The Survival Architect – Minecraft 1.18 – Exploring More New Terrain!!

Hello and welcome back to the channel i am the swift architect and in today’s video we’re in minecraft snapshot 21w37a um we’re going to be having a look around the new terrain uh in another brand new seat um similar to the last video i’ve noted down some notable

Features i’ve then i’ve whittled it down to to just like eight or ten of them that i will outline in this video i’ll put all the coordinates for those in the order they appear as well as the seed in the description below and i’ll also put the uh the

Features that i missed it just in in the description below but i just want to say that this this cave is pretty close to zero zero zero zero is just over that way uh but this is a pretty nicely sized lush cave um kind of rough chance that that i came

Across this so close to spawn um now the other thing is i have also i have already recorded this video once but youtube refused to upload it so i’m having to re-record it that’s fine so let’s hop over to the uh the first feature now and i’ll be back in just a

Second so our first feature here today is going to be this cave that is in a cliff that is in a river um now first you don’t know rivers about overhaul they can spawn in these gorge things and they also are a bit deeper than before

But this cave is a really nicely sized cave that is spawned inside the river uh and and as such the the water level actually goes inside the cave and as you can see it is very nice and open i actually love the size of this cave and

I can see this being turned into like some sort of village or or shipping area like putting like little boats in here and then having bigger boats out here um and then having like this is an underground shipping town or a mining town or something like that that then

Loads onto these these boats uh but the best thing is down here you’ve also got this exposed mine shaft with a number of kate i think there’s one there one over there one there and is there another one i don’t think so um yeah three caves or is that four no

Three three case by the spawners within just this area so you’ve got access to free xp if you want to build in this area and this cave just keeps going and going even into a lush cave down here that you could turn into like a farming area and yeah

So yeah so there’s a lush cave area here and then there’s some more mine shaft and large open areas in that area there so that’s kind of this first okay there’s not really much else to say other than i would love to build in this

I take out some of the pit that like these big pillars here uh oh no i take up the small pillars and then put in the um put in like houses in the side of the the wall here so i put one there uh probably put one up there that’s like a

Bigger building that’s like a communal area and then have like some sort of drill hanging from the ceiling that drills down into this area which is why this has been exposed and yeah like i said putting these boats in this area here and out here now it is also

Important to note i have night vision on uh but just imagine this being dark and then having little spots of light everywhere that would look absolutely amazing but that’s really all i’ve got for this area let’s pop through onto the next one and i’ll be back so the next thing we’re

Going to have a look at is this massive bowl area um essentially you’ve got this low down plates biome that is surrounded by massive mountains on either side you’ve even got a flower forest by them sitting in here but i just absolutely love these the the fact that these

Massive bowls with mountains on either side all around it can spawn in this new area like imagine putting some sort of starter house or even something a bit bigger in this area here and looking like stepping out your front door and looking around and seeing this that’s absolutely phenomenal i’m

Definitely going to be building something in here but the best thing is there’s multiple ways you can get in and out so first one is obvious you go over this slightly less steep area put pathway coming out over the top and maybe up to this ruined portal is like

Your main portal area that’s a possibility but the other one is there’s actually a cave here that runs right through the mountain i don’t know why that’s so square but it is runs right through them and here’s another one of those square blobs uh anyway runs right through the mountain

You can ha you can hack through here and clear out some water there and there and all of a sudden you’re on the outside so what i reckon oh there’s a pillager outpost here huh i didn’t even notice that last time um so you you’ve kind of got a

Most uh nearly work free cave entrance right there that could lead straight into your area and you know there’s enough space down here that you can actually build quite a lot like like i said put a house here maybe put a farm over here on this flat area

Put maybe a melon some pumpkins over here and maybe build a village over here what’s that that’s a huge cave wow anyway and then put like a villager area over here that would look really really cool um so yeah that’s kind of this area but the really good thing about here is that

There’s actually another feature just over this wall here so you build your starter area in here and then straight over this mountain here is this an absolutely massive cave with a pool of water here so you know same thing with with the last big thing we’re at maybe connect this up

To the river and put a boat in this area here if you want to do some diagonal building you can or just put one here and then another one over here and then you’ve got this huge area in here that you could build like some sort of research laboratory and like i’m

Currently building a base where you’ve got a uh a lab hanging over a massive hole you could do that in here or you could build a town in here or something like that but you know you’ve obviously got this massive open area that’s open to the air

But then through here you have eat like some naturally generated huge tunnels you can put whatever you want in like i i’d i’d be lighting this up trying to terraform it a bit and make it look a bit better as like a cave maybe this could be a mining

Outpost like like i said for the last one there’s so many options with these massive tunnels that the the world’s just generated for you you’ve got the drip zone area in here you’ve got an aquifer that drops down into another whoa this is massive you can build something really cool in

This area here and you might have just seen me fly over them there are some diamonds in here that blue color never gets old um but then this just keeps going and going and going there’s so many caves in this oh my god there’s another one it’s huge um

So you’ve got all this space underground that’s been already like that already looks absolutely amazing dug out for you by the world so why not make use of it build something really phenomenal in this area is like your big base or that could be your starter base and in here

