Hey guys, once again we’re going to take a look at some of the Best Resource Packs released over the past month, for Minecraft 1.17.1. I got all these packs from PlanetMinecraft, as it gets a lot more submissions than CurseForge. And if you want to try out any of these packs, you can find The links down below. After the video, make sure to check out my other Resource Pack videos too. Jicklus aims to stay true to Vanilla Minecraft, by just giving the textures a more rustic style. Although I’d say they look softer too. The pack is complete, and overhauls every block and mob, And it’s also available on the marketplace for Bedrock players. Skulk Equips will change the textures of your Netherite Armor, so that they look like Skulk instead. Skulk is an upcoming block in the Deep Dark Biome, and this pack will also make changes to your tools and sword too. A high resolution pack is Helheim, which is available for free in its 256 times resolution. Anything higher will require signing up to the developers patreon. It aims to bring realistic textures into the game, while also making use of RTX. The pack isn’t complete yet, but I really like the direction it’s going in. A lot of the blocks look great too, especially with their reflections, and one of my favorite changes has to be Prismarine. Oak Leaves will look better too, with them being bushier and crisp. Better Boats makes some much needed changes to Boats, taking away their basic cuboid shape. Now, They look like Boats similar to those in real life, with them having visible seats for 2 players. It’s a really nice change, and doesn’t take away from the vanilla style at all. Golem’s Family makes a cute change to the Iron Golem. They’ll now have a Copper Golem standing on their shoulders and holding onto its head. Better Dogs will introduce 5 new textures to Wolves, giving them more variation. The models are also changed quite a bit, giving them more detail. But with this pack installed, Whenever you tame a Wolf, it will turn into a Pug instead, which there’s currently 2 variations of. You can also download packs that just change the Wolf textures, or get other packs that turn them into Boxers and Chihuahuas instead. Biome Blocks changes the textures of some blocks, depending on the biome they spawn in. As an example, Stone Bricks look Sandy, Snowy and Mossy, which feels quite immersive. If you place down Rails in the Nether, then they’ll also look different to match the dimension. Changes are made To lots of other blocks too, like Netherrack, Snow Berries, Soul Glowstone and Mossy Bones. Pumpkin Hats will let you rename a Carved Pumpkin, so that it turns into a custom hat instead. Some of the options available include Halos, Devil Horns, Crown, Christmas Hat, Witch Hat, Monocle and more. Golden Spawner changes the textures of 3 items. These are the Lantern, Chain and any Spawners you find, which will all be gold in color now. Enchanted Spruce Forest changes the appearance of your Spruce Taiga Biomes. A Lot of the colors in this biome have been given a blue tint, which you’ll notice mostly on the Grass Blocks, Leaves and Ferns. It just adds more of a mystical and fantasy appearance to the biome. Undead Expansion introduces around 140 new skins for Zombies, which are randomly chosen each time A Zombie will spawn. There are predetermined skins for each biome too, and they look pretty interesting. If you head to a Beach Biome, you’ll notice that Zombies are in swimming gear, with some even having a Snorkel. Head underground, and you’ll start finding Zombies who look like miners. It’ll add more variation, and would be a great option for a Zombie Apocalypse themed pack. Moss Dimension completely transforms the look of the Nether, by changing the appearance of most of its blocks. In a way, the Nether doesn’t look so dangerous anymore, As most of the reds have been removed, and Lava looks like Water too. But the keyword there is looks, as it still behaves like lava, so you don’t want to jump into it. Blocks like Netherrack, Soul Sand and Basalt have all been replaced with different Grass, Stone and Logs, which makes it feel like you’ve entered a mystical dimension. Just remember that no mechanics are changed, only textures, so you still need to be very careful. If you’re really feeling the season, then you can try out the Trapped in Fall pack. Most of The foliage in your world is changed, giving it a more orange and brown hue. The same goes for Grass Blocks, which have a new variant with it looking like there’s fallen leaves resting on them. In Villages, you’ll notice some small changes to the appearance of Villagers and the Iron Golem too. Redstone Tweaks makes changes to lots of blocks in regards to mechanics. Bells will tell you if they’re powered, Leaves show the distance to the nearest Log and Note Blocks display their current note. When placing Redstone Dust, you can see the current signal strength, With the texture of Wool being changed to make counting blocks easier. But there’s a lot more when it comes to mechanic-type blocks, as you’ll also notice quality of life changes come to Beehives, Composters, Cauldrons, Hoppers, Observers and more. Dynamic Mobs brings some new mob textures into Minecraft, which aim to be biome specific. In Deserts, you can find Husks which look like Mummies, Desert-Dwelling Skeletons and Husk-like Zombies. In a Swamp, you might find Swamp Skeletons, Swamp Zombies and Muddy Pigs. But there’s a few other changes, like how Dolphins can look like Orcas, Cows turn into Highland Cattle above a certain height level, and Endermans have a Warped variant. Another change to creatures comes to Mob-phobia. Currently, it changes the Spider, Creeper, Slime and Wolf. In general, I’d say they look a bit scarier, as they have a lot more detail. Although Creepers don’t really look like themselves anymore, instead, they look like a strange tree-like creature. Slimes are also changed to look like Toads instead. Crops 3D Revamped is an expansion on Crops 3D, which I mentioned last month. It revamps 13 plants, making them look blocky, instead of Their vanilla 2D style. You’ll find that items like Mushrooms, Berry Bushes, Sugarcanes, Vegetables and Nether Fungus are all changed, with them still fitting into vanilla nicely. Splotch is a minimalist style pack, being just 8 times resolution. It gives Minecraft a retro Feeling, but is still bright, vibrant and clear to look at. Most blocks have been worked on, there’s just a few remaining from what I can tell, and mobs haven’t been updated yet either. There’s new interface elements and fonts too which look nice. There’s not much else to Say about this pack, but if you like the look of it, go ahead and give it a try. Stay True keeps Minecrafts vanilla textures, but tries to improve on them in places. I think most changes you’ll notice comes to foliage, with the grass looking completely Different, with leaves being bushier and also appearing pink when on Birch trees. The biggest improvement comes with connected textures, which allows for much better variation. Ground textures also blend together nicely, instead of being stuck in their block-forms. Some blocks have multiple variations too, like Gravel, Which can have 8 different styles, and helps to remove all the repetitiveness in your world. Obscuria’s Brewing Pack starts by replacing the textures of your potions, so each one is more unique and identifiable. The more impressive changes comes to the Cauldron and Brewing Stand, which both feature more detail than their vanilla counterparts. Especially the Brewing Stand which is now 3D. Food Stuffs will change the appearance of all your food items, so they’re 3D too. It’s especially useful if you’re doing a kitchen-style build and you want to place food inside of item frames. Just make sure to install an invisible item frame pack too. That’s the end of our list. There’ll be more Resource Pack videos on the screen right now, so make sure to check those out if you’re interested in finding some more packs. But I’ve also covered a lot of mods and datapacks too, which you might like. Video Information
