Unbelievable Minecraft Magic: Modee’s Epic Conveniences!

Good evening and welcome back to mage quest i’m modi apparatus on today’s episode we’re going to take a look at some magical convenience items that we should have made a long time ago so let’s get going all right so welcome back to mage quest i’ve been busy between episodes here did

A little bit of work on my world here first of all we went over here and i’ve been working on this little mob uh area this little spawn area here and i grabbed a bunch of these little background uh you can see on the back of the spawners there i put even

More i think i showed this off last time but i put even more back there now and you’ll notice there’s a gigantic hole in the middle now that funnels all the guys into a single area for easy convenient killing so i can get super super leveled really really quickly with this uh takes

A lot less time than it used to um it doesn’t doesn’t it’s not like zero to 30 in like like 10 minutes or anything like that it takes a little bit of time still i gotta wait for things to spawn um and wait for the skeletons to not shoot me

At the skeletons and there might have been a mistake but i like i like having the bones like having uh other things they drop like the the bows and arrows and stuff like that now now that i’ve actually uh you know got enough bows i don’t think i necessarily

Need that anymore but we’ve come down here and then everything is lined up nicely here for easy easy killing access the only thing now is that all these drops a lot of these drops they they leave for us are fairly useless um we are getting some iron occasionally

Which is nice uh we’re getting heads like crazy and uh we’re getting a lot of these spell books from uh arch magus and that’s really we’ve had way too many of those already and then i’m also getting armor which is great to uh to use to uh get essentia off of using

My thumb craft processes so i’ve been doing a lot of that uh what else did that work between episodes here oh yes there’s one gigantic thing that i worked on between episodes here last time we made some elementium armor but now we have dun dun dun

Tara steel armor we’ve done it it took a lot of diamonds it took a lot of uh ender pearls but we finally have made it let’s go throw this on right now i got it fully enchanted uh with the protection on all four pieces except this is fire

Protection which is actually really nice for uh if you get let out fire puts it out pretty quickly um and we have some thorns and unbreaking that kind of thing on there pretty cool aquafinity is also a nice convenience uh so that’s been pretty good so this is

A full level armor it’s now it’s diamond level um so we’re pretty much maxed out as far as what we can do as far as uh defense we can also add on some other things from thumb craft to give us more defense give us more layers defense

Like runic shielding uh maybe we’ll look into that here soon not today though um today there are some other things we need to work on some simpler things we need to work on actually uh oh one other thing i worked on between episodes here is we got the

Tara shatterer up to a rank and just to demonstrate what this bad boy can do at a rank it can do a five by five pattern and it is simply impressive uh oops activate there we go bam yeah look at that we’re making some gigantic tunnels here ruin the light

Landscape for everyone to enjoy already thought a little bit that down here um so yeah this is this is amazing mine through so fast and then you’ll notice the stylish pink tips on this now is because they combined it with an elementium pickaxe which elementium if you remember from last time

Will delete any cobblestone and dirt we pick up with it so that’s a really nice convenience to have it’s a very nice pickaxe uh it uses mana so it does drain our through our mana pretty quickly so we need to keep a steady reserve of it

But we do have plenty of mana on hand now bumping this up to the next ranks your s and ss is gonna be a bit of a bit of work uh we’re gonna have to do to get that one um so we’ll super work on that

I’ll keep i’ll keep charging it here but it took a long time just to get the a rank here i can’t imagine how long it’s gonna get to s so uh it might take more time than we’re willing to put into it but a-rank is still really really

Cool and good enough for me for now um what else what else what else anything else cool we worked on here uh there’s a couple magical convenience items as i mentioned a lot of them come from botania because there’s a lot of cool things in botania first of all

One of the things we need to make is the crafting halo the assembly halo really really cheap to make we should have made this rot sooner but it’s really really cool uh let me show you how this thing works you’re opening wood uh we also need some man of steel

Is that right what do we need man of steel and a man of pearl so let’s grab a man of pearl and some man of steel quick here let’s drop those off one two three four we’ll probably only need three for that but that’s okay and then all we need to make this

Is a crafting bench and that would have been nice to have this sooner i wish i would have put this together it wasn’t in the game originally when we first started playing here um with this whole modpack we’ve been playing this mob back for a very long time