You put some sort of city or like small town like what um what b double o did for one of his homo crafts see what was it season seven he uh built a town and then a mountain this back well you’ve already got the mountain as a

Backdrop so you just have to build a town in here if you want then you can fill up the mountains with whatever you or whatever you feel like so you know that’s this area as like a really solid survival minecraft building uh area like i’d love to build a base in this area

Um but anyway that’s enough of rambling around here for me uh let’s hop over to the next one and i’ll be back so over here we have a really nice cliff obviously this is the caves and cliffs update so i’d feel bad if we didn’t include some sort of cliff but it’s got

Caves sticking outside of it and it’s got this massive icebob here so you know i envisioned like a titanic-esque boat sticking out i’ve said boat a lot in this video i’m sorry but there’s just a lot of really cool water features that i found i think this is the last time um

But have like some sort of sinking boat that’s hit one of these icebergs into sinking and have this as a backdrop or you could just build your base in the side of this cliff that would also look really really cool or out and have your sata base inside here

Um you’d have to clear oh i didn’t realize there was so much water in here anyway you’d have to clear a lot of water but otherwise um you know build your starter base in there and your big base inside the mountain that would look really really cool um

But you know there’s not really much to say about this except that there’s an even cooler cliff over in the background here now this looks like the looks like the big mountain from uncharted 4. if anyone’s ever played that game or watched that game you know that

Uh spoilers spoiler alert skip about a minute ahead if you if you well i’ll flash a time up on screen um but skip to there if you want to not get spoilers for the game okay um so essentially the final ship is sitting underneath a mountain that looks like

This um it’s like it’s an incredibly iconic man it can be viewed everywhere um from henry avery’s island really really cool um but i i can see this being transformed into that minecraft like knock off some of the that that very square shape there’s a lot of square shapes in this update but

Um knock off that square shape and then uh hollow out a space under here take out some of this ice and leave it as water and have that as like the entrance into henry avery’s ship which would be in this area here and have a whole lot

Of gold stuff there because you know the man was obsessed with gold okay welcome back to the people who who didn’t want uncharted 4 spoilers so that would be my ideas for this area but yeah so there’s been these two but when i was flying around i actually

Noticed that just over here uh where is it back here somewhere yeah there’s this really cool mountain range this is it yeah here we are it’s over here there’s this really cool mountain range you can see there’s a number of really large peaks around here uh as well as

This which i thought was just like a loading error but nope it’s a cave that is these are actually snow blocks they’re not powders though they’re proper snow and it’s just managed to spawn like that i don’t understand how but it has um you know especially these snow blocks

Like maybe get rid of those but otherwise like i like that generation um but anyway i can see this as being like a ski resort of some description like you put your main lodge area down there or over there where that village is and then have like a chair lift coming up

And over here and then having a second lodge in here and a number of chair lifts going up into the mountains that would look abso you’d have to clear a lot of these trees but that would look absolutely phenomenal i’d absolutely love to build something like that uh and

Then obviously on this side you’ve got a massive gorge going into this rather high and relatively flat area that you could also turn into something so oh and a really cool ravine over here too and some more mountains that this area is very mountainy um but yeah so that’s

Kind of the the third feature of this um this area i guess you have those two mountains over there the oh sorry cliffs um the first one and then the henry avery cliff and then you’ve got um this massive mountain here so once again i’m rambling um we don’t need that

So let’s pop over to the next one now uh we’ve only got three more left well popping through these pretty quickly um i only got three more left but they uh so the especially the last one are absolutely phenomenal so let’s pop over to those now i’ll be back so here

We have a very strangely shaped cave entrance that i actually really like it it looks really nice from the surface here and as you go down into it like i could you could fly down in here with a light trip but it’s a very nice open area um That i can see people being very creative with like maybe putting a a small entrance house here or in this space where you’ve already got some hollowed out or maybe down here having like a farming area where you’ve got or a rare animal area where you’ve got axolotls and stuff but

That’s not really the point of this generation like yep that’s pretty cool but if we follow this lush cave down here should be way easier with elytra you come to this massive opening oh relatively large urban area now if anyone ever read the del toro quest series as a kid um

This kind of reminds me of the third series of books but they had that the massive flooded caves and this was this kind of reminds me of the entrance to that so you know you come through here and you can you can probably build like a small town on the land here or

Put some striders in the lava or make this like a hidden sanctuary of rare animals like striders in this massive lava lake and then put some axolotls in here yeah that that would look really really cool um and obviously this being like a boat area or just having this is like a town

That extends up here and looks after the animals or just a stand-alone town that lives off the lava lake but then you keep coming through here oh not there and you come to this absolutely ginormous open area i didn’t that when i first wrote this chord down i didn’t actually realize it

Until i re that this was here until i recorded my uh that uh recorded this video the first time this area is huge it just goes and goes and goes and i can see a number of different like little towns in this area like i mean i mentioned the uh delta request series

If you haven’t read it go and read it it’s pretty good young fiction uh if that’s what you’re into if you if you just wanted to sound a trip go and read it as well it’s pretty good but like putting a town here of people or villages or something or making just

