding one here and here okay so kind of like normal facing inward stairs at the

Bottoms of all these sections as well there’s a lot of stairs boys and girls and uh it kind of can get a little bit confusing but hopefully i’m going slowly enough for you guys to kind of grab the concept now once again we’re going to be using our smooth quartz blocks and we’re

Going to jump to our side now we’re going to place 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 and 14 blocks we can also do this along the top making it once again two in height okay and we’re gonna do this

On the other side as well because this build is very much symmetrical okay so one two three four five six seven eight nine 10 11 12 13 to the 14 blocks once again going above and adding another layer making it to blocks in height so

This is what we’ve got so far now we can go in with our smooth quartz once again and add another layer behind the first blocks we were placing and this is because we are going to now add in our window sections and for this we’re gonna

Be using okay our quartz pillars so on this side one two three four five six and seven behind this pillar one two three four five six and seven and once again one two three four five six and seven these should all have one two three blocks in between them once again

We’re gonna be doing that for these as well and uh yeah hopefully you guys are following like i said and enjoying this build like i said at the beginning if you could leave a like that would truly truly be appreciated this is what we’re working with so far boys and girls

Behind our stairs we’re going to be using some dark oak planks and placing one two and three one two and three and on the other side one two three and one two and three now above this we’re gonna count one two and three and place ourselves one two three four five and

Six joining these pillars at the top so in between we should have one two three and four blocks in height one two three four five and six and we can do these for the other side windows also so one two three four five and six now we need

To go on with our glass panes place ourselves one two three and four five six seven and eight and i missed you there buddy and nine ten eleven and twelve glass panes so there should be twelve glass panes in between each of these windows and uh once we’ve done

This we’ll go to the front and you’ll just see how awesome this looks um with all the depth we’ve kind of been trying to get into this build that’s why i’ve been building up in layers kind of going backwards because like i can show you now does that not just look amazing we’re

Now going to go in with our dark coat trap doors place one two and three on either side one two and three flickering flick these down and this just goes ahead and kind of separates the windows from the walls and gives it that really nice frame allowing them to stand out

And uh like i said once again adding some depth and some ambience to the place one two three one two and three and our final window we’re gonna flick all of these up and then we’re gonna take a little step back and kind of see how this place is turning out absolutely

Love it at our front door entrance we can grab our dark oak stairs jump one two and on the third block place an upside down little guy like i saw okay and we can count one two three and on the fourth block up place another one

These are going to be three glass panes and we’re just gonna leave the doorway open for now we can grab our some dark oak trap doors once again and on top of this little stair here we’re gonna place one a two three and four and on the

Other side one two three and four and once again we can flick these down because of course we ain’t gonna be keeping them like that and this just makes this really grand door entrance and i think that just kind of sets it off as one more little detail to the

Place what do you guys think now like i said a little earlier on this build is completely symmetrical so we kind of need to mimic what we did on the front to the back and i’m going to start by joining these two sections with one two

Three four five six seven eight nine 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 and 19 smooth quartz blocks once again bringing this one more in height creating a two block platform so that means we’re gonna need to add another six nine block pillars okay so on this corner one two three

Four five six seven eight and nine and every three blocks you know the drill one two three four five six seven eight and nine bam absolutely perfect all the way along and i’m gonna continue this all the way to the end okay so all six of our pillars are in and nine blocks

Tall now on the front of the build we did do our kind of grand door entrance on the back we’re not gonna be having a door okay we’re just gonna make all of these sections windows so instead of having four we’re gonna have five on this side we’re gonna grab our smooth

Quartz place one two and three and do this for all of the pillars of until three one two three one two three one two three and of course one two and three then with our stairs we’re gonna be placing these at the corresponding facing ways okay so inwards facing

Forwards and inwards to the other side and we’re gonna do this once again for all of these pillars and now these details really do kind of bring the build together and make it kind of give it that it’s like an ancient greek temple almost but it is a bank so it’s a

