Easy 2019 Modern Underwater House Tutorial in Minecraft

[Applause] hey what’s up youtube in this video i’ll be showing you how to make a modern underwater house in minecraft stay tuned until the end of the video to see how the entire house turns out including the inside i hope that you guys enjoy this video if you do

The materials that we will need to make our underwater house please do make sure that you have access to all of those and enough of those materials as well the amount of space required to make the house is a 19 by 17 block area do feel

Free to make this grid in your world if you feel as though it may help you out and that’s it pause the video if you have to make sure that you got all that stuff make sure you’ve got enough room to make it make sure you’re ready and

Once you are we can begin step one my underwater builders come all the way over to the front right hand corner of your grid if you’ve made it count to the left of the corner by one and then inwards one two three four five on top of this block place three white concrete

One two three extend that third block left by three one two three and then extend that block upwards by eight one two three four five six seven eight and then extend that eighth block backwards by 11 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 and you can

Actually join that 11th block all the way down to the ground not that we’re going to be doing too much with this row right now but we will be joining to it a little bit later on return it back to the front of your belt and connect

This block here that we extended up on top of down to the ground you can even join at the bottom of this together left to right like this leaving a small window and you can even fill that small window in with glass i’m using glass block just because i find

It’s easier to work with underwater but do feel free to use pain in addition to this i’m going to take the upper right hand corner of this window and i’m going to extend it backwards by two using white concrete one two and then i’m gonna extend upwards by three one two three

We’re going to take the bottom of this and extend it left by two using white concrete one two we’re going to place two rows of glass on top one two and then the left block here we’re just going to place a little bit of white concrete i’m going to recommend that you fill

This little area in here using white concrete so fill in just above the window and just on the side here using white concrete you can fill in all the way from the bottom up to the top kind of like this and the only real goal of this if that

Has been a little bit uh hard to understand we don’t want to have any gaps here or here so that’s why we just added all that white concrete so just add a sufficient amount so there’s no gaps now that we’ve done that we want to start building a little bit more of the

House and to do this we’re going to come all the way down to the bottom left-hand corner here of the build and we’re going to move forwards and to the left so diagonally and we’re going to place four white concrete on top of each other one two three

Four so in front of and to the left extend that fourth block to the left by four one two three four i want you to join that block down to the ground but also go up on top of it by four one two three four I also want you to take the right side here and i want you to extend this upwards by six one two three four five six so we’ll have a very peculiar shape we’re not going to do too much with this just yet except we can take the lower half of the

Shape here and this is where the main entrance is going to be and you can add a panel of white concrete a 3×3 row of white concrete inside of the empty space that we have you can then dig out the two middle blocks destroy the one that would be on the

Ground which is here of course and an entrance is going to go there a little bit later we could even make part of the entrance now which i think would be perfectly fine so what we’re going to do is we’re going to grab our dark prismarine slabs

And we’re going to take the bottom right and bottom left hand corners here of the build and we’re going to place three prismarine slabs one two three extending outwards one two three we’re going to stick a dark prismarine on the end and then extend the dark prismarine blocks up each by one one

One place sideways dark prismarine stairs on top those prismarine stairs can be extended backwards to hit the entrance of the house on both sides kind of like this there we go i want to place upside down dark prismarine stairs extending inwards from the outer pair kind of like this

And then i want to place slabs on top join together at the top and then we’re going to extend the middle backwards so we’ll kind of have like a little cage almost really we want to fill the sides of this in using some glass block so we’re going to

Fill these sides in using glass it’s going to come all the way up to the top here on the left and the right just like this we just want to make sure that that is all nice and airtight and we are going to have a door here so

What you could do is you could perhaps it depends what you want your ear lock to look like you could replace the floor using some white concrete or perhaps some spruce or you could use sand if you like that’s not wanting to place there we go or you

