Minecraft Hardcore Let’s Play : DIAMOND MINE Entrance! Episode 6

Everybody said off of the names that we have for food for animals over there we also need to give them some great food names as well so i’m thinking we have nacho in quesadilla hi guys how you doing love it welcome welcome to the farm everybody i’ve already done a lot of

Work today don’t worry i already gathered up the wheat field i’m way ahead of things here and we’ve got to breed up the animals right now so we can get some experience rocking from doing all of the animal breathing and as many of you mentioned yeah i had

Lots and lots of seeds on me last time and i put them in the chest it’s fine but we can use them here to breed the chickens it’s sad that this is my current source of being an experienced farm but it’s okay it’s fine we’ll be okay

Next up we’ve got all of the escaping sheep over here which seems to be pretty good and i might need to actually go grab some more wheat so that we can also breed up the cows because i really want to get a lot more of them rocking do i have any in here

We’ve got some seeds not really anything in the wheat department though but let’s use some potatoes which i believe yes we can use them to read pigs i thought it was only carrots up to level 29 though which is very good and we’ll just use the rest of this

Wheat that we have no creepers in here i stayed awake during a night once while i was trying to afk and get some things growing in the area and now i’m very paranoid that there’s still some mobs around here somewhere but the plan for today as we’re doing a

Lot of animal breeding here is i want to try and get some more enchanting rocking i’m just trying to get little bits of experience any way that i possibly can but also on top of that is i want to build an actual mine entrance right now we don’t really have one the mine

Entrance that we have well it’s in the middle of our farmland pathway through the animal pens right down here i hate this this is a big big bummer for me so it goes all the way down like that and i want to get a quicker drop shoot

Or maybe a tunnel with some stairs on it or something to get us all the way down to the y level 12 areas which would be great but right now we can’t really do that so which brings me to the first project for today is i wanted to bring a pathway

Through this area over here right about to this point where we can create a bridge going right across here and then i was thinking a perfect place for the mine entrance since we already have a little bit of a hill right here is carve that back over there and put

The mine entrance right in there inside of the hill getting a few more spruce slabs here so we can create actually a little bit better of a bridge for ourselves and i know we’re right at the curve here which could look nice but i’m thinking we can maybe

Bring ourselves back just a touch in this direction because i would love to have a straight bridge here because otherwise we just have to deal with a lot of different stuff going on so if we do slab or trapdoors right there then we bring some slabs in

And then i believe we’re gonna need to do some extra slab action right up in here slab and then we could do the trap door this is just meant to be something very very simple for us i don’t want to go too insane with it literally just something to get us

Across this water because wow it’s slow moving through it now from here however it is a bit boring we don’t want to have this and we want to have some way to support it so i figured we could have some strip spruce logs coming up right here on both different sides of this

We’ll mess up the water weight as we need to later on but for now i think this will be a-okay from there i was thinking we could bring in a few oak trap doors and just throw these along the sides and do something right like this

Honestly this could be our final copy of the bridge if we wanted it to but i feel like bringing in a little bit of gray of a stone slab topper of some sorts on top of these guys could be really cool so maybe we can try some polished andesite with

That i’m gonna go grab some real fast since we are going to the mining area i thought it could be okay to add a little bit more stone infrastructure maybe we need to get some small carts across this area and it can just help add some more

Variation to this whole thing i also brought in a few lanterns for us so we can get some fancy schmancy light sources after we get some of our pathway blocks inside of here we’ll fill this area in eventually so i’m just gonna leave it as a blank one for now and then probably

Opening up the river a little bit further around here so it actually flows underneath all this stuff since i’ve got four extra trapdoors on me i think i’m just gonna throw them down here in the water so it helps to hide a little bit more of the stuff and can add some extra

Character to the bridge too i think yeah i don’t hate that that’s really really nice it’s a such a simple one but i think it’s gonna work out really well of course adding some lanterns in right around there and then we can do the same with a

