Unleashing Thaumcraft & Steam Power: FTB Interactions Lp #7

Hello again welcome back to Asgard and welcome back to FTB interactions so since last episode it actually hasn’t been a long time since the last episode I mean everything’s pretty much still the same but I have been working on some food stuff and if we pop up here

Hopefully this stuff is grown enough that we can harvest some of it I did get the other crops that we needed I got them planted radishes I’m still waiting on and I got my chicken moved over there oh all of our walls are gone that’s one thing that’s changed we don’t have any

More walls I went ahead and pulled them up because they really weren’t doing much other than just blocking our view and we’re gonna be out of this area fairly soon anyways so I did go ahead and pull those up and gather up just a little bit of this stuff unfortunately

Most of stuff isn’t grown yet so well that’s okay I got scallions cabbage and rice and then I over here I have radishes planted as well but they’re not grown so I’m gonna give those a little bit and we’re gonna get some of the some

Of the other stuff done and then we will we’ll come back to that actually I need to get 33 cinnamon 33 cinnamon per harvest that’s awesome you get from those type things you get three per harvest and I’m gonna go ahead and just grind all that up because I need it I

Need it ground up so anyways this fridge right here is basically I’m gonna keep like two stacks and eventually in due time we’re gonna be able to get the preservation chamber I guess technically we could go ahead and get the US I mean I need nether quartz but you know what I

Actually got when we were exploring I got a little bit of nether quartz so I should at least get honestly I’d like to get at least three preservation chambers so we’re gonna do a little bit foods food related stuff because that’s an ongoing kind of thing we’re going to do

A little bit of that and then we’re gonna switch gears oh no you know what it is it’s over here I have to find the tree I want to get these leggings they have protection one on them so I’m wearing those because I broke on my armor but anyways there was

These five things plus the turkey these are all used for making our thankful dinners all the rest of stuff is for the Korean dinner that we’re about to get into it does take a lot of ingredients but it’s actually fairly easy to make but anyways we can take our preservation

Chambers and we can just right-click that and then come over here oh wait I guess I dropped it okay when come over here and let me just set that and we can right-click doubts and you can actually see it says upgrade preservation chamber and then this one

Over here doesn’t matter right now we will eventually add preservation chambers and really kind of sort out ingredients but right now it doesn’t matter so and then we’ll add a preservation chamber to that one okay so then if I was to come over and for example like milk let’s say the main

Thing I’ve been using this for has been making heavy cream I don’t think Oh and cheese I make cheese with it but I’ve got plenty of cheese built up okay so let me let me come over here let me make some heavy cream now normally this would

Basically pull all the milk out and just craft whenever i shift-click this okay I got a stack and a stack in 15 okay didn’t make a full stack there at the end but if we come over here you can see that it left one milk and all these

Slots now I can still pull this out but it’s not going to ever use that that way I can easily see what I’m missing and kind of fill it back up you know as I get the stuff so and that’s going to do that for all three of these so I don’t

To worry about replacing and all yes that’s no fun okay so then what we were going to do now if that’s in place I need to set this up because right now I’m actually having to manually pull all this turkey out and it does take a while

I mean I don’t think I have a whole lot of turkey I’ve got one in there and two in there but what we’re going to do just to make this a little bit quicker is we’re going to make ourselves some conveyor belts at long last and for this

We’re going to need a bit of plastic which is dry rubber which is sticky resin that’s being dried on a dry rag and we’re gonna need quite a bit of that so let me go go pop over here we’ve got some sticky resin but I’m probably gonna

Have to get some more because I’m gonna need honestly for conveyer should be fine for what I need but I need an extraction conveyor which is a little bit more plastic and then I’m going to need an insertion conveyor this extraction is okay so just write

Slimeball tin say how much did we need six seven eight I’m one short basically awesome and then I’m also gonna have to make a whole bunch of stone gears which are just sticks and cobblestone so I’m just gonna grab let’s see we’ll grab a stack of sticks and we’ll grab a stack

Of cobblestone and that should be that should be fine and then we’ll go ahead and get those and I got the advancement geologically mechanical okay so I put my drying racks away let me pull these out for right now we’re gonna place these right here naturally we’re gonna do it in style so

