I have to admit um the music that’s here with this composer definitely has a very unique approachable accessible newness if you would and uh but yet still keeps the Integrity of what was established by um C418 and So based on that um I was really really kind of first listen If you would really super pleased with uh with what I was hearing so I thought I would just bring this to you guys and you guys uh you know let’s listen to this together and let’s have a blast and let’s see what you guys say about that so what I’m going to do Right now is we’re all going to sit here we’re all going to listen to these five tracks that were released with the new Minecraft 1.20 update and let’s just do this and if you guys are kind of wondering what this video is is something that I actually prepped the night last night And it’s up on the channel without me yapping through it but I thought I would use this for our twitch session uh to listen listen listen listen uh to this new composer uh Edition composer Aaron Sheriff who also I did look up has quite a um bit of music he’s Written in his life but he specializes it sounds like he specializes in the Ethereal ambient kind of vibe so so let’s do this guys this is um the new music from Minecraft 1.20 all right Thank you foreign So this is where he’s sticking with the Integrity of composure’s originality with the piano that has this long sustain and ambient kind of vibe A little Meandering Melody there that very nice Thank you And it still encompasses that kind of vibe of being alone by yourself working on something thank you Foreign Wanted to stop really quick what’s unique about this first of all what I love that’s beautiful about this is this is actually um sounds like a an organic acoustic piano and of course it could be the high-end you know samples of nausea but you can hear You know the Hammers on the string as a you know piano is a percussive instrument so what I had said earlier is sticking with the Integrity of Minecraft music that was established by C418 which is the piano sound that’s washed out with with the sustain pedal in some cases Because there is a track there called dry dry and wet if you guys remember that on the original Minecraft where actually there is no Reverb there is no uh ethereal ambient post long vibe to it where it actually sounds like it’s a very dry piano Uh but that being said I think most of the music that’s been established in Legacy music from Minecraft uh has that washed out longer kind of vibe so keeping to the Integrity uh Aaron you know stays with that now where this completely steps away is now we have These really nice chord changes which to what I believe perhaps Legacy Minecraft uh listeners uh might feel the newness of that like where we where where does that go and what I mean by that is because a lot of the arrangements even through Lena and oh my goodness forgive me I forgot What’s the other composer that contributed uh to this uh as well it kind of stays a little packed in to more of a consistent um not overly Progressive chord changes whereas here this isn’t overly Progressive but he adds these core changes that actually add to the theory of the mind of wandering around And where will I find my next step kind of a Vibe definitely moving forward in the element of arrangement composition taking you away from um let’s say some of the composition Styles in the past and that’s what each composer is going to do when they bring Something new to the game so but I love the sound of the piano as well let’s see what else we got going in here foreign Like that at the end of that piece too there was that one little cluster note there Beautiful pad resolve in that background Thank you So now the composer is using a midi stacked approach More of a Digi keyboard layered That was a unique little addition there thank you Very unique rhythmic approach on this [Applause] Halftime music I think it would be a little too moving to be that kind of you know That’s a really good point um let me stop who’s here I don’t know What biomes these are linked to and I think that’s probably a little bit of a miss the way I’m doing it right now um what’s happening here now is it’s the composers taking what I believe he’s Best at which is creating ethereal ambient tracks which a lot of times crosses over by adding unique percussive uh Lo-Fi kind of loops and uh unique uh what I would call sparklies you know of uh of Arrangements that come in and out here and express here in different levels in the in the Tone Zone um I think by that question about what biome this might be attached to might be a little better of a read if I would to what the composer is writing to what but as far as I’m concerned thus far this track Like I said earlier now is a Completely different approach still using the ambient long Reverb kind of Washi Vibe but now it’s going to be now it’s more Progressive stacked midied synths creating kind of a pseudo piano sound and it sounds like there is kind of a slow attack slow release pad that’s in unison with that That kind of gets in and out released kind of sounds like I can’t say that that that’s what it is but now we’ve ventured into little things that are happening here with a very unique Rhythm uh Tempo or not a Tempo um meter that’s happening there but Let’s continue on see what we got oops I press button nothing happened where’s my fart box [Applause] can you hear the very faint subtle like triangle So subtle Foreign Foreign much more Progressive in what I would consider um mature is not the word I’m looking for um I’ll just sit with a lot more Progressive approach and I think with the maturing of Minecraft you know