Little bit of a post action right about at this point and that should just about do it for the bridge there i think that’d be a very good start for ourselves and then we can keep the pathway going all the way over here and where do we want it to end

I want to build a large like vault door almost heading into the side and i feel like this little bit of the lower down grass area in here is almost calling to me of saying we gotta do it right here but of course first off the sun is

Setting so we’ve gotta sleep and spam into this bed for a bit no mobs are allowed to spawn inside this world carving a six wide area straight back into the mountain now we can do a little bit of terraforming action on the top with all the dirt we’re getting out of this

Because we’re going to need to excavate a large area i want to make it feel like we have a door on the front section here which i’ve got an idea of what i want to try and make it look a little bit more interesting and still keeping it on the safer side

Again sheep are escaping i do not know how any of that is happening i’m gonna have to stare at them for a while and figure that one out but for now i’ve got a large area cleared out over here for us and i grabbed some acacia

Logs because i want to use the gray of the acacia log since we use the stripped acacia over there in the wizard tower i thought we could get away with doing that something like that in here too but i wanted to actually expand this one more to the side because then we get

An odd width now out from the front side you can kind of see the slope that i want to be going with here and i think eventually i will actually expand and give ourselves a little bit more space for the doorway itself so if we take a line right back

Over here we’ve got a lot of space to work with what i’m going to do is take all this stone that we have turn that into some stone brick and then back into about this point right here we can do that and then there that gives us a five wide center to it

And i wanted to start by creating a little bit of a cross beam so we did this and then i can get some of these stairs out here maybe i think we’re gonna raise it up one more tall i know we’re gonna do a lot of terraforming up there and really

Bouncing up the train a bit but i think it’s gonna look a lot better i’m trying to go with a grand mine entrance feel to this one if it’s not super huge that’s okay but i still want it to feel grand from when you’re actually walking into the area how i

Placed that fence i don’t really know so we take something right like in there and maybe actually incorporate the stone brick into these full corners up here and then that section that i literally just expanded to what if we bring in some strip spruce logs all the way up to that same height

Going the same type of roof shape that we’ve done so far with having the doubles thick on the slabs i think we can get away with this really well just like that in there we get a bunch of the stone brick showing at the top which helps it feel more reinforced and

Then we get this very cool bit of this really overarching roof in here and then that’s why i wanted to start incorporating the stripped acacia was coming all the way back throughout here so we could actually have a door to this one but i think what we’re going to do

For the doorways is we’re actually going to do them on the far corners that right there is actually not looking half bad i think we can spruce it up a little bit more and add some extra life into this guy maybe by literally adding in some trapdoors of uh the yolk

Kind huh not spruce something more along those lines is starting to get the field that i want to go for we’ve got one lantern right now we can add him on there then we could do another lantern sitting on top of that guy and that’ll help out then of course down

Here i’m thinking we could use the probably better to use a shovel to actually break some things a little bit of the endocyte and cobble action down here we can use to actually fill in a little bit of a section to walk up into this thing i think it’ll look a lot

Better just having that extra variety into the roadway so we had an easy way to view in and out was i was thinking we just throw a window right in the center i know it’s a bit weird looking with how much else we really have going on in this area

Having door door and then a window in the right middle of it but i think overall for functionality wise probably going to make us feel a lot safer on the inside because the worst thing to happen is the sun sets as we’re walking out of the mine and a creeper just goes

Right down here and explodes on us so that wouldn’t be too great but one thing i wanted to mention here that a lot of people let me know in the comments was if we actually take our stone over here and turn it directly into stone slabs

Stacking it up like that looks like a stone block right but if you break it you get the two slobs back so if you don’t have silk touch quite yet and you want to build some things out of stone this could actually be a great way to get some super cheap stone resources

Because all you got to do is do this right along here and it blends in perfectly last tweak that i want to make was removing this fence up here and actually throwing a fence gate in instead of it because i think that could look a little bit smoother throughout

This area nothing behind us over here and that is actually looking like a really sweet mine entrance the inside we’ve got to clean it up as well because um not not the best not the best what i was thinking we could do in here is starting out with these little side