Little confusing but hopefully you guys are enjoying it going in now with our smooth quartz block behind our pillars one two three four five six and seven just like we did at the front of the house once again we are mimicking it so it should be pretty easy you guys should

Have already done it once so doing it again it shouldn’t be too much of a trouble one two three four five six and seven finishing it off just like a so at the top so we’re to be placing ourselves one two three four five and six in

Between each of the chords the pillars behind our kind of stripey ones one two three four five and six one two three four five and six and on the last one six once and more i’m really bad at placing my vlogs today boys and girls so

I do apologize for that going in with our smooth quartz stairs breaking this middle one placing upside down ones all the way along and then we can go in with our ones underneath place one inwards facing and the other side inwards facing creating our little archways just as we

Did at the front now i did kind of contemplate doing this other side off camera but i figured you guys would probably want to see me do it anyway even though it is exactly the same there is a little difference of course we do have one more window on this side at the

Bottom inward facing stair inward facing stair so on and so forth for all of these windows just once again as we did at the front of the house but other than that have you guys been building anything else in minecraft or have you been playing survival in 1.16 now i am

Going to be starting a 1.16 survival series pretty soon i’m hoping i am hoping so hopefully you guys will be enjoying that now we’re going to go in once again with our smooth a quarter blocks place another one two three four five six seven eight nine 10 11 12 13 14

15 16 17 18 and 19 and we’re gonna do this on the top as well and then we can go in with our quartz pillars and place one two three four five six and seven behind our quartz blocks all right one two three four five six and seven and we’re gonna

Do this every other three blocks once more until we reach the end exactly the same as the other side we can now use our dark oak planks one two three one two three and fill this in all the way along and then one two three and four

Blocks up one two three four five and six and do this once again for all other four of our windows one two three four five and six boop you go now mister and this is what we got going in with our glass panes and fill in all of these

Windows in okay perfect now the back of our build is completed for the most part we now need to kind of get working on some of these sides and bring them to the same height as the rest of the build and how we’re gonna be doing that okay

So as you can see we’ve got quartz pillars smooth quartz quartz pillars we’re going to complete this pattern all the way along okay so smooth quartz quartz pillar and a quartz pillar should go every other block and match all the way to the end in between these like i

Said we’re going to be using smooth quartz and we’re going to bring these all the way to the top should be another one two three four five and six blocks up and i’m gonna go all the way along and do this for all of these i’m also

Gonna go ahead and mimic exactly the same as this on the other side just over there and bam both of our sides are now raised up and as you see we’ve kind of got this stripy non-stripey pattern and i think it looks pretty nice we are going to

Leave the sides of the bank kind of plain and boring and the reason for that is usually these banks are placed in cities so this bank will be in between two larger buildings or structures so you won’t actually be able to see the sides anyway it’d be pointless kind of

Adding windows and all that jazz on the inside as you can see we don’t yet have a floor and this floor is actually to a block so what i’m gonna do with my smooth quartz blocks is kind of fill in the first section of the floor with this

And then we’re to go in and grab let’s say some dark gray wall maybe and uh kind of fill in the rest of the floor with that because banks do have carpets most of the time so i’m thinking that could look pretty good so i’m going to

Go ahead and fill in the rest of our floor first layer with our smooth quartz blocks and then our second layer with our gravel and i’ll join you back here in just a second okay so our floor is completely filled in with our dark grey wall and i think

That looks pretty nice very nice contrast between the kind of like light of the quartz the dark color of the dark and it kind of just fits somewhere in the middle now moving on to our roof section and probably the most complex part of this build so we’re going to be

Going in first with some chiseled quartz so with our chiseled quartz blocks we’re going to be jumping one block behind our pillars okay it’s kind of this quartz section and place ourselves one two three and four on the other corner we’re gonna do one two three and four and on the back

One two three and four and of course on the other side one two three and four so on all four corners of the build one block in we have four pillars high we’re now going to connect these all at the top all the way along like a so and if i do