Uh it might be time to move on soon i think um but we won’t move on just yet uh there’s some things i want to do still here so this is the crafting halo so anytime i equip this it puts a crafting bench right in front

Of me no matter where i go so crafting benches are a thing of the past now all i need is my assembly halo and you’ll notice this pink ring around me now it says recipe no set so not set no set um so what we can do is uh let’s grab

Some wood out and we’ll do something cool with this um let’s go i think this will work i haven’t tested it yet but um let’s go like this so basically you can craft with this just clicking right in front of you when you have the assembly halo

In your hand um what we’re gonna do is first of all teach it to make some things so we’re gonna make a chest for instance and then all we need to do is right click there and that sets us a chest so if i click this again

It makes a chest for us so i have two i have three knife four it’s using up all of our wood to make us some more chests here just like that so we have five so i think that we can also use this to make barrels which is nice because barrels

Are very tedious to make uh so look like this and tell it to make that and now let’s go like this and go bam and now it’s going to tell us we don’t have the materials now we do so we do have the materials and it will

Let’s see let’s make up four of those and see if it will make it doesn’t want to do the previous processes okay so that’s good to know but we have to basically click over here then click over here and then if we want to really make

Things super simple all we’ll need to do is craft in uh this oak slabs and so then as long as we have the oak slabs equipped here if you can go bam bam and as long as we have some wood on us and we can actually even tell it to do that even

So we can click this and now i can make barrels just by standing right here i can go bam bam bam bam free barrel not free it’s using my own materials but it didn’t have to go anywhere i didn’t do any special steps as far as magical crafting goes that’s pretty cool

Uh we can do it for other things like pistons stuff like that we don’t want to make too often uh that’s tedious to make um so we can just tell it as long as we have the materials in our inventory you just help to make a piston

If we want to get rid of these all you need to do is shift left click and it takes those away so let’s actually tell it to uh make one more of those quick here um what’s the recipe on those oh we need to make one more of these to

Do it there we go and we’ll do uh we can also do the uh nei stuff with this too as you probably just noticed a second ago here we can click in and it still works just like a regular crafting table pretty great uh we’ll do that so all as long as we

Have the materials for a barrel we can make barrels really easily using our assembly halo very cool the other nice convenience we could have we should have made a long time ago it’s fairly cheap to make all we need is uh i need obsidian okay let’s grab some obsidian

Um oh i have 52 obsidian now subsidian is super easy to get now they have this terror shatterer because i can just make a pool of it using water and lava and just mine it all at once it’s very very special now that i have this uh

Level five here too the five by five is amazing for getting a little obsidian really quickly but what we can do now is actually make a special item i think it’s like this um where is it the hand of ender let’s take a look here quick i don’t quite remember the recipe i

Think there might be a mana pearl involved in which case we have to actually run back out of here i think there is a mana pearl involved that’s the issue uh so let’s go grab that quick here from any mana pool there we go and now we should be able to make it

Let’s bring out our assembly uh with halo now too why not all right now that we’ll need to make more than one of these but we can actually just craft it really quickly here ah man it’s gonna be so great having this thing now

So i think we just go like this and like this and we have it the hand of ender the y the reason we want this it’s really cool because we can access our ender chest just like that now it does require mana to do so but uh we have mana pretty

Much all the time so now we can access our energies we’ll throw all the good stuff in here that we don’t want to carry with us at all times like our assembly halo and we don’t have to have it with us at all times we have as long as we have

This we have everything that we have in our chest here and we’ll clean this out so it’s just the essentials in here it’ll be really really convenient it’ll be so cool so i think i don’t know i mean we might be ready to fight some bosses

Here i think we might be ready to uh get uh mr uh corporal corporal chicken chicken golem together here and let him go fight some bosses with us i think it might be time the wither has been uh plaguing this land for far too like he doesn’t have

Anything to do with this land i was trying to be poetic there but it’s not gonna matter um we need skulls in which case we made this elementium pickaxe or pick we’ve made an element to axe we can go uh chop down some withers in the nether and maybe get some wither

Skulls then we can actually fight the weather maybe next episode work on that um for this episode we’re all about convenience items and making new things i think that’ll play in right to our quests though as well because right now we’re working on the thumb craft quest

And we’re in the quest book here for the house lexamani initiate quests uh and i did a little bit of work between episodes here i did this one quest here this calculative cubics of a magic there we go that’s a tough word to say uh and basically was just crafting jars