Bits we probably need to hide those all the way back in so it feels like that’s a full wall we’ll hide it up here eventually as we’re going but maybe we could just use this as a bottom trim going all the way around here where inside of the center i wanted to

Add two drop shoots for us one will be going down and the other will i guess be the reverse of a drop shoot and it will be coming upwards once we eventually have the water elevators for us for now it’s probably just going to be some

Ladders or we’ll figure it out as we go but that would be something going down right all the way here to y level 12 and then this would be the one that’s going to be coming right back up with us i think what i’m going to do so we’re not digging exactly straight

Down is take that entire three wide pillar all the way down now since we have the decorative front side with the acacia logs then we got them as a bottom trim right around here i was thinking we could bring some stone brick going in all the way around this point and then

We could just fill in some of the cobblestone on top and below that because i don’t think i have enough stone slabs to do it so i think cobblestone might be our best bet here it feels like i’m building a layered cake in here not the biggest fan of that

One i think i’m just gonna go ahead and get rid of the stone brick then what we can do instead of making it look like a cake is we could come up to the top here and start incorporating some of the slabs that we’ve been getting

I think if we literally just take this across with the easiest most simple of slopes possible right inside of here and hang some lanterns down in the middle that’ll be much better okay one more slab it takes i will find a way to use these extra slabs in here somewhere i’ve got one

Left and what am i doing with it i don’t really know it is now a table between two barrels yes perfect and then we can have the third barrel right over there look at me being so smart we’ve got a little bit of storage in here we can eventually add some more barrels

Along the edges as we need but for now it’s about time that we dig all the way down so what why level are we at now we’re at 66 and getting down to 12 doing some quick math in the head that is 54 different ladders if we’re going straight down

Hopefully we don’t hit a ravine 54 ladders acquired and let’s get a move on so if that’s the one dropping down this will be the one coming back up and we can use that to catch ourselves right there perfect and now i just got to do this all the way down

Nothing too eventful coming down here and i believe we’re now at y level 12 and that is a very big pillar for us what we got to do in here is now clear out a little bit of space found some bonus redstone at the bottom which is pretty cool eventually we’re

Gonna have to take cobblestone going up that entire central pillar there but i believe we can just put a water bucket here and that’ll keep us alive and then we just land in the water bucket we walk forward and jump out this way so we’re gonna fall in going here so

There’s no way for us to catch so if we hold w against the wall we won’t hit anything right that’s good right right i hope i guess there’s only one way to find out so let’s go all the way back into the tub breaking the torches along this way here

And wow did i oh i did that apparently first there’s iron in the wall would have been pretty bummed if i later found out i passed by almost 20 iron sitting down there so that’s a good thing that we stopped for but now we are very very high

Up falling down that side is death flowing down to that side hopefully becomes life and there we go the ladder will be the way up i guess we could use this up and down for now but let’s make sure this keeps us alive and it worked that’s good okay still terrifying to do

Was not so fun as i went to go grab some more things and it turned to nighttime over the course of us digging that hole and now there’s a bunch of creepers up here i’ve got to say i’m absolutely loving this thing so far and i think the next

Thing we can do here is adding a few leaves up top before we dive back down and make the bottom area look a little bit nicer than it is right now because there’s a lot i want to do down there i usually just kind of ignore the

Bottom side and today i’m like you know what no i’ve never done it before let’s let’s figure out how we can detail that and turn it into really cool like mine entrance all the time my strip mines just turn into how much of a mess can i possibly

Make the underside of my minecraft world and this time no we’re gonna we’re gonna try and make it look nice but even just three quarters of a stack of leaves here on the front help this area so very much i can’t wait to get out here and do some more farmland work

We’re going to have some fields literally coming to the very edge of this point i’m thinking we’re going to do a potato field in here later today so obviously there’s only so much you can really do to a strip mine because you want to go about every two or three

Blocks you have a tunnel that you go up that way you go off that one we keep this thing going down here so instead of making everything look pretty we’re just gonna give it a nice face so when you’re down here in the cave it’s gonna look nice

