One of Minecraft's most influential early SMP creators now faces serious criminal charges as former members issue statements, unlist videos, and leave the group amid widespread community shock.

The veteran Minecraft creator known as Guude is at the center of a rapidly unfolding scandal that has hit the old guard of the community hard. According to public arrest records and a detailed breakdown on Reddit, he faces ten counts under North Carolina law for offenses involving visual representations of minors engaged in sexual activity, including recording, distribution, and related acts.
Mindcrack Issues Official Statement
On May 7 the official Mindcrack account posted a statement confirming awareness of the situation and emphasizing that Guude is no longer affiliated with the group. The post, which gained over a million views quickly, included an image outlining their position on the allegations.
The Minecraft community and the Mindcrack group in particular have been made aware of the arrest of Jason Korpulinski (Guude). He is no longer a member of Mindcrack and we do not support or condone his actions.
Reactions poured in immediately. AntVenom posted a simple “god fucking damn it man.” Multiple current and former members including ElRichMC, ElyBeatmaker, Thisislexy, AdieCraft, and Silentwhisperer announced they were stepping away from Mindcrack content, unlisting videos featuring Guude, or removing related remixes. Milbee posted a lengthy thread expressing being stunned, while SuperMCGamer began unlisting old collaborations.
- Arrest took place on May 6 according to Harnett County records
- Charges stem from material allegedly involving minors in sexual activity
- Warrant details reference files from summer 2025 with disturbing descriptions
- Former members from the 2010-2015 era have publicly reacted with disappointment and withdrawal
- The group that once featured Ethoslab, VintageBeef, Bdubs and others is now in active damage control
Mindcrack began as a single player world before expanding into one of the first major collaborative Minecraft series that influenced everything from Hermitcraft to countless modern SMPs. Its transition to an LLC in 2015 caused some original members to leave, but Guude revived it in recent years under Mindcrack Rebirth. That history is now being reexamined in real time as creators decide what to do with years of archived content.
The Blunt Reality
The Minecraft creator space keeps cycling through these stories. When someone central to the early collaborative scene gets arrested on exploitation charges, it forces long-time viewers to question the entire era they grew up watching. Several replies on the announcement bluntly asked how hard it is for people in these circles to simply not prey on minors. The evidence so far is the arrest itself, the charging documents, and the immediate wave of distancing from people who collaborated with him for over a decade.
This is not vague online drama. It is a law enforcement matter with public records. The community response shows real stakes: lost trust, deleted archives, and an old pillar of the multiplayer scene collapsing overnight.