And the crafting the runic matrix two things we’ve done before and then after that it brought us on to braving the elements now this basically is a task that’s going to have us create each of the elemental tools uh that are part of thumb craft we

Should have made these all a long time ago we’ve made these two before now the interesting thing about this quest in the book here is that i couldn’t use the ones i’ve created before i tried i really tried i got them all even uh even i brought them down to like

I took the enchantments off of them um it still wouldn’t work i think the games can just tell that you are not using the ones that were just created for some reason so uh we had to remake those all and then we also are working on now

Making the shovel of the earth mover and the sword of the zephyr i think we can actually make those two things pretty easily though let’s clear out our pack quick here um and actually let’s just throw it all into a chest over here someplace so that should be everything we need

Right now we want to have lots of room for uh doing some rafting here with some magics and thumb craft uh things so what we’ll need is a couple of thumbium swords and picks and shovels and all that good stuff here which i’ve already conveniently made uh

This one i’ve actually found in a reward bag i think at some point and then i think i’m almost set up for an infusion upstairs here i started working on it like yeah let’s do that on camera here so uh we have our tara we have our

What else do we need for this let’s take a look here quick and see what’s all involved in making the sort of the shovel of the earth mover i don’t remember i think we did make this before once um this is the fabrico that’s right fabrico and that favorite code just

Comes from crafting tables is the easiest way to get that so we made some right here oh i should mention other convenience i made lately i’m doing all magical conveniences episode i think i know what the title’s going to be um i made this little clay golem here with his

Alchemy upgrade here basically he is decanting this into all of these so everything that’s getting made here i don’t have to have the separate uh ammo backs anymore he just takes it all right here and just distributes to all of my things here i don’t think i have quite

Enough yet for all of the different essentia but we’re getting close we’re getting close to the end as far as that’s concerned uh we need that bring that fabric upstairs here though i need labels for a lot more jars here too and so this process is pretty quick and easy

Uh he just will uh basically decant all the stuff in here to eat to the jars he set up the bell oh do i have the bell i should look at that quick here because the bell looks pretty amazing if you have to pull it out and look at him ah

There it is so let’s let’s equip that and let’s uh yeah it looks pretty great um we’re just gonna make sure we set up for all of these jars uh to distribute all of them and as long as he is he’ll just continue to carry around

All the stuff that uh he has and drop it off at each of these these jars here um we’re missing some jars here we should probably replace those soon but yeah so that’s that’s pretty cool um and so what else oh we need food do i have food anywhere

I think i dropped it in the chest back there okay let’s go downstairs and grab some food not that we need it because our hunger will regenerate uh there’s one baked potato in there that’s not going to cut it uh let’s grab some brains brains aren’t food well i

Guess you can’t eat them i suppose and get a little knowledge in the process that’s how eating brains works that’s why zombies are so interested in brains because they’re so stupid they want to eat the people’s memories and gain their in their uh aspects basically it’s how that works um

So now we’re working on making our next infusion which is the shovel of the earth mover which we’ve done before i believe uh and these are pretty minor um pretty minor infusions i think i should double check it quick okay let’s double check it quick we have that

We have that we have the four things got it okay we’re good we’re good we know what we’re doing here we’ve done our first rodeo here as far as uh infusions go wait why is it not taking that wait wait oh it’s taking that first okay it’s

Like oh why is it not taking it oh good it just needs a lot of this first and then it’s gonna worry about that all right and then it’s gonna do the rest of it here so i’ve cleared out this area over here so that we can put in

Some nodes once we’re ready this is where my node room is gonna be i’m gonna clean it up so it looks a little better eventually but it’s kind of starting to build it out uh let’s get some snow in here which i don’t like

There it is okay so we got the shovel of the earth mover and now we’re one step closer to our completion of this quest let’s take a look here quick and so now we need the sword of the zephyr which we actually haven’t made before so this will be exciting it’ll be a

Brand new thing here let’s drop off our sword into here and then we’ll need some other things let’s go downstairs here quick and we’ll see if i have everything i need in here uh i do not uh we need these two of those we’ll need another diamond

And we’ll need a great wood log actually we’ll need two more dimes because we have one more thing to make after this we’ll need two of those two of those and that that should do it then we just need the essentia and hopefully i have what i need uh already on hand