From this side and then as soon as you go down one of those tunnels it’s like yeah yeah it’s just it’s just a minecraft strip mine so i’m very much going for upgraded minecraft cave vibes over here or upgraded mine shaft i guess we could go

For so i was thinking around the front of this thing we can at least pillar up these all the way up to there and then grabbing in a few of our spruce stairs bringing those guys right about in there and then at this outside ones i think we could bring that

In all the way up here and then the inside we can just add in some cobblestone now it’s gonna bring us out to the rest of the area we want to detail our diamond pickaxe is almost dead so i am going to have to be careful

Here but i was thinking we could have a five wide walkway in the middle which we can probably just do some gravel cobblestone and the mix here and the bottom make it look like people are walking on it but then outside of that we gotta start coming up with something

That we can easily tile so we can get a lot of different areas out here for us to work on i wanted to use largely cobblestone for these background sections so maybe the floor we do something different with we could use some dirt or something down

There too and help bring a little bit more of that brown because we do the cobblestone as the walls and we also do the cobblestone ceiling it really shows that we’ve been breaking up that rock quite a lot and then i was thinking from here i added this little lantern guy in

Duplicated it over to the far side and then i was thinking across this top beam which i don’t actually have any slabs right now that doesn’t look half bad up there and then what we can do at this top point which is really going to be killing my pickaxe

We can use a really blocky ceiling of just filling in again with uh some more cobblestone but i think something like that could be pretty good and maybe that guy up there we mix it up with some andesite and things and then maybe we actually take some of

These guys right back in here too if we could bring in a trapdoor right there in the center and then maybe yeah let’s use smoke because then we can vary up having too much spruce in here really showing like we’re trying to hold up that ceiling a little bit better and

I like that i think that works out pretty well for us i really should not be using the last shreds of this diamond pickaxe here to be filling in a floor with dirt instead of it being full of stone because that does not matter at all

What i should really be trying to do is save that 54 durability so we can go find some more diamonds but more importantly we are level 31 so let’s go do some enchants and use another durability right there perfect i am seeing quite a lot of mobs out there huh

Maybe uh maybe we make a run for it or maybe we just let them burn for a moment both sounds good let’s shut the door shut the door shut the door things are hitting me things are hitting me thank god it was only a baby zombie it’s not good

Not good at least it wasn’t a creeper holy cow he was right on top of me hold the bridge hold the bridge and we got the baby zombie baby zombie is taken care of okay that’s good the children in this game are so terrifying let’s hope we can roll some

Fortune i know there are some diamonds down in that old strip mine waiting to be harvested when we have fortune three we’re seeing efficiency four again what do we got oh efficiency for unbreaking three though that’s pretty good what would the next diamond one be it’s gonna be

More on the efficiency sides it looks like i’m keeping that for sure but i think we could reroll this one again and see if we could maybe get back up to level 30 it might be a little tight i don’t think we get two levels out of this but we’ll

Go ahead and get that guy unenchanted and not even close to a level okay never mind that plane switching gears here a touch i figured before we dive down into the mines and do some strip mine in action and see if we can’t find some more diamonds with our new super pickaxe

That we got rocking over here it was time to get some fields figured out and on top of that i still haven’t done the pathway so first up we need to do this one i love the idea of not having the path going the quickest way possible because it has to divert around

Some farmland wherever there’s good soil there will be crops uh planted so i’m thinking we can bring it all the way over here and then kind of sharply curve it up in there so if i wire this out being two blocks wide or whatever we call that uh that should be

Doing pretty good for us i need to go get a little bit of dirt so i can fill that guy in but the plan from here is we’re gonna be doing a potato field as i believe i mentioned i want to make it look like it’s flowing

All the way up the hill probably starting off at about this layer no creepers up here still worried since we just got through that night where there’s a bunch of mobs out there i haven’t moved around too much so i’m worried that they have an ld spawn now

