Unbelievable! I Created a MASSIVE Lumber Mill in Minecraft!

Last episode we completely destroyed the natural environment and made a huge Quarry however this time we’re going to be taking a more natural approach but before we can begin on any of that things have changed since last time I have actually gone ahead and built a

Building around the iron farm and it has been working a treat we have all the iron all the Redstone and all the XP it’s good stuff that was feeling kind of inspired the other day and went ahead and made this brick kind of birchy red thing I’m I’m good at describing builds

I swear I know what I’m on about yeah know I I just kind of wanted to spend some time in the world and just chill out for a bit and I put this together I’m pretty happy with how it turned out but there is one small problem with our

Wood farming in that we don’t have all the wood types now I’m going to be honest I’m not including modded Woods in this because I’m not insane yeah there’s about 60 different types so I think for now I’m just going to stick to the vanilla ones now I have have Oak Birch

Spruce dark oak and Mangrove already and actually acia I forgot that I found that which means I think we only need jungle and then the two nether woods and since last time I have also played around with the configs of the world here and I’ve increased the range at which our

Nature’s Compass can work so I can now search for a jungle and yes it will actually tell me where it is I mean it’s a cool 10,000 blocks away but yeah no it’s it’s nice that I’m actually able to search for things again and while I’m traveling out to these biomes there is

Something else I made and this is a grappling whisk uh I’m assuming yeah and actually you know what this thing works really well with the nether cuz we pretty much always have a roof to grab Onto with all the wood types collected I think we’re ready to get started now I have laid out a foundation already for the build the plan is we’re going to have an overhang here a nice big storage segment and then a big tower here now this isn’t going to be the only building

Today this is going to be a storage warehouse and then we’re going to build a secondary building over here for the actual processing of the logs cuz I want to make sure I have logs strip logs and planks available now I think the easiest place for us to start is probably this

Overhang bit and I I think what we’re going to do is we’re going to start off with some dark oak beams the walls themselves I think we’re going to go in with some jungle colors for this and then for the highlights we’re going to be using this smoked wood which is kind

Of a really nice between uh dark oak and Spruce and I think it looks pretty good and then our actual detailing like this will do with Spruce and then at the bottom we’ll line this with more Spruce Wood I think that’s a pretty good palette so far yeah

I think this can work let me just do a little bit more work on this and we’ll see how it looks so after building the overhang part I went ahead and started to fill in the middle areas using some kind of red pillow blocks to kind of

Make it look like a corrugated metal however I ended up really not liking the way this looked so I ended up tearing the whole thing down again apart from the towers and redoing the entire middle section over on a stream on Twitch so let’s go check out the finished building

Cuz we’ve got a lot more to do to s all right so it has changed significantly since that little time lapse I record it I’m actually way happy with how this building turned out it’s very very plain as you can see there’s a lot more detailing left to be done but

On the inside we have a really nice big space and like I said this is going to be transformed into the storage warehouse for all of our wood which I did build this input slope here with a mechanical bearing so I built this straight and then rotated it down I’m

Really happy with the way this looks but unfortunately I don’t think it’s going to be functional however we can’t actually get any items into here without the production so we’ve got to build another building up right next to this one for all the production of the

Different wood so I think for this one we’re going to jump straight back into another time lapse and put this next building together so it turns out making a time lapse of a building is really difficult to get the right angles of so that time lapse was

Real Jank it’s fine everything is fine but no though I am really really happy with the way this building turned out I did end up going back and changing it so both of these buildings now have these black and gray roofs on them as well and

Oh my it helps so much it looks so much better and uh you know one other little disaster happened in the it it would be weird if I went AFK and died and all my stuff despawned but you know it would be even weirder if it happened twice but

Either way the build looks fantastic I’m really happy with this new sloped piece that I did so what I ended up doing was moving it back a little bit or moving it Forward even and then then adding in this big straight one now this is actually functional so this is how the

Items are going to be transported from A to B into the storage here which is going to be really nice so for now we need the final piece of this puzzle and that is the actual tree farms now there is two different options we can do with

This and the thing we have to decide is whether we use windmills or bearings for our Farms now the thing is with windmills they’re pretty slow and we’ve got this big block of sails on top which really doesn’t look that great but if we use a water wheel and a bearing it’s not

Really that much more expensive than making all the sales and it actually moves significantly faster which means there is less time between trees growing and being replanted which actually makes them more efficient I am really hoping this worked cuz this is going to make the building process significantly

Easier if it does oh yes that is magnificent all right with the platform made a little bit nicer I’m going to add in these chassis followed by ployers on the back to plant the saplings and then a portable storage interface on this side with another one