Sound a little bit weird today i my allergies are kind of playing up i do have like really bad hay fever and that’s why i’ve been uploading too much because every time i get to recording i’m sneezing all over the show and it’s been really bad and i haven’t given

Medication but it just kind of hasn’t been working recently we’re now going to go in with us chisel quartz and we’re going to fill all of these gaps in okay so removing this don’t mind that me all over the place with my mouse it should look like this from every side

Once again filling in at the front and i’m going to go around and fill in all of these sections with chiseled quartz and i’ll be back with you in just a second okay so our chiseled quartz section is in place and this is going to kind of serve as a backdrop to extra

Detail and we’re going to be doing in just a second first though we’re going to be grabbing our smooth court stairs once again and jumping to our left hand pillar placing ourselves one two three four five and turning six okie dokie on the other side we can do exactly the

Same so one two three four five and turning six now for the middle pillars we’re just simply going to be placing one two three four and five turning these quartz stairs all the way around the pillar so you can kind of make these uh with the stair physics turn and

That’s what we’re gonna be doing just for you kind of new players that maybe haven’t seen this before which you probably have but you know i kind of just want to want to make sure i want to make sure you guys are all following so turning all of these around each of our

Pillars one and two and finally three absolutely perfect we’re going to go on to the other side now and do exactly the same so this one was a turn block one two three four five and turning six once again for the rest of our pillars and

I’ll meet you back here in just a second when i’ve kind of finished doing the rest of these back sections okay so our final pillar on the back is done as you can see this is what it’d be looking like and on the front it does look exactly the same now with

Our smooth quartz slabs we’re gonna be placing one two one two filling in all of these sections in between our kind of turned stairs on the back we can go ahead and do exactly the same one two one two one two one two and finally one two at the sides

We’re gonna connect these with one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve and thirteen oh like so and on the other side once again we’re doing exactly the same every side is the same on this build so the front and the back are the same apart from the window

And the two sides are also identical so when you’re building one side you should get a really good idea of how the other side is gonna look especially if you are building this in survival which would be a huge task and hats off if you are

It’ll just kind of make it a little bit easier for that muscle memory okay so this is kind of the part of the build when we make it look a little snazzy on the top we’re going to be using our quartz slabs and one block in from the

Corner we’re going to place it at one okay we’re now going to raise this two three four five six seven and eight so it is in line with our chiseled block we’re now gonna go to the other side do exactly the same so one block in from

The corner a bam two three four five six seven and eight so this is what we got from the side we’re now going to be raising this so let’s do one and two on the other side of one two and we’re gonna do this until we reach the top and i’m just

Gonna place blocks behind this because these can be kind of awkward okay so boom and we’re gonna meet in the middle okay with an upside down stair bam remove these blocks behind and this is what we got we can now grab our chiseled cords and behind this place another one

Two three four and five okay now we’re gonna be going ahead and doing exactly the same thing on the back so one block in bam bringing this all the way until we reach the uh kind of top of the chisel section on the other side one two three four five six seven

And eight and then once again we’re going to be raising all of these and uh yeah this is gonna look really really nice like i said kind of got that temple kind of vibe which i’m digging let’s bring this up do a little upside down stair action and then behind this place

Ourselves one two three four and five chiseled quartz so we got this awesome little kind of triangle shape at the top of our build now as you can see we’ve kind of got these two odd shapes and uh we can’t need to connect these together now i’m actually going to go in and

Remove these two side sections okay and replace these with smooth quartz just because when we connect these it’s gonna look a little bit nicer and because it’s all kind of white and quartzy it doesn’t really add too bad of a connected texture it’s a little bit different but

Nothing uh super noticeable which is which is really nice we’re gonna join these now at the top so these quartz sections one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve and thirteen on the other side it should be exactly the same like so we’re now gonna grab our slabs