Let’s take a look and see how our good our golem did here um also this golem you can’t really see it that well but eel’s also wearing a bow tie because bow ties are cool um all right sort of the zephyr and we go like this so

Zephyr okay so we need air shard thumb of sword and we need modis air and potentia now i think i carry the potential upstairs already the air is right here and i think that’s everything so modus and potential were right there before i think it took him upstairs already

So let’s take a look here okay there’s the potential there’s the modis we’re all set up for this here let’s take this down take this down you put in the air first bam and then we’ll take in and put down these bam and then one of these like so

And then one of these like so and like i said these infusions aren’t anything special here why is that not working we break it how do we break it why is it not working oh that’s the reason we have two diamonds on there instead of a piece of

Great wood that’s perfect that doesn’t let you accidentally do the wrong thing here now we’ve got the right stuff in there now it should work there we go yeah it wasn’t too tough we just had to take a good look at other things around us here

So it was all my mistake there it was also due to the effect of the the the tools built into the game here always make you replace whatever item you drop it always replaces your inventory with it it’s a nice convenience theme of the episode convenience

And uh yeah so we’ll make this here quick and uh hopefully no conveniences will continue to plague us here on top of everything else so the sword of the zephyr is created now let’s see what again i didn’t actually read what this can do um i believe it

Has something to do with the wind and let’s see blocking with a sword will conjure a sphere of swirling winds around you pushing enemies and loose objects away deflecting incoming projectiles while blocking will also slowly lift you in the air that sounds exciting let’s try that out

Neat oh we still take damage when we fall though um that’s kind of cool can we avoid fall damage with this thing kind of yeah we can pretty much avoid fall damage with it which is kind of nice uh it does seven damage but we could always upgrade this with some sharpness

And it’d be a really defensive decent sword i bet um so it can deflect projectiles it can what else can it do uh when attacking with it it will sweep in a wide arc hitting additional foes near your main target so it’ll hit more than just one thing

That’s nice okay so i think we should worry about upgrading this maybe it’s going to be a bad sword it is on par with i think it’s on par with the tara steel uh sword here actually let’s take a look here quick the tara steel sword is a

Plus seven attack yeah it’s the same actually this wouldn’t be a bad sword to upgrade if we wanted to get a nice sword that’s a fairly easy early game uh melee weapon so yeah that’s not that tough to make actually comparatively this is like a late game weapon it does the

Exact same damage as the i guess this is this advantage of this one is it doesn’t have a projectile component to it though um where you can shoot out a beam of mana energy out of it occasionally i don’t know when it happens i think it’s not all the time though

So then let’s take a look at our quest here finally and see if we’ve wrapped up another one here last one i promise thank you for that uh and now we’re making the hoe of growth let’s take a look at the hoe of growth now the whole growth i believe

Works as like a bone meal kind of thing right by merging the magical energy from the order and entropy shards with the thumbnail hoe you’ve created farming implement with a few equals it tills fields in a 3×3 pattern and when used on crops it will act as

Bone meals for growth at the higher cost of its durability so it can even grow plants that can’t be bone yield oh that’s nice uh and then shift as hell by using the tool all special properties are suspended and it’ll function like normal hoe okay cool between herba

Meadow and tara and then the normal things for this okay let’s grab those out and we can finish another quest in our book and advance further into our studies uh we need herba we need what did i say oh we need a meadow and what else

Tara which should already be in our pack yes it is all right let’s head back upstairs then i love those things i gotta put those everywhere um so let’s lay down the stuff we need here and then we’ll uh do the next infusion here this is going along really nicely

Um these are not too difficult though so there’s meadow we have enough of everything we have enough of everything which is kind of also convenient um modis no no no no nope tara yes let’s see herba yes oh meadow yes and tara yes okay so let’s grab our hoe and throw it in

The middle here next we need our order shard then we need our entropy shard and then we need our great wood log and then we need our diamond ah yeah convenience there it is comes up once again throwing up throwing a wrench in the works all right so now we’ve got

Everything set up correctly and bam we’re doing it one more time oh boy all right so this was a bit of a task i mean you didn’t even see the first two and as you can see this is already a tedious one which they’re aware of given that the