We’re gonna be moving a lot of this stuff over to the snow base here very very very very soon so possibly even during this episode moving some stuff over I’m not for sure we’ll see and can I just oh no I’m not gonna be able to oh there we go

And run as I say I’m not gonna be able to uh I can’t I actually cannot vein mine now that’s like one of the few trees that we cannot vein mine okay let’s pop over here I actually probably had the rubber wood I probably didn’t have to do that but that’s fine and

We’re gonna drop this into there and get ourselves a bit more sticky resin that’ll be fine actually and we’ll go ahead and get this stuff drying and there’s a bit of our rubber okay and then back to the conveyor belts which I guess I should go ahead and get this

Stuff smelting up we’ll drop that into the layer and I’m gonna grab like two pieces of coal and this stuff’s already converted this stuff on the drying racks converts super fast so and you can cook that in the kyon if you so desire and then for the extraction we’re going to

Need a slime ball and then for the insert we need a whopper which I’ve already got that okay so let me whip up a slime ball just really really quick oh and by the way I have toughness you may have noticed that’s from getting my nutrition up vegetables up to 97 percent

Protein is closing in once you hit 90 percent and above you get another rank of toughness so it max you get toughness 5 which is wonderful and so we’re about so we’re gonna have toughness 5 here very very very very soon so probably I’ll probably eat one of these curry and dead

As soon as we get that done so which we’re about to go get that stuff together to make that so there’s our white conveyor belt to quest completed quest completed automate all the things and white conveyor belts if we take a look here that’s actually from the very

First tab and we oh we get an insertion conveyor and an extraction conveyor as a reward awesome so we’ll go ahead and just take those and I’m actually still going to go ahead and craft the other another copy of these just because I have the resources and we’re going to need them conveyors

Are gonna be super useful as we progress and then they automate all the things is probably yeah right here so we’ve got black conveyor belt okay and let me go ahead and harvest what I can off of the US and this time around this should be enough for us to start

Making some Korean dinners so okay so there we go I’m really low on cabbage right now so I may pop back over there here in just a second see if I can get some cabbage but anyways what we’re going to do is actually I will need to extraction conveyors anyways so now that

I think about it so what we are going to do is let’s see and this is all going to get refined a bit later on once we have some other tools because I’m gonna have like a big furnace type setup over here but what we’ll do is we’re gonna set up

Those that sounds good and then I go ahead and drop this stuff in today it’s gonna take a little while for this stuff to build up but here soon when everything is growing and I’m not harvesting it as soon as I get it no I want oh you can’t do that thing

With these or you jump there we go okay so what we’re gonna do we’re gonna actually I wonder EF actually sure if this works about putting an extraction upgrade on the US no I put it right there okay that works then then what I’ll do is set up another conveyor right

And just have it run over to the the fridges but I’m not gonna do that just yet we’re gonna do that lighter and have the fridges managed so so anyways that is setup awesome and then what I want to do now we’re actually at the point where

We can start turning our attention to the Korean dinner and this we are gonna need a cutting board let me pop over and make one of these because I like to have them in the crafting stations right now because it allows me to kind of manage

It a little bit better than just having the cooking type on having that big bulk of stuff I think the cook I wish cooking for Blockheads would get like like some updates to its UI that would be awesome because like imagine if cooking for Blockheads if you could open it up and

You could like bookmark certain recipes and like you could pull up that recipe and click on like the subsequent parts and craft those or you know even if you had all the ingredients for all the subsequent parts just click it and it crafts all of it it might be a little

Bit hope-a then because it would be like actually like an Ikea system for your food but it would be kind of cool if there was some like UI updates cuz it’s been pretty pretty much the same where you just have that little bitty box you have to scroll

Through or searching in but it’s still super useful and I wouldn’t trade it for anything but I do like having the crafting stations to kind of kind of consolidate the main recipes that we’re making especially since we’re making the ultimate foods it’s just gonna help us

Out a lot as far as organizing those things okay so there is our cutting board and let’s pop back over let’s drop the cutting board into here this is going to be our Korean dinner so the first thing well actually let’s go ahead and just get some lettuce because that’s