Could use some sand or you know you can kind of do whatever you like i’m going to try out some white concrete but you could just leave it as is if you like so actually looks okay it makes it uh look it makes it contrast a little bit

More uh later on we’ll stick a door there and of course we want to have a glass here at the top as well but we’ll stick a door there so this is kind of what we have so far and i’m pretty happy with it i think it’s looking quite cool

So the next thing that we want to do is we want to come to the left hand side here where we have this long row of white and we want to behind this row of white and to the left of this row of white so once again diagonally we want to place a

Row of white in this position there is Eight blocks high one two three four five six seven eight so it’s as high as the row just to the right of us which is fine we then want to behind this row we want to start again at the bottom and we want to place a row of four white concrete

Coming upwards one two three four and we’re going to extend that fourth block to the left by four one two three four and then we’re gonna extend it in and left and in and left back by four one two three four we’re then going to extend it in towards us in

Towards us like this we’re then going to extend it to the left by four as well one two three four just like this and we’re going to extend that fourth block upwards by four one two three four we’re gonna join it down to the ground like this

We’re going to extend a row of white concrete extending outwards just like this so it just hangs over you can even join at the tops of these together like front to back if you so wish i would also add an additional row of white concrete here just on the front

Part so this is kind of like the side profile of this and whilst we are here we might as well make the rest of the shape of this area i think and then we’ll come back to this because it’s quite a cool key feature so whilst we are on the back i’m going

To recommend that you take the very bottom block that we placed here and we’re going to extend it left and then towards you and then left towards you left two towards you and then back inwards just like this so we want to have something which should look very much like that

Now what we are going to do from here is we are just going to seal up this sort of like final corner and we want to take this row of white concrete here and we want to count from the bottom and we want to go upwards by one two three

And then we’re going to place four white concrete going left one two three four we’re then going to go forwards by five one two three four five join down to the ground like this just like that so what we’re now going to do is we are going to take the sort of like

Inside of this shape here and we’re going to add a row of white concrete just on the inside like so and then we’re going to add another one we’re going to take the left of this and we’re gonna extend it upwards by two one two we’re going to place four glass

In total we’re going to place two rows of two glass to the right and we’re going to place a white concrete just up above like this you can kind of see the pattern that we have created in addition to this we want to kind of

Just fill in just the side part here you can actually fill in around the window in this sort of manner so you can like fill in above the windows like this and that will stop you getting any sorts of leaks or gaps or anything like that

And then you can fill this area in here so we can extend the white concrete back from the front extending backwards we don’t want to extend this part backwards the part that kind of like juts out a little bit we want to maintain kind of like a sense

Of depth and intrigue which is kind of what this is we want to underneath here so like this area we want to add another row of white concrete inwards to the overhanging parts of white concrete so kind of like these areas here like this so now we have like another

Row of white concrete to work with and the reason that we have this is because we want to place dark prismarine slabs extending from that extra row of white concrete to the other row and we also want to do it above as well which is why i filled in a

Little bit on the top so we kind of want to have something which should look like this and then we’re going to place glass behind it so we want to maintain a few different levels of depth which is kind of funny considering that we are ourselves literally maintaining a level of depth haha

Water joke so we want to have something which should look like that and i think it actually looks quite cool the whole point of this area here is that we get to add a cool window the window’s made out of i should say a roof for our window and the roof is

Basically made out of dark prismarine slabs you place a row of them extending across the side of like this long stretch of roof the bris marine slams overhang the front of the build by one row and then you extend inwards and upwards until you create a slanted roof

Kind like this and it’s quite a cool color contrast it’s it’s like really dark material going on to a really light material and it really does work quite nicely in addition to that the prismarine is an ocean block as well so you want to extend it from the front to

The back of this little roof area too and you want to have the same effect so like it it just looks like really really cool it’s uh it just looks really good i i think that’s really nice um a really nice compliment to the whiteness of the build

So what else do we want to do well we want to complete this area on the left side of the house it’s actually a really cool modern but also underwater feeling part of the build so what we’re going to do here is we’re going to grab our glass