Something hanging from the ceiling that’d be really cool um there’s a lot of possibilities for it for a massive underground area like this and this this won’t be the only one we look at in this video but this one is is particularly special to me because of that that connotation and

Also because it’s got such an extensive case system in front of it that you could also do a whole lot of stuff too that’s like kind of an entrance it’s got even more over here what okay there’s a lot of very square generations i just want to say that like

That is a very very big square basically i’m not sure how i feel about that um but yeah this cave is pretty big it keeps it keeps going a fair way but yeah so there’s there’s a lot you could do with this generation and it’s a

Pretty big one like it doesn’t fit in my render distance now i don’t have the best computer but it doesn’t fit within my render distance that’s pretty impressive um but yeah that’s uh that’s this gen i didn’t realize this lush cave kept going huh anyway that’s this generation done for

Let’s go and look at the second last one i can’t remember exactly what it is but the last one is pretty special so just hold on to the end of the video for that i’ll spend a few minutes over there because honestly it’s it’s a really cool generation so let’s pop through the

Second last and last ones now i’ll be back when i restart my recording so here’s the next generation uh this one’s pretty special because it’s a very it’s all underneath the stone layer so you can see that everything here is made out of deep slate but it’s a lush cave i’ve

No i don’t think the lush caves generate this slow like there’s there’s really not much like this is the bedrock level i’m in the bedrock right now the lush cave is just there i’ve not seen one generate this low and it’s huge so uh if you remember the the idea i

Floated in the last generation of like an animal sanctuary this would be the perfect place for like rare animals uh get a couple of brown mushrooms down here which if you don’t know you can convert a normal mooshroom into a brown mooshroom by striking it with lightning i didn’t know that until recently

I’d put some blue axolotls in the water ponds around here especially this one here because i can’t get out and die put striders in here and in here i’d probably clean up this lava and that bit of love there you could ah that what other you could put charged

Creepers in here if you wanted to flirt with death um but yeah there’s a number of really cool animals that you could put in a massive space like this that is already lush and fairly good looking um like it’s pretty well detailed for a natural

Generation like i’d clean up or i put a bit more detail into the the just raw deep slate um that’s coating everything but otherwise like there’s not really much you have to do moss is all in the uh glow berries are all in the clay looks really good especially with the

Water so you know credit where credits you mojang you’ve done a phenomenal job in um in in making these places these places look really good yeah just detailing and texturing the walls and stuff would be the biggest thing but yeah i’m not going to stick around here for

Too long because there’s actually one more generation that i’m going to spend a bit more time on because it is phenomenal so let’s pop over there now i’ll be back in just a second i’m really looking forward to sharing this one with you guys so here’s our last generation

For the video this is a huge and i mean huge underground space this is naturally generated by the new 118 um 118 generation mechanics look at the size of it there’s so much you could do with this and yes i know i have night vision on i

Just want to show off this cave um but even without night vision you could you could light this up pretty well with some glowstone or what else glow-like and would work fairly well like there’s some up here you can put a bit of glow-liking around if you wanted

But you could get a really good feel for the size of this room if you just lit up the walls a bit um now the other thing is this isn’t the only part you come through here and there’s even more massive open area like look at this this is

I mean with the water that already looks amazing and this one massive pillar sticks up to the roof i think no this one’s not floating but you come through here is it through here here and there’s a third huge open area now if anyone’s seen neon genesis evangelion really great show um

This reminds me of the geo front if you cleared out some more of this space and you’ve got the room for it there’s a mountain on top of here so you’ve got the room for it if you cleared out most of this space you could just build the geo front in

Minecraft that would be really cool um i’d i’d love to do it i plan on doing it at some point even though the deep play deep slate’s gonna be a pain to get rid of um but like i’ve never seen something this massive underground in minecraft this is

So it’s it’s suspect it’s just absolutely special like oh it keeps going my goodness i don’t even know this bill was here well anyway i’ve never seen any sort of generations like this this is absolutely phenomenal there’s so much open area under here that you could do so much on this even more

You could do so much with this area like literally the possibilities are endless i know people have said that a lot about this update but with this cave you could do anything and i mean it there’s so much space that you could build whatever you wanted you

Just have to hammer out some walls and that’s about it like that a tape i mean knocking say this bit out with a beacon would take about what five hours considering the deep slate if you wanted to use a world heater take about two hours um we’re not including the building of

Of the actual world either but this that’s just that’s so worth it like knock out that maybe knock out this as well and you’ve got a massive naturally generated underground area that you could do so much with and i’m so looking forward to seeing what people do with

Huge areas like this it’s the just the fact that we’ve got more space to work with in the world but also the new blocks and just having more space and more and thus more time to build it’s it’s going to be absolutely phenomenal so i absolutely love this generation this

Is the last one of the video so now that i’ve finished i just want to show it off one more time there’s this massive area over here another one through here and a third one in here the i i absolutely love this there aren’t any more are there no

Oh there’s a pretty big area over there too huh and obviously there’s all the caves sticking off the side of this so you know this is a really phenomenal generation i i want to commend mojang for how good they’ve made this update look but anyway that’s all i’ve got time for in this
