EPIC Minecraft 9: Veterans Day Edition

What’s going on guys brandon alchemy here and uh welcome back to another episode of minecraft uh as you can see over there uh we got some things that have changed a little bit and i took out the bookshelves in here because uh i’ve been working on

Something over there and you may be able to tell from this stuff it’s all enchanted and uh i’ve been uh bringing these cows a little bit and killing them getting books and whatnot and uh okay i’ve i’ve done quite a bit of stuff off camera and uh i am prepared to show

You uh we just need to let’s see okay i did take out my diamonds here and uh before we do that yeah let’s go over here first um so we’re gonna head out here and uh i’m i’m i’m i’m excited because i finally got what i’ve wanted for quite some time and uh

Uh yeah yeah i’ll show you guys as soon as we get over here so right here i decided i was gonna start a mine shaft thing so i started digging down here and uh i found a little cave right here uh didn’t really go anywhere though uh so i kept going down

And uh the further down i got i got i got down to right where i needed to be which i think is 11. and yeah i started hearing spiders okay and the spiders i found out we’re coming from that okay so i went ahead and did a mob spawner here or

Farm thing uh basically the same exact thing uh the zombie farm and uh which i you know i i think i did that on camera for you guys at least most of it as you can see they spawn up there swim down here get caught in here and uh gotta release that

Uh they swim in there and then you can pull that to stop anymore from coming and then you just push that button it squishes them just like the zombie farm did yeah right down to one hit kill uh this one’s actually better than the other one and then you collect the

Experience you can hop down here and collect the string uh so yeah so we can flip that and let more come uh so i’ve been doing that and i moved the enchantment table right here and i’ve been doing enchants and this is what i was looking for so i could start the episode

Was this not exactly what i was looking for i was looking for a fortune three but a fortune is awesome if you didn’t know breaking anything like coal or diamond or emerald or uh redstone lapis anything like that you’ll get more than what you normally would with breaking it from a regular

Axe or pickaxe uh so yeah that’s what i’ve been looking for so i could stock up on diamonds and uh yeah i got 22 diamonds now plus all these tools and what i want to do is combine these or these and i’ll get efficiency five on breaking three which will be really awesome

And uh to do that i need 26 levels and then we can name it or no it costs i think 19 to put them together and then it’s 26 if i want to name it so yeah uh and if you didn’t know naming stuff and then repairing it if it’s named it

Is cheaper xp wise than it is normally so yeah it’s it’s better to name it or it’s more efficient i guess as you can see here they get stuck sometimes like that or the first one gets stuck once he crawls up uh it’ll flow smoothly uh usually you

Can just stand around look at him hop on this do something and he’ll climb up and then they’ll go uh so yeah that’s what that does i got all kinds of stuff in here kind of this is the drops that i’ve gotten from the mob spawner which is ridiculous uh

So yeah i don’t think i’m gonna need spring for any uh time uh so what i want to do this episode is uh uh well mainly show you this and uh today is veterans day and i kind of like took the day off so to speak from recording i was calling everybody

That was in the military and thanking them and everything and if you didn’t know in the us uh veterans day is kind of a big deal um not as big as a deal as i think it should be but it is uh where you think the military people that have supported it

And everything uh so yeah i called my grandpa and my friends that are in and everything like that so yeah today i want to uh build a flag on top of the uh match bunny thing up there and uh so yeah uh the string will come in handy so

I’m just gonna throw this cobble in here and uh if you didn’t know string um what does string do you can make string into uh a wall by simply doing this i believe it’s four not nine yes like so uh so yeah this string is definitely gonna come in handy i don’t

Know how much string i need or wool i guess i should say so yeah i’m going to sit here and farm a little bit and collect as much string as i can and also try and get that 26 levels so we can uh combine these and get efficiency five

Uh efficiency five is the best or the highest efficiency pick you can get um so yeah i’m gonna take a little break here and uh collect some wall and uh collect xp and everything and i’ll be back with you guys in just a bit all right guys i got enough to

Uh bring them together but uh uh it changed the different cost and everything and i don’t know what to name it anyway so we’re just gonna do this if you guys have suggestions what i should name it leave them in the comments uh so there we have efficiency five unbreaking three

And there we have it we now have an efficiency five pick uh we’re going to keep that right in yeah and uh let’s that’s fortune we don’t want that to use uh okay i guess we’ll take it uh so yeah i’ve been collecting these rose bushes and everything to get

The wall we have enough wall i just need to change these colors real quick uh so let’s leave let’s do that much uh let’s see how many do we need here let’s see uh 60 45 divided by two 100 so we need about 50. uh we can run with that for now

Um oh wow that’s exactly okay uh so now we’re going to head up there i think i need to make some fences and we have a couple there and uh let’s see where’s our wood at what’s that pick i’m breaking three yep we’re going to use this one instead don’t want

To waste that that’s a good work peg that’s a fantastic word pick actually uh here’s some wood take this uh break all that and do like so and like so okay now offenses are like this yes okay so how high is let’s see here i have it written on a

Piece of paper all the different mathematics involved with this um let’s see uh nine so probably do about 20 yeah that so that should be good now let’s let’s do a little more just in case okay yeah that should definitely be good okay now we need to head up here

Did i close that off yes i did okay we should have enough um to do this so yeah uh this should be fun this should be fun uh yeah today is uh veterans day for the us i found out today is i guess it’s called remembrance day in canada

Uh so yeah basically the same thing essentially not exactly but basically um i don’t know if it is in other parts of the world or not um you can let me know if it is is this the center this is the center this right here is the center okay

So right here we need to place our fence so right there is the center okay so we need to go up quite a bit uh do i have any okay we have cobble we can use cabo instead we got a lot of that okay okay so hop up can i hop on this