And we’re going to add a layer of glass inside of the white concrete shape that we have so inside of the white concrete shape kind of like the half moon shape like this we want to add glass now that glass wants to extend down to the ground like this

And it also will extend upwards but more importantly it will extend down to the ground you only have to extend the corners down and what i mean by that is like as you’ll see like you don’t really even have to have these you can um you

Can like delete the corners kind of like this so you will give your yourself a little bit more space if you do this so it is actually somewhat beneficial so we’ll extend all of these down to the ground like this which would look good this is perfect oh and then here

Like that that looks really good and we’ll extend the glass upwards as well so one two and three and it’s pretty much equivalent to what we just extended down like we just had to extend down by three so we’re also going to extend up by three and then that way it looks nice

And even and balanced uh i’d also recommend filling the top of it in with glass as well because it will let in some light light is a little bit hard to come by under under the water unless you have conduits and stuff we actually have two of them

Um so this is sort of what we’re looking at we’re going to add dark prismarine slabs around the bottom of this this will really make the area part and we’ll also add it around the top as well so like i said the the top and the bottom of this is rather equivalent so

Um it it just looks really good it’s just a modern part of the house you can it it’s just like a cool way like you can see you can see inside of it it just looks good i think that’s pretty much the whole read i’m i’m trying to stop

Looking for reasonings like why i’ve done things with this house i’ve done it all just because i think it looks cool there’s no real purpose other than that so yeah this uh it looks it’s looking pretty good at the moment right guys i mean we’ve done like a huge portion of

The house right now um what we should really work on is the upper room so the upper roof is actually made in a very similar way to this roof down here uh except the roof starts over here so the roof actually starts hanging off the side of the build just

Here so we’re going to begin the large portion of the roof by placing dark prismarine slabs hanging off of the left side of the build and i realized this is a lot lower than there but we’re actually going to be climbing up we’re going to make sure that the dark

Prismarine slabs overhang the most outward white concrete part of the build by one row so you’ve got to extend it forwards by two we’re going to extend the slabs inwards and upwards eventually the slabs will reach a point where they overhang the right side of

The build by one row so the most right white concrete part that we have up at the top here it wants to overhang by one row and that gives you the roof that’s exactly how it is supposed to look ladies and gentlemen so all we would have to do is extend all of

The elements of the roof backwards i’d recommend starting with the dark prismarine itself just make sure there overhangs this part here so extend all of the dark prismarine blocks half of this is dark prismarine block and half of it is dark for his marine slab i’d recommend extending the appropriate

Blocks backwards with the appropriate block it’ll be a little bit faster we’re not going to do anything fancy with the back of the roof just yet we’re just going to make sure that we fill in the the middle part pretty much because this house also has an optional and i do

Mean optional key feature that you can choose to add it completely depends how you want to lay out your world and stuff i’m not 100 sure i would have it on mine but it it’s kind of like an interesting feature so i’m going to give you guys

The option that this house will actually look 100 perfectly fine without it but i will give you guys the option as i say so we want to have something which should look a little bit like that let’s just make sure that the front of the roof looks cool and i don’t know what

We’re doing here there we go okay so this is what the front some of the fish are just chilling on the house um this is what the front of the build should look like so far um what’s also important is that we should have a window here so i’m actually going to

Fill in all of this empty space here i’m going to fill all of it behind it in using some white concrete at certain points we will have to destroy some of the slams to uh to actually place the white concrete but that’s perfectly fine we want it to integrate with the roof

Anyway so we’ll have that and then we can just slip out and this is what we want to have perfect now leaving a gap of one from the bottom here we’re gonna have two empty uh two empty rows and we’re going to fill it in with glass so we’ve got yet another

Window which is looking pretty good and that’s largely what the house will look like from the front we’re missing a couple of doors and a little bit of scenery but mainly that is what we’re going to have and then when we whip around the back here this is where the optional part

