ReversedGravity – The Most Underwhelming Door in Minecraft +Tutorial [Crafty’s TeamSeas Redstone Challenge]

Hey this is revved today i have a new door for you this one is another hipster door back in hipster door land and it is a two or three high um seamless glass hipster bar this one is closed it puts a single block one block off the ground it does take a while

It’s not broken and so you can have like a frame around it like this here so you can’t pass through and it also opens once again it takes a while it’s not broken and the little secret about this thing is that it’s infinitely expandable so i can make it

As long as i want it’ll still work so this one’s like 50 blocks long or something and once again it will close just like the last one except that sort of a wave pattern just because of the observers used and here’s the opening it’s going to take a little bit

And if you take a look at the redstone you can probably see why it takes so long because we have two cobweb timers if it looks like i built this at 3am um that’s because it is it’s not the best redstone but it nevertheless is still functional and is

Decently compact for what’s basically a two-high seamless glass hipster door i forgot to mention that this is also my submission for crafty’s team seas challenge but here and this one i’ve removed the floor so you can see it working better so here’s the closing it’s going to use

The triple extender to push the glass block above the floor it’s just going to retract normally and replace the floor block this takes a while because it’s waiting on a cobweb timer there and here’s opening it’s basically the same thing just use a triple to remove the glass block and then put it

Into storage and replace the floor block once again it’s waiting on this cobweb timer here and that’s about it so let’s get to the tutorial so to build this you’re gonna need a three wide seven long and four high area and your floor blocks is going to be on

The fifth block we don’t count the floor in this one just because it’s not needed for the door to function so we can start with our layout and input so we need some sticky pistons a block and our lever and a normal and normal piston so our layout is going to start on

This block here two blocks in from the side and our triple piston extender will be touching the bottom of the uh lit our setup it’s gonna be a normal triple we have a normal piston facing this way and then two sticky pistons on top of each other facing the opposite direction like that

We’re also going to need one immovable block right here and an observer that goes right there our input block is going to be two blocks to the left of this normal piston and just and it’s just going to be a lever now to power all this stuff we need quite a few observers

So we’re going to have our observers facing sideways like this so you can build up lines of them in order to uh make it infinitely expandable so we’re gonna have two observers facing sideways like this have observers on top facing upwards to power the piston in this block here

We’re gonna have another observer right here which powers our bottom piston and one more oops was over here that will power the rest of our rows except for the first row where it’s going to be a dust actually and so i’ll replace that in a sec but we

Have the observer facing into this row of pistons one facing down we’re gonna put our dust here we’re gonna have an observer facing down from this one here which will power a hopper which will have another observer detecting it and then finally a four tick repeater facing into

This piston here which is our double extender and i can just get our glass and quartz block or floor and our door walk over here and our glass block will be in the storage right here actually the first row for our normal piston wall speed a lamp instead

Okay now for our closing it’s going to be quite simple because a lot of it reuses the opening for the triple we’re going to have right here a piston with an observer on it you can also just power this just because when the door is closed this lever will be powered

Then we’ll have a piston here with an observer fit on it as well and this will go into a block and this and then a repeater and then an observer and a block it’s going to destroy that so we don’t activate it next we’re going to have a slab right

Here with redstone on it and this will power a hopper right next to it then we have an observer facing down which goes into a block and then powers a hopper here and as our closing sequence so now we’re going to do our triple extender

And this is going to mess up the lay of the bit because we’re going to place a lot of blocks so i’m just going to destroy our two blocks here but we’re going to have a observer facing down and then from that two observers facing into this hopper here and

A four tick repeater on top of that then we’ll have an observer powering that repeater and that is most of our triple done so what we can do is when i power this it should do a double extender of the bottom two pistons that puts our uh

Piston up here then we just need to power it and then when we update it again it’ll retract it then we just have to power a double extender again to finish it off so to power this uh observer right here we’re gonna have a bit of a chain of observers like that

And this one right here will power a string like that and this one will be this string here will be updated by our minecart so actually we’re gonna have to destroy this observer here for now just to get our minecart in position uh into that we’re gonna need a fence

Which you place here and then a rail and i like to use minecarts with furnaces just because you can’t interact with them we can’t accidentally get in them or anything so we’re going to push it against that rail and then destroy the railings blocks then we can take out our fence right there

Now to get our uh blocks back in position i’m gonna destroy that just for now we can take our string put our observer here and then just push it down into position like that and then replace our observer here and also replace our string and our block up here and again

You can just place our piston here and our cobweb right on top of it like that so this creates the two pulses for our triple that are far enough apart that works and now just to power uh this piston here you have two observers facing down

Into a block i’m going to remove this for now and we’re going to have two four-second repeaters just give a bit of delay before our triple gets powered both on closing and opening so to power these pistons here for a triple we’re gonna go to this uh four tip

Repeater here and make a falling edge so after our double with these two volume pistons powers it will power this and this is going to go into a block and power uh place that wrong uh fortress repeater here which is gonna have the observer facing up into a red stone

Dust and what this does is it’ll power those two pistons like that and then these will get powered so we have our full extension and then we’ll do our like double sequence again and they’ll power it just the right time so these pistons here these two here can’t get powered however

It’ll still power our double at the bottom finishing off the retraction so we can just test that by just giving this a one tick pulse so there’s our extension now we just wait a bit and there’s our retraction and now just to finish this off

We need to do is have one more pulse that goes to this piston here and that will replace our floor block and for that we need quite a bit of delay and so that’s what all this space here and the extra cobble timers for so we’re gonna have

An output from this repeater here that gives our pulse to these pistons here and have an observer below it going into this okay and from here we’re going to power another piston this will be our second cobweb timer so you have to set up another one um

This one instead of using string we’re going to use a pressure plate but to do it i’m going to put a rail on top of this piston here and another fence to align right there you can take our furnace cart and just push it into it and destroy our rail and uh

Fence there then we actually this slab here which we can just push into it and since it’s against the block you don’t need to zero ticket or anything and now for our pressure plate make sure you have to use a weighted pressure plate just because the timings of it are

Slightly different so if you use a normal one it won’t work so make sure it’s a weighted pressure plate then we can place our piston here which gets powered by that so when we push this up it’ll get powered and then when it retracts it’ll depower and then we’ll have an observer

Detecting the head she’ll go up two blocks then just into a simple talk observer toggle here so when it powers it’ll retract like that when it depowers it will make a pulse and even though this is given like four pulses um because the micro will still be stuck

In the cobweb when this piston powers it will filter out all the extra ones so that should be the whole thing done so i’ve got my glass block here but right now actually just close again to reset it you can’t make any difference so we have our glass block here our

Floor block right there now we should be able to close it and there’s our extension now we just wait on our cobweb timer for it to fully close and here’s our opening okay now to expand it it’s pretty simple so from each of our inputs we’re just

Going to extend our line of observers like this so this hopper is also one and then we’re going to expand our layout as well actually we’re going to first extend the observers that come off those inputs to power our layout and now we can just

Add to our layout so it’s the width we want and then once we do that it should be expanded i noticed that you can use repeater chains for all of these however it does add an extra layer on the bottom so just something to keep in mind once again here’s the closing

Oh you just have to wait for the cobbler timer again there’s a closing and here’s the opening and once this cobweb timer finished it should close completely there’s it so hope you enjoyed the door um check out crafty’s team seas challenge and have a nice day see you
