Minecraft Dungeons II launches in one week, and Mojang is not waiting to start the hype. As of September 21, anyone can earn the Corrupted Creeper Cape for free simply by watching Minecraft content on Twitch or TikTok. The requirements are deliberately low: 15 minutes on any Twitch Partner or Affiliate streaming in the Minecraft category, or 3 minutes on a Game Reward enabled TikTok Minecraft stream.
Once you complete the watch time, the cape becomes redeemable in Dungeons II after its September 29 launch. This is part of a broader set of crossover rewards. The Hero Cape requires owning and playing the original Minecraft Dungeons before logging into the sequel. The Twisted Cape is a pre-order bonus that also carries over to Java and Bedrock if you use the same Microsoft account.
How to claim the Corrupted Creeper Cape
- Watch at least 15 minutes of a qualifying Twitch Minecraft stream between September 21 and September 26.
- Alternatively, watch 3 minutes of Minecraft content on a TikTok stream with Game Rewards enabled during the same window.
- Complete the WatchTime Quest in your Twitch or TikTok inventory.
- Redeem the cape in Minecraft Dungeons II after the September 29 launch.

After years of peace in the Overworld, Illagers discover a portal to a soul-powered dimension called the Sift and immediately weaponize it. Not every cape crosses over. The Soul Cape is Deluxe Edition only and stays in Dungeons II. The Corrupted Creeper Cape appears to be Dungeons II specific as well, though Mojang has been generous with crossover rewards in the past. If you already own the first game or plan to pre-order, the Hero and Twisted capes give you the clearest path to new cosmetics in your main Minecraft world.