Title this one is last one i promise we get an enchanted book from this and our pick between two probably worthless reward bags um we’ll find out though maybe they’ll have something cool in them who knows we’ll find out in one moment and the hoof growth i mean i don’t think

I’ll use it too often but it’ll complete the quest for us at least and uh i guess there’s a convenience to that fitting the theme of the episode that’s good all right so full of growth cool and let’s uh can we use the sort of the

Cypher to not die from fall damage here okay which is going to be a big risk here we’re going to do it we’re going to do it we’re going to do it we’re going to do it we’re going to do it oh yeah look at that we have the power of the skies

Um so if we do this it’s like bone meal first of all let’s till this oh yeah look at that one by one radius um we couldn’t really tell the benefits of it they’re just there and they’ll fill this back in and then we can uh bonemeal it like so

That’s the cost of the durability of course so i’m gonna want to do that too often then again who knows if we’re gonna actually use that too often here so that should finish the quest for us now sort of the zephyr we definitely will use i don’t know about the rest of this

Stuff though uh the pickaxe of the core probably not anymore acts of the stream probably not useful enough to keep carrying around with us um repair too all right that’s a nice one to put on one of our new weapons here and actually we have repair already in this one here

Uh can we make a repair three let’s go take a look and see if that’s a possibility because that might be really nice to put on some of these things especially now that we have this nice enchanting uh ability with mana here man and enchanting can we make a repair

Three let’s find out here quick repair three oh repair two only okay that’s good to know uh so you don’t have two repair books so we can have two in there anyways um anything else we want to put on these maybe i don’t know we have to work on

Getting more enchantments i think we’re not quite there yet i’m breaking three would be good for some of these things um efficiency would be nice and then we have just a bunch of sharpness would be good for this sword that’ll bring it up to 11 damage i think because this one’s 11

So at least 11 but we won’t have looting on there so we need to probably get a looting book somehow and that’s gonna be super super rare to get but if we can get that that’d be great um so looting is what the one thing i’m not

Uh well we haven’t moved off the man of steel just yet because i can’t get that on other swords too easily we do need to get the books for if we want to do the whole mana enchanting process but uh let’s take a look at the next

Quest then so next we have the ammo back construction we’ve already done all this we need essentia valves by eight we need uh ammo backs times six well and we need two chemical furnaces now will it let me use the stuff i already have that’s the next question all right so

Let’s take a look here quick and see what it says will it through manual detection well did this uh it’s not counting those i wonder if it’s because the quest book updated um after after i uh updated that i made these more these more recently than everything else i think

And that’s the issue arcane animalbex times six man okay let’s take a look here quickly we’ll have to make all those it’s gonna take a bit of time and actually it’s gonna be fairly tedious now that we have our assembly halo though it won’t be

That bad um we just gotta get all the items we need in our inventory we got a good reward here let’s take a look and see what a good reward looks like blank slates that’s actually not that shabby for reward um that would take us like five seconds

To actually make though i think at this point we’ll throw them in with our other blood magic stuff man we really need to take care of that wither so we can get our next level of blood magic going on here i don’t know what else we want to do with blood magic

But uh for completion sake we should get level five right definitely we’re already set up for we just got to make the uh let’s not get the beacons going we’ll need a lot of beacons i think there’s some stuff in botania we can do with beacons too

There’s all kinds of stuff we can do still um all right so basically next things next quest we’ll probably do off camera because this is gonna be kind of boring actually making the essential valves with apple backs alchemical furnaces and then we’ll see what the quest is after that one any

Other quests we want to take care of today while we still have a little bit of time hedge mage arsenal oh this shouldn’t be too tough we can make fire arrows we can do potions to go that’s not too tough uh fit for a king this is the uh

Emperor’s chalice i think it’s called and it will uh basically it’s infinite water but you don’t want to drink it because it does cost life to do so um let’s see take that oh this sounds interesting okay so we can make a void tier empty voice here i think we have

The means to do that let’s take a look and see what a void tier is involved in uh void oh wow there’s a lot of stuff we need to do we can have void metal this is like the evil stuff though but look at this we can make void hose

And uh cool axes avoid sword with lesser sapping and warping one our empty void tier requires two eyes vendor two gas tears ah let’s see if we have that um do we have two gas tiers anymore we have one oh now okay wait wait wait wait

