Welcome back to the second of three mushroom tutorial videos. Today we’re going to make the mushroom you see behind me, the Wizard’s Cap Mushroom. This mushroom uses the moss block, warped wart, sea lanterns, warped wood, glowberries, and copper slabs that have fully oxidized, The stem is made from calcite. As always these are the colours I have chosen to show off the new blocks in 1.17, you can always change them to be the colours you prefer :). Let’s get to it. Starting at the bottom, we place 4 blocks in a square. On top place 3 blocks leaving a corner open . On top of the 3 blocks make a T- shape, go up one and add 4 more blocks in a square pattern Follow that with another 3, then a square on it’s side add on on the top like a ‘Thumbs Up’ To the side place two blocks out from the square Like a staircase, add a third block add another 3 on top of that and start adding our moss blocks the first row is 5 blocks, followed by two, lined up with the stem The first row is 5 blocks, followed by two. On top it’s 6 blocks and then another 6 blocks in a row. My son helps me with these tutorials and often walks me through the build. Thanks to Demonwalker909, for his help So, we’re at two rows of six and one row of five A row of three topped with a row of five and three more for the basic shape up front At the back, we’re using wool blocks. these will be replaced with warped wart blocks later in the build. Now we start placing our warped stem and sea lanterns as we build up the mushroom We fill in the gaps with moss blocks and warped stems with solid face out Now we start placing the copper side slabs. These slabs accent the cap Adding these blocks early can help guide your build Back to the top and we start adding more blocks Back to the top and we start adding more blocks. Different colour blocks can add interest to your build Now we start replacing our wool with warped wart blocks The copper can be replaced with any slab. The copper can be replaced with any material, but slabs are preferred. Be sure to match colours to your preference. Errors can be fixed at any time. The earlier the better on larger, more complicated builds We’re trying to keep blocks close together Getting close to the top As you can see I’m taking my time since this mushroom can be a bit tricky to work with. If you have to feel free to slow down the video and make sure you have them placed where you want them. We are now going to put the the pointy part on the wizard’s cap.