Simple and we can knock something off of the list very very easily so there’s 64 lettuce then we need to make bulgogi and bulgogi is beef any kind of raw beef garlic black pepper sugar or honey ginger scallions and soy sauce soy sauce is soybean salt and water we are gonna

Have to make a juicer and to do this Oh actually I have the stone on me so let’s get a stone pressure plate and there’s our juicer okay and I need to make another one of these tool racks I’ll get that made later so anyways our soy sauce this let’s go

Ahead and order a stock about and I’m just gonna drop that that’s actually gonna go right in here and then with that we can make bulgogi and let’s go ahead and get ourselves let’s say 17:17 bulgogi so next up we need on the rice which is beef rice scallions carrots

Onions and eggs easy enough and once again I’m gonna get what am I missing probably beef I bet I ran out of beef no I’ve got beef oh you know what I bet I ran out of scallions I’ll bet okay so we’re only gonna get nine on the rice

And then the other thing that we need is kimchi which is salt cabbage darling ginger radish scallions I’m actually gonna use ginger okay on here and then sesame seed but I am going to need some more scallions before I can make any kimchi so let me pop over

And if you’re not on the discord I actually made kimchi not too long ago in real life but we made quite a bit of it okay well I’ve got three scallions that’s fine and I’ll make I’ll make more once I get some more scallions starting out these

Foods are gonna be tough to craft but honestly I’m at the point where I could like whip up a lot of thankful dinners very very easily so it gets better I think it’s much better so kimchi we’re just gonna make as much as we can which is three drop that into there

There we go we now have Korean dinners another top two your food and this one he has grain protein vegetables so it’s missing the dairy and the fruit that’s fine but it’s 8.4% to those three which is pretty massive so we’ll go ahead and drop that into there and I should

Be really good because it’s dairy fruit and grain and dairy and fruit are gonna be the things that I’m probably gonna be lacking so there’s six of those actually let’s go ahead and get ten of those and then Kind of looking for things that have fruit and dairy in them ideally actually I’m gonna make some Fiesta corn salad so I’m just gonna get like six down no not that so there’s nine of those okay so we’ve got thankful dinners and Korean dinners and next next episode as far as

And then we’ve got 8 low-grade charcoal that should be good to get us started but we’re gonna be making a lot of salus moon discs I think we could probably still use the original recipe where you use the 3 V crystals and all that but honestly this is actually cheaper it

Might be a little bit more involved to craft I guess but we don’t do use up a whole bunch of V crystals to do this so that’s good and then we’re gonna get our local valence dust there’s 36 of dots and then we’re gonna take this and do

That and then I just need 4 V crystals and so there’s 4 Salus moon dhis so no the stone mallet I guess it’s about oh no I’m out of mana okay let me get some more of that out there we go there’s 4 Salus mundus okay and then what we’re

Going to need to do is let’s get ourselves a crafting table oops there’s that we’re gonna throw this down let’s put it right here for right now that’s fine and then we’re gonna take our soundless moon dust and just right-click it and it’s going to transform it into

100% mana orb which requires that we get forced okay that’s easy enough we’re gonna need the last Pines let me I’ll actually got these and I didn’t look our glass panes standard in this back do I just do that yes okay I’m gonna go ahead and just turn all

These into glass orbs because we’re probably gonna need them or time maybe and then let’s get ourselves a bucket of the US and what we’re going to do is take this and throw it in there and you could see we got a hundred percent man Oh whoop okay and

Then we need the four gold plates which I’ve actually got six gold and then this right here do we want to go ahead and yeah actually I should do this the right way let’s break that down we got three crushed gold and what we’re going to do

Need to clean this first I got centrifuged yellow lime and I don’t even know that makes yellow limonite dust actually I guess I could you can wash it first is that can you do that oh no I’ve never even tried it yeah yeah you can

All this at once throw it in there and it only takes one segment of the water and washes all of it so but the s I would love to get lapiz right now but we can’t because we have to wait until we get the autoclave basically I think will be like the first

Point that we can do that which is gonna be LV power so we talked about that in the stream actually last night so okay and our yellow limonite oh this only smelts up to nuggets that’s why we got so much of it so yeah really the

