Insane BASE Upgrade in Minecraft! EP 5

Welcome back to our Minecraft survival world I’m glad you’re here if you’re new here this series is a little different from the others on YouTube instead of building pointless Mega builds and massive Redstone Farms we’re taking it slow and enjoying the journey and building a world that is full of life so

It I also finished up the pathing and added a couple of details like this wheelbarrow we have here and a crop field covering this area and some bushes and trees and a little Pond for the Sheep pen and this potato and carrot field that I’m growing behind the barn

Although it still needs a little bit of expanding I don’t want to do too much off camera building with you guys but I figured these were details that I might as well just get done so I can show them to you now oh man we really got to build

Some bridges across here I think we’ll get to that today actually but first I have a big surprise I got to share with you guys so uh I’ve been digging out a little bit of a basement under my basee Just for future expansion you know and I

Came across this Ravine now naturally I did a little bit of exploring and that led me all the way down a cave what the heck how did I miss that there’s a copper vein right here too anyway it led me all the way along this passage I wasn’t really concerned with the ores

Right now I was just exploring but it led me all the way to this look a skeleton spawner exactly what we need because I want bone meal so I think we’re going to turn this into a Farm by the way these chests had some good loot

Oh hey but um I I forgot to record the footage because I’m dumb and stupid so you’re just going to have to believe me on this we found a name tag so we can finally name horse horse so let’s do that let’s name horse horse and let’s

Get a farm going also yes I tunneled up to the top and you’ll never believe where this comes out going up the stairs okay here’s where the skeleton spawner is that’s where our house is so I think maybe we can even like connect these up somehow eventually we’ll have to figure

Out how to do that okay okay one name tag one name and one named horse you still hanging out with our buddy here by the way we have a name for you we’ll do that later in the episode keep an eye on him okay with that out of the way I grabbed

Some kelp from a nearby ocean and some Soul Sand from the Nether and then spent way too long trying to get this XP farm to work okay Let’s test this out I guess this torch needs to go oh it’s so dark you’re not going to be able to see

Anything but we should go up the bubble column up to the top and get dropped boom right here okay all we should need to do is knock these lights off and it should work fine that one there that one there and that one there and they’re already spawning in hitting

Me okay we’re safe though we’re safe now we just got to see if they make it through the system they should be coming through any minute now there he is is he one hit did I get the height right let’s go oh my gosh this only took me a bajillion years to make

Another day because we’ve got to move on to another project you might have guessed it we’re finally going to install that bridge and I’m going to try something I’ve never done before I’m going to try building on the diagonal so we’ll see how well this goes okay this

Farm path naturally curves to like right here so I think that’s where I’m going to put it so let’s start the bridge right here and now I got to fill all these in on the diagonals and there we go that’s done the bridge is done we’re

Doing no more work on it just kidding this is pretty ugly still so now we got to go up in the middle oh perfect and it’s going to rain on us while we do this okay then let’s go up again again after two blocks and I think these

Should actually come back further almost to the beginning of the bridge man it’s hard to run on diagonals okay so now we’re starting to get a tiny bit more of a bridge shape then we’ll come through with some half slabs and then we’ll add our Spruce planks and finish up with a

Little bit of detail and look at this we finally have a bridge worthy of horse horse all the way across our River I should just make sure these two paths link up now and there’s room to to sail under it with our boat wow for a diagonal build I’m

Actually super surprised with how well that turned out and man that view with the barn in the wheat Fields absolutely gorgeous now I’m in a bridge building mood so let’s build another one across to our mine over there I decided to build this one in the same style as our

Bridge to the farm except straight across this time a mix of spruce stone brick Cobble and andesite looks so good in my opinion okay we’ve got another Bridge down this one was a little bit easier I think just because it was straight and not diagonal but I like it

I can’t decide if it’s a little too skinny or not but that’s the cool thing about Minecraft if we don’t like it we can come back and change it I’m going to leave it for a little while and see how it grows on me our little world is really coming

Along okay now that we’ve gotten a couple things out of the way it’s time to start with the main project of this episode I said we were going to be expanding the base but I didn’t say what exactly so today I really want to make a

Workshop that we can use for all our tools and weapons eventually I want to make a kitchen too cuz I hate storing all of my food in the same place as like the rest of my blocks it doesn’t seem bright also we can knock off this that’s done

And that one this one is kind of half done we put an enchanting table up there but I don’t know I’ll keep that up for now someone said I should put some cobwebs in the Attic which I think would be a really cool idea okay in order to