The decision to grow and enrich and enrich a little bit of the soundtrack it was probably made somewhere along that line Kind of like a like a spheric drone very like uh you just said uh noise scape that last one was Aryan this one has a little bit more of a universal long pull to it thank you okay well that’s a pull from the original no Style thank you Foreign Thank you yeah sorry you can’t hear the bass if you’re on your phone if you’re on some headsets it doesn’t carry it beautiful beautiful beautiful layering going on here and the counter rhythmic arrangements are very melodic between that kind of pseudo Cynthia Mallet kind of sound that’s keeping You know that part of the melody but the beautiful answer back that’s happening in the piano is it’s so it’s subtle but so beautiful but what’s Happening Here is one of my more favorite things to do in compositions that are ethereal or ambient And you hear I do it all the time on my uh sounds of Tranquility Channel you know where I have more of that Zen meditative stuff that I um uh produce for that Channel or most of it’s mine uh where I’m really kind of gonna I’m gonna set you in a Groove On a single note that root and then I’m going to maneuver around and sometimes it just sits there and just breathes in this case this is an excellent example of the composer sitting on that root note and then really expanding really beautifully on the chord choices around That but still keeping that through line I call that like the hemispheric the brain hemispherical zipline you know that that kind of joining of the two spheres of the brain when you have that one note that just kind of plays through and it’s kind of a secret or it’s kind of a magic Method that a lot of composers will use that once you define that note sometimes it’s not obvious you can go oh I can feel it may not be obvious but sometimes you can you know even if you’re not a musician you can feel that there’s something that’s a consistent through it All so but that’s just yeah All right Thank you That was like that was great I love that Another Melody comes creepy aside You know Couch Potato just said something this is a good time for me to pause this um that this this is where that conversation might be happening out there and I haven’t I mean this is fairly newly released I think probably in the last two months I haven’t really looked Around sorry I got hiccups I haven’t really looked around for opinions a lot you know from other people posting you know the song the music and reading some comments and stuff but um it makes you want to play Wii golf that’s funny uh Couch Potato said it almost feels like it’s not simplistic Enough for Minecraft uh ambience and there’s a part of that where I completely understand that point of view because outside of let’s say game Aesthetics changing adding new colors and stuff like that the essence of it is still a very ambient and a very um isolated game you know unless you’re Playing the more advanced versions where you’re you’re with other people and you guys like that whole other thing you’re playing that server style which I’ve got nowhere near where other people are involved with it and so if you’re in if you’re in the core um gaming of I build things and I’m building new things and I’m even fighting you know uh the zombies and stuff like that it’s still your by yourself in most cases you it’s you against the world you’re building things protect yourself or whatever from or the villagers from you Know the bad guys but it’s still a by myself kind of vibe and the establishment of the music of Minecraft for all these years have been that kind of you know um less is more in a powerful way as a composer I will agree that this music definitely steps out of that obviously Excuse me obviously to each his own and how they’ll absorb this during game play these are longer and Fuller pieces as well I know that there’s pieces in the past in Minecraft that are of three and four minutes and stuff but even those tracks are very long You know swell UPS of sounds and then really nice breathing in between it before more of the music might Meander through so I could see where uh for some the Simplicity of what Minecraft music established before might put you in that mind frame saying well this is a little more you know this Is moving a little more you know but I think also too part of the development development and the growth of of anything a game a band an artist as things move forward is to take those changes and those those steps to you know still keep some of the Integrity of what it’s all About so in this case the Integrity that c14 is uh 418 established uh is about Ambience and space and airiness so there’s still that maintained here but this composer is stepping a little Beyond to give our through our senses musically different ways to create huh oh change kind of that’s the way I Kind of imbibe in with it you know so let’s see what else we got here what do we got hello oh there we are These long infinite reverbs so cool Foreign Hits for me on all levels Whistle sparse Edition there Thank you Foreign So when I said that this really hits it for me is to me this is something where just as a new Minecraft game player I can get into in the sense that it pulls now in a nostalgic Vibe for me with this composition what I mean by That is because I was so I’m so well rinsed as well as many of you in the traditional C418 style composition that um you know you can’t unring those bells right and the first couple tracks that we heard from uh Aaron were kept all the like I said the Integrity Of the ambience and the airiness and everything but with more of a progressive