And do this once again all the way along until it joins with the other side and we’re gonna do this for this kind of like whole roof section in the center at the sides you can go ahead and fill these with whatever material you want i’m just going to use the chiseled

Quartz to kind of uh keep the pattern going and use the same material all the way along a bam on the top we’re going to use a full block of quartz all the way like as this and every side of this we can then do some smooth quartz slabs all

The way along and we’re going to have this really nice kind of little slope either side going down onto the main roof section bam what do you guys think i think this looks really really really nice so we’re now going to need another material to

Fill in the roof and i’d be thinking i think i’m going to go with some andesite okay and now you may be thinking smithers you absolutely crazy but andesite is going to work in kind of industrial buildings you tend to see that kind of like gravelly stony roof

That they have right is it just me or is that thing um and i think the andesite will look the best for that because it’s kind of got that like gravelly texture i know we do have a gravel block but i’m just not about that i think the andesite looks a lot cleaner

Especially with the quartz and boys and girls that does look pretty sweet indeed so i’m just going to go ahead and do this on the other side bam bam bam and we’re going to do this all the way until it is completely filled in and that is

Going to make it very very dark on the inside so we are probably going to need to get our glowstone out and start placing some of that here about the place but for now around the site is in place and it is very very dark so let’s

Go ahead and grab some glow stone and i’m just going to place some of this around about on the bottom of the outer side and maybe some on the bottom of our chiseled quartz now where you place your glowstone it doesn’t really matter i’m just kind of placing it to avoid the

Bats boys and girls nobody likes the bats we’re now going to be adding a ceiling on the inside and i’m going to be using i think i’m going to go with some white wool okay white wall we’re going to place all the way along the tops of our

Dark coke all the way along like this bam i’m going to do this on our other side as well all the way along to the volume and then we can just fill the rest of this layer in with white wool and this will be a little blank

Space but like i said put the glowstone there so the bats don’t be spawning and you’ll hear no squeaking no kind of squirming about you’re gonna be good to go i promise you so i’ll be back in just a second when i finish filling in the

Rest of this white wall ceiling okay so we have our ceiling in place we now need to head on the outside and finish the rest of our detailing on this triangle section first grabbing our slabs once again where these kind of two slabs connect to the chisel we’re gonna place

Another one two three four five six and seven and once again on the other side one two three four five six and seven and we’re going to take this the whole way around the kind of top perimeter of our build and that this is going to add

A lot more depth to the build once this is in place you are going to see this place transform uh adding these shapes truly does kind of do that to this place we’re now going to jump one half slab below this and place another one two

Three four and five okay on the other side a one two three four and five and once again like we did above this we’re gonna take this around the entire build uh a little wrap around kind of thing bam perfect and on this side once again

And doing exactly is the same you know place why am i so so bad at placing blocks today i i don’t know but this is how it’s looking what’d i tell you they’re always kind of like little slab shapes up there to add absolutely everything and now ladies and gentlemen the final finishing

Touches to the roof we’re gonna be adding a b for bank okay for nothing else but just for b we’re gonna jump into our center block and we’re gonna come one half slab up and place one okay and to the left two we can now place ourselves one two

Diagonal to the right and another one above this in the center bam now one and two three and four and five on top of this fifth slab we’re gonna place another bring it along one at the top and then diagonal down we’re going to place two and this is the b for

The bank what do you guys think i’m going to pause on this for just a second you can get a good idea if you are following and you should be able to do it very very easily now we’re going to add a few little snazzy patterns either

Side with our slabs first we’re gonna place one in between this little section okay so we’re gonna place one in between this b half slab and bring it down another one two and three so it should be one half slab kind of off the ground we’re now gonna take it up another bam

And a long down one and two like this we can now place just another one connecting this little section to the ground just here like that absolutely perfect next to this we’re gonna place another one and two so from a distance this is what we got we’re now gonna