The banded iron because it comes out to be Nuggets too and I don’t really want that so that’s why I’ve been melting now actually I think we’ve probably got extra hearts now too don’t we I mean think about that which that could probably eat and boost my protein

Yeah we’re ninety percent so we have no no I think it has to be over 90 percent to get the next year of toughness but yeah we’ve got two extra hearts now and I guess really I should get three more blocks of iron so we can make the tool

Forge but we’ll do that later I don’t know if I want to I’m not gonna bother smelting that right now it’s not worth my time and effort once we get a little bit farther once we get some steam power will deal with it but honestly that stuff I’d rather just cook into ingots

Cuz I don’t care till you automate it’s not worth messing with all those Nuggets just too much junk okay I went ahead night one of those Korean dinners and we’re up to toughness – we were actually at 98 percent in a hundred percent on the proteins of vegetables grains

Steadily getting there it’s the dairy and fruit that’s gonna take a little while but we’ll get it especially once we get some other meals crapped it up and stuff it’s just there’s not a whole lot even if the ultimate foods there’s not a whole lot that have that but once

You get it up to hundred what foods we have should keep it up there so okay so let’s get ourselves another caldron and then what we can do is we can just drop this on the ground hit it with our Salus mundus quest completed crucible and we’ll go ahead

And grab that okay so that’s complete and that means we’ve unlocked the alchemy tab whoops and there was a quest I’m assuming it’s under magic stick yeah it’s right here so the crucible and then they want us to make alchemical brass which is my first

Objective that I want to do I also want to do the ever full urn which is fairly easy to make we’re gonna get into that you can do the low stone which yeah we could no that’s for doubling though but there is a way yeah right here the tiny

Piles of glow stone which takes convene medium covalence to us so we can make glow stone before we go to the nether but anyways this is what I actually want to make and this we make by throwing copper in with instrumentum okay so let’s go set this up right there and we

Have to figure out a good source for instrumentum and from what I understand it is disabled in this pack to be able to just look it up through jei yes there’s also let’s say there’s also theory crafting we’ll get into that later I’m not gonna worry about that

Right this second basic alchemy there we go we’ve learned basic alchemy and alchemical metallurgy we need to get this we’ve already got that we just need to get an alchemical brass ingot to complete that so let’s go ahead instrumentum what would be the best source of instrumentum shears have 12

I’m gonna go ahead and get some copper broken down which I’ve got all of this so let’s go ahead we’re gonna need a lot of copper here soon like a whole bunch so there we go we got a quest complete and I think we’re now we’re going through the quests

On the metallurgy section we are and then they want a sticky ax ten dust copper dust bronze dust bronze ingots copper ingots ten bronze we’re not gonna do the bronze dust just yet but that’s okay let’s go ahead and throw that in there and we’re gonna get a stack of

Copper dust and we’ll just go over here we’ll just get that smelting up I mean I could melt it which might be more efficient actually yeah that’s done I’m just gonna melt it because lava is easy and it won’t take but a second okay but

Should make another whale just to make our lives a little bit easier because we’re gonna be doing our crafting on our little sky block island it’s like our main use I guess for the sky block island at this point it’s basically turning it into a big nasty place

Just be able to I think we could melt it or we could smelt it since this is running that’s actually almost done I also need to get this ten converted over to so I’ll tell you what I’m gonna smelt some of this just because I can and then

I’m gonna throw away in like some bronze and some tin and that stuff will run next okay oh I had oh yeah spell ting that earlier we’ve got bronze ingots there we go and quest complete bronze ingot so yeah and now there’s a chance we might run into some of those mutant

Stuff okay now the next thing that I want to do I’ve actually been over here it’s been a couple days since I cut of course I have been busy with some real life stuff but I haven’t started working over here a little bit up that’s very very rough and actually I don’t think

I’m gonna keep these black these core blocks I’m debating between a couple different color schemes so I’ve just been playing around over here with some X tunes but there was an update and we can’t use the island home commands anymore so now what I’ve done is I made

But so yeah we’re not gonna be able to get those right now but anyways I want to get some tallow and what I want to do is complete Hegg alchemy and there’s gonna be another step we have to craft gunpowder slimeball ink sac and glowstone dust and to do this we’re