Arrangement but this track really pulls on me with the nostalgic Vibe as well as enjoying the fact that um the piano sounds a little different you know it the actual sound itself but what I love is the little Melody that he’s playing in the back with which I might consider like a a guitar patch an acoustic guitar Patcher or steel acoustic guitar patch that he might be using I don’t know just sounds like it to me and so this particular track just like um Say crackers well I don’t know how to say your your name it really has that relaxing tone kind of Harkens back into what might be um emotionally expected uh for music that’s playing against gameplay in Minecraft you know so yeah that does that for me foreign Foreign Foreign Into emotionally and then this pullback there’s a little essence of a sequence being played too lightly in the back ah that I loved that track they’re all fantastic thus far that one pulls for me because of the fact that it does hit that nostalgic like you know oh what do we got here Okay Oh Foreign Ly this is really sticky oh a little two-step Lo-Fi Thank you Wow now we’re getting into thank you okay now we’re getting into a different kind of composition I would never have expected uh for for MInecraft I love what’s happening here but because I’m not knowing what it goes against I think the song is called Relic um but this one yeah definitely stands out Completely different than any other track that I’ve heard on Minecraft so maybe this is an end credit thing or maybe this is like a an achievement thing like you you built something you know in in that kind of that’s what I’m feeling now one of the two of the things That I thought were very unique was it almost sounds like at some point maybe the composer had done something on the piano and said hey wait I got an idea I’ll assign this half of it to a different sound to that more sizzly Relic type of synthy Sound but on the other hand he supports it with a very soft kind of uh EP um electric piano vibe that has a little bit of a warm ambient kind of thing to it and so I’m starting to get into that going okay and the melody is very you Know obviously it’s very obvious on this but then all sudden he comes in with that kind of um two-step rhythmic percussion I’m like okay we’re lifting and now he just he continued that for about 16 bars but what he just turned around and did in this last couple of Minutes or I’m sorry last maybe eight bars he kind of lifted the arrangement up and out of it and brought into something that would be a lot more Progressive in in other RPG games uh jrpg games that I’ve listened to or other more uh influential OST style composition Because now we have the chord changes and it’s um it’s very reminiscent of more Progressive OST work but let’s see what else we got here Thank you Foreign So yeah you know obviously the end of the uh like video that I prepped here um there’s no two ways about it this um release of music oh I kept a little Thunder I forgot I did that so let me just stop this here and rape um I don’t know you guys I mean you how many have we got we got a few people here and you know what are your thoughts of it as far as the new music um or a new addition to it now other people are saying too no I have not Listened I didn’t know I just recently learned I think three days ago that there’s discs inside the game that have music I had nothing I I had no idea what that was until I looked it up I go what are these and these are actual Edition additional Pieces of of music so now I got to go in and fully check that out and listen to it um but um dinosaur waivers yeah no there’s no twins oh thank you so much for the uh for the rating got rated um but in this case I think each one of these compositions Definitely fit inconsistency there’s like in each one of them I could find that like where the composer is staying within the genre that C418 and and all the other composers is establical C418 primarily established but like anything else that has a progression you know a new release you Get some new cherry blossoms you get some new things some people love it some people don’t music same kind of thing I think this music stands out on its own and will be extremely successful as a playlist Edition you know uh where I have like like for instance Um there’s a video on my channel this video that I was watching while listening to was a video that I just kind of put together so I could do this segment and I it’s released on my channel so to listen to all the music without me yapping over it it’s actually on the Channel but um funny enough when I was after I rendered out that video and I was doing some cleaning I listened to it again and I found myself really really enjoying the music as a standalone um you know playlist Edition for me um because I yet I have yet to Experience the music and gameplay which I look forward to I just don’t know where uh like some questions came up earlier or something which um that sometimes music plays in different biomes so because I’m still a noob at Minecraft and I’ve ventured more into creative mode just to build things and Just to go la la la keep my brain busy I haven’t ventured into regular gameplay Style ships and biomes also I also had some a comment here that I should be listening to music that plays during the um neither neithers the Nethers I don’t know how the I think it’s called the Nethers that you know I would have a really super uh sick experience with that too so I still have a lot more to to go through you know um hey thank you so much for joining me Enigma Theory thank you so much is that an enigma Theory thank you so much for Your uh re-priming and