Build this expansion we’re going to need a couple blocks you can probably guess where this is going because of my gold helmet we’re going to my favorite place and the entire world actually I guess it’s not in the entire world oh hey what are you doing down here hey you an egg

Community who can watch the world grow with me and you know have suggestions of what to do I just think that’s really fun and the other point is when you look at YouTube these days the current state of Minecraft YouTube is that you always have to be doing something bigger and

Better and you can hear in these YouTubers voices when they’re making these videos they hate the projects they’re working on or maybe not hate but they get so tired of them and burnt out and that’s not how most of us play Minecraft it’s really entertaining to watch but it’s so detrimental to your

Own inspiration when it comes to building things in your own worlds and so I wanted to be able to provide an experience to people where you can get inspiration for your own world without having to grind out massive 100 days projects or Mega builds that are just

Going to sit there at the end of the day and cause you to get burnt out out of Minecraft that’s not how we should be playing this game I have a lot more thoughts on that that I might save for a later video I have planned but that’s

One Compares efficiency 4 is crazy before I knew it I had several stacks of dark oak and a couple of stacks of regular oak wood ready for building behold all my materials okay let’s get to building I want to build the skybridge with you guys first and

Then I’ll start building a little bit of the actual Workshop the skybridge is going to extend overhead just like this with a floor at the same level just like that let’s test how sturdy it is with the nap let’s bring all these columns up to three then let’s come

Across like this and let’s take out some of our roof blocks maybe one bump right here okay there’s the roof and now we have easy access to it from up here I guess let’s make a bunch more dark oak trap doors and I wonder what it would

Look like to kind of have the same straps that we did on the other roof maybe let’s do half slabs down the middle oops you are not a half slab let’s add these like Archway components maybe something like that okay I don’t mind that I think to mix in a little bit

Of color let’s use Spruce trap doors as the guard rails then what if in here we just install the same kind of strap supports oops not that trap door that doesn’t look too bad yeah I really don’t mind that now we have a skybridge going to absolutely nowhere so let’s fix That and there we go look at that oh I just love how it looks attached to the side of our starter base area it just feels so seamless coming across the sky Bridge here into this area we’ve got plenty of space in here for a workshop so let’s

More we got this holy crap why were the three creepers just chilling in my freaking basement okay sorry for all the excitement I decorated a little bit I was going to do it on camera with you guys but I just kind of got into the Rhythm it was really hard to keep up

With recording all the changes that I was making so voila this is our Workshop let me take you on a little tour of course you come across from the sky Bridge you’ve got my main work table here I’ve just got some tools and stuff that I’m working on right now I guess

You could say I guess I’m a little messy I added some papers just kind of scattered around maybe they’re blueprints for tools or builds and here’s our big workbench I moved it from the other room and expanded a little bit so there’s room for an armor stand what

Do you why did I say it like that an armor stand room for an armor stand with our gold helmet for when we go to the Nether and then of course there’s some shelves with some random things on them some storage for tools and armor and that kind of thing and then there’s

Another room for storage here and I think I might build a staircase off the side here but I’m not entirely sure oh also we got my Anvil and my stone cutter on this side and of course our little balcony I’m super happy with how this turned out I love the like Raptor beams

Coming overhead I just wanted the space to be look kind of like cluttered and messy and like we get work done in here you know so this can be where I come to create all of our tools and all of our armor and craft up materials when we’re

Going to do other builds so yeah let me know what you guys think or if you have any other suggestions of things we should add right now it’s time to craft our first ever thing in the new workshop note blocks can you guess what

More fun to interact with and this one was a rousing success all right we can officially knock something else off the project board this wasn’t even on here for one episode we can actually replace it with another goal that we can also take off this episode I think think

Apparently most people just say it Axel anyway yes come here the name of this Axel ashot however you want to say it is Gil you stay out of trouble now Gil I’ll be watching you okay oh my gosh my head’s stuck in the beam that’s what I get for sleeping on

This skybridge I guess by the way I think the kitchen’s going to go out on this side I’m still deciding but I really want to work on that soon okay let’s go out our front door and knock that off two goals done in one episode let’s go hey what are you doing

Maybe a tower right here that will be a kitchen maybe off this side and then more things off this side I just want this to be like a huge sprawling complex of cool buildings anyway I said there was one more thing I wanted to try I finally figured out how to install

Shaders with my current setup and I really want to see what our house looks like with them so without further Ado here we are wao oh my gosh that looks gorgeous horse horse are you seeing this oh man wow I should use shaders more the way everything just looks so warm and