Comes in ladies and gentlemen because you don’t have to add this we’re going to extend this white concrete here inwards by an additional row so we have an even shape and we’re going to place glass on top of this kind of like curved shape can you can you please drown somewhere else

Thank you uh kind of like a curved shape that we have here you could even destroy the corners if you wanted to i mean the corners aren’t necessary rarely at all and the point of this is that we will raise the glass up all the way to the surface if you like

And we will create um kind of create like a a way to get up and down into the house from the surface if you wanted to you can just obviously just hop in the water if you wanted to from any one of these points and you could just swim down to the house

Especially if you’ve got conduits um it’d make it a little bit easier but for those of you that kind of like one i don’t even know what to call it it’s kind of like um it’s just kind of like a glass tube which uh which kind of like connects you

Down um you’ll have to destroy part of the roof as well that’s um that’s pretty much given um we’re going to create kind of like a circular structure inside the house that you can kind of like climb up with um the way that you’ll get up and down it is via ladders

Or if you wanted to i think such a thing exists like a like a water elevator i think so that might be something that you want to look into as well but um the infrastructure is here for you and um we’ll just extend it all upwards

Like i said you’ll you’ll have to get rid of um part of the roof or you know at least a partial part of the roof to kind of like include this um or you could build around the roof and what i mean by that is like you could just

Place the glass on top and kind of like integrate it from there but i figure it’s probably something that you would want to kind of like have like this because we could also use this tube to get up to the second story of the house because this house has more

Than enough room that you can have two two separate stories hey are you for real my friend you’re gonna need to buy yourself a boat i can’t believe that i’ve never seen that before the guy’s just chilling just chilling offshore in the ocean fair enough okay i don’t think the llamas appreciate that

He really wants to make a sale i guess that’s what you’ve got to do nowadays if you want to make money you’ve got to be willing to go and find people in their underwater modern ocean houses times are tough times are tough maybe you can come inside a lot when we’ve actually like

Built the house that’s crazy and for the top of this now that we’ve reached the surface what i’m gonna do i’m gonna stylize it a little bit by placing some uh and inside stairs around the top of this and i i kind of want the stairs to join

Together in the corner sometimes this can be a bit tricky um sometimes you’ve got to like delete a stair and you’ve got to kind of like um join it join it back together it can be kind of tricky a little bit so it’s probably easy if you

Destroy a stair place one sideways and then uh the other way and then and then it should actually do it but sometimes sometimes it doesn’t like doing it very much and we can play some smooth stone slams on the top of this i mean this could be

Purely decorative if you want as well and then like a stomach wall on top and then a smooth sound slab and then it kind of ju then you’ve made like a feature out of it and then you could actually like uh leave one of these blocks open and you can climb down into

It if you like and i would imagine let’s say that you wanted to get back to shore you can either like row over using a boat you could create like a little dock here or you could create like a an actual physical bridge or something like that

But that’s completely up to you let’s pop that back down underwater now and we can take a look at our house so our house is actually looking pretty good we’re gonna make sure that it’s got no leaks or it in it or anything like that

And oh all we have to do we’ll just connect the roof to it here and that might be a good point just make sure the roof all connects everywhere and i do believe that it does so i’m actually quite happy about it uh the house doesn’t have any leaks so what i’m now

Going to do is i’m just going to decorate the outside the house a little bit um we need doors so spruce door might be able to use a little bit of sand and i’m just going to use oh and also we’ll need spruce trap doors and we just need loads of other like

Underwater decorations so all different kinds of coral and stuff so just like where we have these windows here it would just be nice if you just place some sand blocks and uh some spruce trap doors around them and if you just populated the blocks with like different

Kinds of coral and stuff so you can do that down there you could you can like place some oh you can even place it on the sides of the house i actually didn’t know that but yeah you can just kind of like make the house look a little bit