I think we can turn a guest here and we can turn ender pearl into a gas here so let’s count on that happening uh we’ll need two blaze powders and it should be good okay i think with our our alchemical uh processes over here we can do a little switcheroo on it and

Turn this into no that’s not right hmm is it this yeah it’s that we can turn it up we can’t go the other way around we can’t turn uh ender pearl into yes here so we’re out of everything we need for that one can’t do it just yet we’ll have to go to

The nether to get that one taken care of but this sounds interesting um it like basically looks i think it works like a portable barrel actually uh kind of thing like you can have an inventory and your stuff will flow into that instead of uh everything else here fortune coin

That doesn’t seem like that’d be that tough uh let’s do that one quick here i think that’s pretty easy i think it’s like a magnet type thing here um let’s go coin i think it’s called right there it is and that’s pretty easy it’s uh glowing water which is just condensed splash serum

Not too tough to make and then eyes of ender four of those and some gold okay we can make that quick uh let’s go craft it so let’s go over here and grab out some more ender pearls four of those put this one away for now and we’ll need another blaze rod here

Craft that down and then what else do we need we need gold or gold and what else uh oh glowing water we need to make this here so we need to actually make a few vials and actually vials are part of this quest here too i believe right uh we gotta make empty

Vials for this anyway so actually we’ll take two two birds with one stone as we’re fond of saying uh so let’s take a look and see what once it takes to make a vial um let’s do file oops didn’t mean to click it double time there we go vial

And that is just panes okay cool we have that for sure someplace uh could i tell you where i honestly don’t know will we find it probably not and then we need to make the vials which is pretty easy to make i don’t have my assembly halo on me it’s too

I’m standing right next to a might as well just do it this way okay that’s five and then we’ll go over here and fill them with water and that’ll take care of this quest here yep and then we have to do water okay ordinary water and we’ll just go like so over here

And these don’t stack or they do stack that’s nice and then i think we messed around with these a little bit in uh survival sea lab actually condensed solvent um what’s the recipe for that uses condensed solvent is just a another wart and a does the vial or we

Can do gunpowder and make it into the splash serum so we need splash serum for our project we’re working on right now we’ll need uh another wart um let’s see where that might be i know i have some someplace ah here we go so we’ll need uh five of those

So let’s do this let’s go uh let’s make these one of these to complete the quest here because i think that’s part of it here and that takes care of that and then we need splashing out we need to make that splash serum next anyways so it’s right in our

Path to complete a couple tasks at once here so we’ll make this like this and we got those together okay so we have the condensed splash here and we’ll put this together with the glowstone dust to make the glowing splash here and then finally we’ll put these together

To make the gold coin oh we mixed it up though cool coin of fortune draws in nearby items in xp right click the toggle very nice so it works like a magnet uh very nice very nice okay so let’s take a look and see if we finish this quest here

We did we can claim all of this which is nice get a few more of those back and oh my gosh our work is cut out for us here we need to make a lot of different things here this one’s taken care of ready uh glowing potion let’s see what it

Actually does uh create potions allows you to utilize the power of light slaughtering the undead and much much more so the splash serum will cause damage to the undead oh that might be nice to make these for uh our uh little farm over there if we can kill the undead really really easily

With it that could be kind of cool um and then we need to make all these different potions so next time we’re gonna be making a lot of potions i think we’ll be the potion master next time around uh let’s finish this up here we’ll claim the reward

Let’s get a golden ingots are probably more valuable than a reward bag i wish you told me which level reward bag it was that’s right though uh and then getting off my lawn this is for interdiction torches okay we’ll work on that next time i think i think it’s

Going to do it i think it’s my time for this episode uh we did a couple things made a couple items uh now we have a magnetic thing here i don’t know if it’s activated or not it doesn’t tell us if it’s oh now it is oh okay cool

Oh it does a little uh jingle when it’s uh activated and this is nicely that doesn’t have durability i think the the magnetic um does this one take this one take durability let’s go take a look at this bobble over here there’s a ring we built

Uh last episode i think i didn’t make it on camera but uh we made it uh let’s see i don’t think the freaking magnetization um i guess the the advantage here is that we don’t have to have anything equipped though we can just have this on us

And activate it and it’ll just work um so it does work like the magnet in that regard doesn’t have durability there’s a right click and it’s just gonna go and there’s no downside to having it unless you don’t get magnetized and they just turn it off