You all know the drill and how we’re doing this one right here just placing as many hidden water sources as we possibly can then coming back in and just hoeing as much of the land as we can around that place should be working out pretty good

Very glad i started this one before we dove back down into the mines because holy cow it’s taking a good while to get this thing planted here and we’re gonna need a lot more potatoes than i currently have so oh it’s good to get these down and actually have them start growing

You know a little bit of multitasking here never hurt anybody and both of the hoes i brought with me are now broken here too and i’ve got 14 potatoes left okay i think i think it’s time that we can jump down into the mines and see what we can find down there

Because i want to finish this going all the way pretty much along the end of the pathway and up i think would be absolutely awesome to have this guy’s almost broken which is unfortunate but we’ve got torches i need to go make some more torches and then we’ll head down

Oh they’re here i’m just gonna ignore them if we’re quick they won’t notice us three stacks of torches and some change and then we got 60 stake here as well and i’m bringing some extra sticks in case we really want to go for a good ways i’m

Planning on doing a big old mining session here let’s get a bucket of water and head on down down down down we go hopefully won’t don’t die nice perfect okay here we are i kind of started these off just a little bit each way i think our old mines were off in that

Direction so i think we head out here what i’m gonna do first to save ourselves the inventory slot is throw that guy in the ground and eventually i want to bring some barrels and things down here we’ll get those set up eventually so we can have some storage in this place

But for now let’s just get rid of the crafting stations on us off to a good start some iron of course running into some early gravel over here gonna use the torch to get us through so i could save the shovel oh we found some diamonds and i

Accidentally just broke one okay well i guess we got a new diamond ass i’m just gonna take these with us because we’re almost level 30 and we actually need some more diamonds to make another pickaxe but that’s pretty cool we have only went that far and we’ve already found six diamonds for ourselves

I like that i like that change i know it’s gonna be kind of a pain in the butt but now that we are level 30 i think our best bet is actually running back up doing an enchantment getting back to 27 because that’ll be the most efficient

Way to use our experience the higher level you are in minecraft the more experience you need to get to that next level but every single level just counts as one when you’re spending them for enchanting i’m going to be using that almost broken diamond pickaxe because if we can get

Fortune 3 on it all i got to do is make sure it doesn’t break and i can combine it into something else later on so i think it’s worthwhile to use that instead of spending the diamonds but we got that efficiency for i also brought a book here too we get anything on

There looks like no but i think that right here is going to be our best luck possible we got it yes okay fortune 3 efficiency 4. that is great news to the old mines we go diamond armor here we come that right there is a very sad sight to see

I’m sorry sheepy you shouldn’t have escaped the pen you suffered the consequences of death by barry bush now where did we leave these i think it’s over this way where the torches are on the ground i think that sounds about right for what i did

There we go there they are look at these precious ones and making sure we have the fortune pickaxe going let’s do that nine more diamonds okay not quite as many as i was expecting to get but that’s fine it’s fine sometimes fortune 3 doesn’t do that great anything in here nope okay

Was it the only the one vein of diamonds could’ve sworn we had like two or three of them sitting down here but i might be misremembering that i’m not seeing any more around these points okay well there’s that uh big scary mine shaft that we’ll have to go into eventually

I think it’s time to go back over to the new mine and just do some regular strip mining and hope we find some more this mine’s been pretty successful so far so i think i’m just gonna keep going this same direction out here and there’s actually some more coal already i really

Want to fortune that but the the fortune 3 right now has to be saved for diamonds ooh spooky cave we’ve found ourselves a spooky cave anything spooky in here ooh spooky lapis not seen anything so far that’s good no evil mobs around us and we got some lava down there and it

Looks like we’re pretty safe in here i like this one i like it less oh my gosh there’s a giant ravine out here with a bunch of caves attached to it i don’t think i want to be doing that right now what i will do though is check all of

These lava areas and see if there’s maybe some diamonds poking out it doesn’t look like it down this side anything around the corner nope nothing back there and we’ve got some more diamonds over here perfect oh that looks like there’s a lot of them i’m gonna get all of this