And hop up and place them i don’t know let’s see if i can yes i can holy crap what the end okay i don’t know what happened there um so we had 64 cobbles so we can tell how many we’ve placed with that so we’re up 10. that’s high enough for the flag

But we need it to be a little bit higher so like so how high are we now uh we’re up a little higher a couple more so let’s go up um i don’t i don’t even know how high we should go um i want to do some fireworks too

Um i don’t think i’ve actually ever made fireworks in the game uh in survival at least um before so is this high enough yeah that should be good right that’s about 20 24 ish yeah okay so we’re gonna make it face am i gonna fall off if i go over no okay okay

So what we need we need let’s look here to go over six blue on the top or the first layer so let’s go one two three four five six okay and then we need to go over nine red one two three four five six seven eight nine okay that’s the first layer done

Or whatever i holy crap almost fell off almost had a heart attack okay so we need to break these a little bit and come down uh let’s go down one more and work our way over like so here we go i just spilled out a little ways so we

Don’t have to keep doing that too much okay second row we have let’s see we got a blue and i believe we have a white a blue blue white blue uh white maybe i think blue oh this is solid here that’s solid that’s a white and we’re down one two three

Uh so that should be good there okay yeah next we have one two that goes all the way across and so does that okay uh yes let’s keep building our way over here uh so yeah i have a couple friends that are going into the military and two

That are currently in all right oh well i missed that by a lot and two that are currently in right now and uh so yeah i’m i’m very proud of them so that’s why i’m making this flag here even though they’ll probably never see this video uh but yeah it’s it’s basically

Show your patriotism day and it’s getting dark so oh we should probably put torches up there uh because yeah i don’t want nothing spawning uh so let’s put a torch here and yeah just so nothing spawns down here while we’re climbing up i don’t even know if they would but

Better safe than sorry i guess so yeah now let’s put it here here and here uh that’s that’s totally even uh yes okay i’m getting a little bit of frame rate dropping uh but that should be okay uh so now we need to go down a couple more layers one two three four

Should that be good yeah that should that should that should be good i think and go out yes okay and we can build this along here uh kind of mumbling a little bit but uh that should be fine okay let’s place a torch here and we can break down this cobble

Oh we don’t have the efficiency pick on us it’s going to say we could use that now that would come in handy but uh yeah too late okay okay and come out here a little more break them break them break them break them okay

Okay here we go how far do we need to go for the flag uh we’re good for the flag can we reach all the way out there one two three ah nope gotta go out a couple more one two okay that should be good now yes okay now okay this is stressful um

Here we have one and here we have one and these are blue blue blue and i believe this is all blue okay yes i know that is not a perfect 50 states uh but it works it works perfectly fine okay so now we need to go white all the way across like this

Um in order to get a full 50 stars on the flag uh we’d have to do a pretty big flag and uh maybe sometime we’ll do that but right now i don’t i do not have the resources for that so that’ll have to wait uh okay how far have we gone that is

One two three four five six we’ve gone down six seven eight and nine okay that’s as far as we go for them uh so there we go oh come on pop it there we go and we can move this all the way across okay okay um so we need a little more red

Good thing i brought the rose bushes uh need more than that one two three four five six that should be good oh i don’t wanna over guess it um so yeah we’re gonna do it like this until we know for sure how much we need i don’t know

How much we need for this or not i i think we do have enough so we need let’s see one two three four five so we need five one two three four five okay yeah we we should we should have just about enough uh just about the perfect amount actually

Three four five six seven eight nine 10 11 12 13 14. okay yep five to spare so there we go got our flag up here and uh it’s not the most beautiful looking uh re-remade flag in minecraft but um it’s it’s it works it works so we need just need to break this

Cobble and we can go down and take a look what it looks like from the bottom hopefully it’s high enough up that we can actually see otherwise i’ll have to go up a couple more and have to redo the whole thing basically so yeah break these two

And now we can just fall down here okay so i need to figure out how to make some uh fireworks because i do not know how to make them actually um i hope i think it takes gunpowder i’d imagine it would take gunpowder otherwise that’s kind of weird if it

Didn’t uh so yeah yeah that looks nice uh let’s see what it looks like from the bottom though if we come off here yes we did okay so amanda break down yeah um so yeah yeah i really don’t know how to make gunpowder in minecraft or not gunpowder

Uh fireworks i don’t i don’t think most people know um it’s not a very commonly used thing um i believe it’s fairly expensive i know oh there’s some good water right there throw that in there okay i know uh it takes i know some fireworks take diamonds so uh and

Yeah i i don’t know what else but yeah let’s take a look out here and see what it looks like i should probably get our sword on the bar don’t want anything happening okay okay i’m excited to see what it looks like it probably looks like the derpiest thing i’ve ever made

But uh we can take oh my word my heart just skipped a beat die don’t don’t blow up okay and he didn’t drop gunpowder man scared the crap out of me yeah that looks good uh kinda i wish i could fit more stars on that thing because that looks like that

Uh but we get the idea and uh so yeah uh let let’s hmm what do we got we got some dirt let’s pillar up and see from a different angle i suppose do a zesto and uh let’s see uh let let’s take a a little picture here let’s do uh

There we go that’s probably the thumbnail for this uh but yeah um unless we can get a good firework one um if i can figure out how to do fireworks and if we have enough uh so yeah i’m gonna look up how to do them fireworks and i’ll be right back with

You guys in just a second okay guys i think i have it set up right this is test one just to see uh i do have a backup just in case so we’re just gonna do this i have it set on a delay so we should get some out of this okay

There it goes yes there we go they’re not too big but yes there we go there we go awesome that took a long time to set up um yeah i turned it to peaceful so that uh we could actually get through this maybe there’s still more no that was all okay so yeah