There for it to connect to and then a chest right on there for storage we glue this whole guy together and that should be good so now when these trees grow they should automatically be chopped and put into storage and now I just need to do this

Another seven or eight times so that’s going to be fun all right and that is all of the Overworld trees done now I have done a thing and that thing thing is that I kind of forgot nether trees are a real pain to farm uh so what I’m going to be

Doing with those is uh I’m taking the baale approach where I just go I I just I just don’t want to deal with that so uh I’m going to leave it at this for now and we’re going to work on getting a train sorted to come and pick up all the

Items and I’m actually really proud of the little system I did for this because I’ve been sleeping on these for ages these pushup po upgrades for drawers it basically just makes them have an input and output like automatically which works with these portable storage interface I have quite literally never

Used these and I’ve had this pack for months and oh my God they are so good so good so we need to get our hands on some train casing and a couple of bits in order to make a little train to come by and pick up all these items and you

Better believe I prepped in advance for this day and I’ve set up a hose pulley in the nether going down into the Lava Lake for the good old infinite lava source and we have a crisp 512 buckets here just just waiting ready to go and also this handy dandy little setup so we

Can make some sturdy sheets and I kind of forgot that I took the presses off this because of stress reasons so um back we go oh good oh brilliant love that fantastic all right how that obsidian goes in and sturdy sheets come out nice we just grab some train casings some

Stations couple of controls some seats and we should be good to go so I just want to build up a little test train just to check this works so we’ll put down that two controls on either end glue it all together and then what uh okay I guess we’ll we’ll try one more

Just to see if that was a oneoff or if there’s some really weird things happening here assemble and I’ve literally never encountered this before I’m so confused right I’ve done some stuff and things and Y turns out it’s just an issue with the latest version of steon rails I just downgraded to the

Second earliest version and it seems to have worked so we have a train now so with a now functioning train we can actually get to designing this thing so my plan here is we’re going to have two of these little bogeys on the front and back these are what’s going to control

The movement and stuff uh and then in the middle I’m thinking maybe one or two little cargo trams and I will be real with you I am absolutely terrible at designing trains in creates so I’m almost definitely going to jump into a creative world design this thing and

Then just schematic it in because yeah no I’m I’m real bad at trains all right so I’ve placed down all the stations so we have all the pickups sorted here so we now need to make a schedule so then if we give this guy the schedule he’s going to start heading off

Out he’s going to stop here pick up a bunch of items then move on to the next one and then when the train is docked here we want it to pull out all of those well after many trials and tribulations I think my revelation of The Pusher and

Puller upgrades on the drawers is is shortlived since you can see here it works perfectly fine with the Birch saplings yet there’s there’s oak wood and sticks in here and it just doesn’t want to push it no matter what I do even if I put some in there if I manually

Update it it just does not want to do it it can only do one item at a time so like even when I do this it it just doesn’t want to go and it’s so frustrating uh so I think we’re going to have to to go back to using belts and

Stuff for this which means I’m probably going to have to redesign the trains it’s going to be a whole thing well it took me a little bit but I finally got this thing working I had to switch over all of these to use belts to input the

Items instead of everything else and now the portable storages are actually underneath and when this Parks here you can see they come up from underneath the train which is just a little bit cleaner than what we had going on before the only one that is a little bit janky is

The mangrove here because we have five outputs instead of four which means we actually need two drawers but that’s relatively simple it just goes into a tunnel like this and then into the thing so it works well and amazingly even with an absolutely enormous backlog of items

We’ve actually made our way through it which is really nice so we have everything here now ready to go although I’m kind of thinking I probably want to start back this way so we’re going to start off by just reversing the direction of this input so the the chest

Is over here this however is magnificent I’ve gone around and I’ve done a bit of filtering here with a little bit of work this now comes from here up into a chest which fills with a bit of a buffer all of our logs go along this way and

They’re going to be processed all of the Organics go down there into the uh fermenter 3000 which is going to make us loads of bone meal already and then the sticks and the mango roots are just going to get trashed for now if I think

Of a use for them in future I will change this up but for now we’re just going to trash Mangrove roots and sticks and with a little bit of magic I think I’ve actually made a basic functioning system so if I disable this these logs should yeah they should split off half

And half half of which will be turned into stripped half will be sent to Planks and yeah this seems to work pretty well it might take a little bit to work through the backlog but this is set to exactly 64 same as this guy which will then be going into this here fan

Which will be blowing upwards that way which these will then be sent to the storage Warehouse over this way but I really really really am pressed for video time today so I think I’m going to leave things here and we’re going to start off The Next Episode by finishing