Coal out of here see if we can’t reveal them and i’m feeling pretty good about this let’s just mine them up yeah no lava sounds around and that brings us up to 20 total diamonds with the nine back at home that’s a big open cave but with the nine back at home

We actually can make a full set of diamond armor i think that’s gonna be better than the enchanted little chess piece i have right now because this gold armor does not help us out too much to be honest there we go we got another diamond van

Here and some lava around us though so let’s make sure these guys are safe it looks like they are so far and it i think it’s gonna be an eight oh perfect perfect perfect look at that right there we’re up to 38 diamonds this thing right here oh so worth it so

Worth going back up for that enchantment believe we have found an underwater cave or something out here because we are in the ocean by them now yes yes we are oh a full underwater cave any diamonds down here doesn’t look like it our breath will not

Last very long for us so let’s just get those guys and i think the fact that we have now reached the ocean uh it’s a good time to head back home and make some diamond armor wow this turned into a very long tunnel there’s always

A creeper on that hill when i leave the mine we’re gonna have to do something there we might have to build a statue of some sort because that dude is always out there and hopefully there’s not one on top of this hill it looks like we’re good some

Dead skeletons i always love to see the signs of that oh that creeper was just really blending into the landscape there completely missed him and gone okay dealt with sheep you gotta warn me buddy if i died to something will walking back with 40 diamonds almost to be able to create

A new set of armor to make us even stronger that’d just be really sad the best part is right now is that we’re level 31 and we can go and chant one of these pieces but i want to get oh that’s iron we don’t want that we want diamond pants

We’re getting diamond booties we’re getting a diamond helmet and where is that diamond chest plate gimme gimme gimme all right i think what i’m gonna do here is i want to enchant the boots or the helmet first depending on what we see on the table reason being is they have so many more

Useful enchantments on them on top of their protection 4 or whatever so we have respiration 3 or we have fire protection for not half bad what do we have fire protection do we have a blast no no blast protection fire protection honestly we’re going to the nether soon

I’ll take that what else do we get ooh depth rider 3 fire protection 4 unbreaking 3 i like that we’re gonna go equip those guys right now what else do we got on here so blast protection 4 if we can get up to level 30 again

Oh gosh i want that i want that real badly right now i’ve got some stuff smelting away in there so we can get some experience off of that and then on top of those for a little bit more experience here we’re going to start smelting down some cobblestone there too

Get that stuff rocking and then i think i could go do a little bit more mining i might i’m gonna breed up the animals too all this gives little bits of experience here and there joel would be so proud of what i’m doing here with the chickens

So much love so much love we’re almost there purely off of cattle breeding works out great that herd size is absolutely massive now there we go a level 30 perfect perfect perfect we can get blast protection for now correct me if i’m wrong on this one i believe that we need to have

Blast protection for and protection for specifically on everything else in order to survive these you know that’s just plain blast protection for but that’s okay because it’s going to replace our gold chest plate with that same enchant and then we go diamond chest plate on there and that is real good

Oh boy finally feeling a little bit more brave and strong inside of this world full honesty here folks it has been quite a while since we last spoke and it’s actually the next day because i want to spend a lot of time getting our potato field planted in and i figured

That did not need to be happening on cam there so we’ve got this whole giant potato field starting all the way up there with a bunch of leaves at the top and i’ve actually started piling up the leaves up there so mobs hopefully cannot get on top of the roof

Or if they can they have to come all the way down and then work their way back up and then you know they’re really stealth assassins up there so it’s fine i am absolutely in love with this place over here i harvest up a little bit of

The wheat field over there which is going to ruin the immersion of all of the giant golden wheat across everywhere but we’ve got the potatoes in here and the next thing that i wanted to be working on as far as the fields go is i built another pathway out right

Over here which connects into the actual main entrance into our little fortified village in here and i want to do a bit of a carrot patch in here so just a smaller carrot patch i’ll get to that one here later but we are way out of time for today’s episode
