SPOKANE, Wash. — Get your diamond pickaxe ready, because a new Minecraft exhibit is opening this Saturday, September 16, at Spokane’s Northwest Museum of Art and Culture (MAC).
Since its release in 2009, it’s become one of the most popular video games of all time.
The 6,000-square-foot exhibit features life-sized creatures and backdrops from the game.
The exhibit was originally created at the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle.
MAC Director Wesley Jessup experienced the exhibit himself in 2020.
“Minecraft is this extraordinary phenomena, and we have so many players in Spokane,” Jessup said. “This would be a wonderful thing for our region.”
You’ll have until December 31 to experience the exhibit for yourself.