Going to need gunpowder we’re gonna need a slime ball we’re going to ink sack and we’re gonna need glowstone dust okay so I want to go ahead and get this stuff started today in this episode but we’ll probably finish up maybe next in the next episode so anyways we’re gonna have

To make ourselves a piece of glowstone see medium covalence dust it’s low covalence dust brass dust a little bit of mana forethought and none of them would be enough for us to make a single piece of globe stone so let’s go ahead and do that which isn’t gonna be fun to

Actually get the brass dust though and then we’re gonna have to make a bunch of the US okay there’s gonna be fine which actually I think I have a piece of illumination powder over here I believe so that we’ve gotten from from an astral sorcery temple no I don’t think we do

Okay so what I’m gonna have to do is I’m gonna have to get I figure we’ll start with this one because I think this one’s gonna be the worst the brass dust is zinc and three times copper or we can break down brass ingots which we’ve got

Those and so I think that would be the best option for us let’s go ahead and do for crafts okay so there’s a Flint mortar and then we’ll get our four brass dust easy enough and then the let’s see the medium covalence dust we’re gonna need covalence dust and man and we’ll

Use one bucket of mana for this so I’m going to need 16 local valence dust and 16 redstone and of course I’m just gonna squeeze this stuff down oh and there was another stream since I cut and we got this stuff up here putting in and worked

A little bit on the upstairs and started designing out the pathway to go to the upstairs and and all that and I’m actually other was a creeper that exploded but I have fixed that so but yeah and and then we put little storage hooks in here with rustic cabinets so

Okay so there’s our local valence dust and then we need to get our medium covalence dust which was brass now let me just shift-click it in there okay so there is I’m gonna need a mallet okay so there is our 36 local valence dust okay and then we have to make illumination

Powder which he is covalence das glass dust and Salus moon dust so I’m gonna have to make up a little bit more of a sale s Mundus which is fine I’m gonna need well to craft should do it which it looks like I am going to need some more

And we’re gonna take this stuff and break it down to get our glass dust okay so there’s two Salus Mundus which should be like I said it should be enough we should only need no an illumination powder for this okay so to make our a luminous crafting table we can do it

Here in the basic work table it’s gonna be six of any marble and then we’re gonna have to get some city marble which we can do with marble and low-grade charcoal and the alchemy or the arcane ashes alchemy alright so let me grab this oh I had to say let’s moon dust in

Here whoops well well we’ll need it I forgot I made extra when we made some earlier it’s been a little while actually so okay let’s grab ourselves just like six seven then we’re also going to need two thousand mana I’m gonna go ahead and just dump two buckets

Go through and place this in and then dot there we go we’re about to have some glowstone and actually since we’re crafting it this way might possibly we may not have to make any right now through the crucible but we’ll see all right so now we can take all of this

Stuff combine it together and there we go a quest completed quest completed bippity-boppity-boo and glowstone dust okay we’re actually completing a few quests I don’t think oh this one does have a reward we get an aquamarine and a level I’ll go ahead and take that stuff

Okay so let’s say it did count that it did count the glowstone awesome so I’m not gonna worry about making any of that right this second but I am gonna tuck this away safely and we’re not gonna we’re not gonna craft it like we just did ever again

We’re gonna make sure and save this I’m just gonna dump this into there for now okay now the other things that we need are gunpowder slime balls and ink sacs okay now some of the stuff if you met if you can craft it like in a crafting grid you can

Bypass the need to do it through the crucible but honestly the crucible stuffs not gonna be that bad so let me just grab some gunpowder now slime balls you know I haven’t actually came across any slimes but if we can find a sky island we could climb up to one of those

And then ink sacs ought to run out here and kill some squid that’s no biggie okay I got some ink sacs oh wow torches work underwater when you have immersive lighting I never knew that oh if we got a jellyfish like with a water trap we could do it that way yeah I

Think slum balls are gonna be our worst the worst thing for us let me pop over to here and we’ll go ahead and duplicate these things and I know it’s actually getting pretty close to wrapping up points so I might wrap up the episode here but we’ve