Mimic this on the other side okay so let’s see one two three and four okay up one and down two then on this section we can just bring it down to the ground little something like that and place another one to connecting these to the wall and from afar

What do you guys think wow wow wow that makes all the difference now like we did on the front we are gonna copy this onto the back it just means the b is a little switched around so we’re gonna jump into our center place ourselves one and two

Okay then one and two just here with one like this one two three four five and six little slabs one along the top and two down at the side of this creating our little b i’m now going to go in and create all our little patterns exactly

The same as we did on the front and then we’ll be able to see what this place is looking like oh baby it’s looking grand it is looking fabulous so from the front our bank is looking amazing now we are gonna be adding a few more things that

Involves ourselves some andesite okay a little bit of podzol and a little bit of coarse dirt i’m gonna remove all of this as well from my inventory go and grab maybe some oat cleaves and some birch leaves i think will do the trick with our underside we’re gonna remove one and

Two of blocks and we’re gonna take this one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven uh twelve thirteen and fourteen blocks we can now take this one more back and this is what we should have we’re not gonna do this this side as well all

The way along to the other side bam bam bam bam and bam perfect okay we can now fill this in with our underside and this is going to kind of be like a little path that goes around the whole build now if you do have a city of course this will probably be

Coming out onto some kind of sidewalk so you won’t have the path wrapping around the sides and back but for the purpose of this video we are building on a flat land so we kind of got to make it look all pretty and stuffs so we are going to

Be doing that now at the end we can take this back another two all the way down to the end and we can kind of do this on the other side as well and meet it along the back bam our underside path is in place and

As you can see it wraps around the entire kind of perimeter of the bottom of the build now with our coaster and our podzo we’re going to be removing the grass on the inside of these sections kind of on the inside of our andesite path and we’re going to be filling this

In with a coarse dirt and we’re going to be throwing some podzo in the mix so i’m just going to play some random podzol about the show it doesn’t really matter where you place them as long as it’s random and uh doesn’t look too semi-semi everywhere so i’m going to go ahead and

Do this for all of the grass sections around the rest of the build um bam the final puzzle is down and this is what the kind of texturing looks like around the bottom now this is only the base of this okay because we’re now going to be

Going in with some oak leaves and we’re gonna be placing let’s actually start this at the side of the building we’re gonna be doing oak leaf oak leave and every other block guess what an oak leaf okay now in between these gaps one block forward we’re gonna be doing birch

Leaves and we’re gonna be carrying this pattern all the way around the build okay so this front section is gonna be birch leaves and then behind we’re gonna have our oak leaves kind of showing through uh and at the back of course these would then be birch leaves and i

Think the difference between the colors and leaves isn’t too noticeable but it just kind of makes that little subtle detail and i think that really does work so once again we’re gonna be doing oak leaves all the way along and then in front of this we are gonna be placing

Our birch leaves okay and we’re gonna be doing this around the whole build and i’ll be back with you in just a second oh baby this is looking sweet the only thing we need to do now is go and grab maybe some little white plants we can

Grab some grass and maybe some ferns as well and we’re just going to place these randomly in between all of our leaves okay so don’t place them all over the place just kind of a little uh here and there i think that should work pretty well you don’t want to be too noticeable

It just kind of adds a little more color into the darker kind of areas of the build up and we’ll place another little guy here we’ll go in with our grass we’ll continue to do this around the build and uh see what it looks like

Perfect our grass is in and this is the final outcome of our build i’m going to remove all of these kind of like blocks that we had at the beginning what do you guys think about this place as far as the inside goes not going to be doing

Interior because we already have been building for a very very long time okay but i will grab some smoother quartz uh slabs i’m just gonna join these pillars every side just kind of add a little bit of detail on the inside roof of course you guys can add lighting you can add

Some interior maybe i’ll show you a little example in just a second with what i do with the place but uh you know interior interior tutorials are not my kind of forte there are channels that do do it and uh sometimes we’ll be doing the interior but not today boys and