More colorful it’d be easier if the concrete wasn’t here but we also want to have like sand here just to again we we just want to create and it’d be better if we did have different uh different colors and stuff too and different heights of stuff would be quite handy

But yeah just you know just stuff like this and then we could even have some down here as well um we want to have uh so we also want to have a little bit here too just kind of like keep things bright so maybe a little bit yellow um

Place it on the windows my bad maybe like a little bit yellow here and then maybe even some kelp and uh you know something uh something like that you know just to kind of add a little bit of something to the build and then you can kind of like place

Play some all around the place um let me actually get rid of all the concrete from the ground and and then we can actually do a little bit more like maybe we can play some like running alongside the house and stuff and as if by magic all of the concrete has disappeared so

All i wanted to do basically was just kind of like create a little bit more of uh kind of like an underwater garden and we can use all sorts of different colors of kelp and uh coral and seagrass and stuff to kind of achieve this effect count probably isn’t the best idea actually

Up here it’s uh it will just like grow into this into the roof and look a little bit weird but um we can definitely place like different uh different colors of like coral and stuff around the house it certainly make it look a little bit more colorful i think

And um obviously you know you you’re probably going to want to be a little bit more selective than i am now but just kind of just to give you a bit of an example you know you can do uh little bits like that and it will just make it

Uh it will just brighten things up a bit and you could kind of like expand out the house and stuff but just to just to kind of like add a little bit of color to the build since it is largely colorless i think that it would do it uh do it

Some good uh in addition to this what we’re also gonna do is we’re going to prep the house and to do this we’re going to need some spruce doors we’re going to need some spruce wood and we’re going to grab ourselves the sponge so i’m going to chuck a spruce door here

On the kind of like the i don’t know quite what like the air lock so i’m going to chuck a door here there we go and i also want to have a door here as well so this is like the airlock and then this is the main

Entrance to the house and i’m going to sponge this area just like this perfect so we’ve gotten rid of all of the water and then we’re going to come into the main house and we are going to sponge the inside of the house as well but first we are going to re-floor the

House we’re going to re-floor it using some spruce wood that’s that’s kind of the material that i’ve chose to use because for some reason i i seem to think that the spruce goes quite nicely with the prismarine and the white concrete combo so i’m gonna get rid of

All of the floor here i’m gonna replace it with spruce in addition to this i’m going to place a second floor the second floor fits perfectly here so it’s quite easy to figure out where it goes it’s one row above the door but more importantly it’s directly where the

White concrete middle part is for the like the left side of the house so it’s quite easy to figure out where it goes and i’m also going to sponge the area so that’s all of the prep that will be required and more than likely i shall also have to kind of like

Sponge out the uh the the tube thing that we made to get up and down to the surface and up and down from the house to the surface and the surface to the house i’ll probably have to sponge that out and i’ll have to add light in here because

The conduit only works whilst you’re underwater so if you sponge all of it out we’re not going to gain the conduit powers and we won’t be able to see so i’m going to do all of those things and i’ll show you what it’ll look like it’s all very tedious work ladies and

Gentlemen you don’t want to watch me do it trust me so this ladies and gentlemen is what your house will look like once it has been 100 fully completed on the outside which you guys already had saw this is exactly hopefully what you guys had on your screen before i just jump

Forward but what you haven’t seen is the crap that i have applied to the inside of the house so if we go through the airlock here you’ll notice that now on the inside of the house i have re-floored the downstairs with spruce i’ve also completely cleared the house out of water i’ve

Added some light sources i have also added a second floor which is accessible up here up like the tube and if we come onto the second floor you kind of get a grasp for the size of it it’s actually quite sizable upon the second floor it’s the same spruce floor

We’ve got lanterns hanging everywhere it’s looking quite cool inside here actually and if we head all the way up to the surface you can see that we can climb the ladder all the way up to the top then this is what the house looks like from above so

That is exactly what we’re working with and hopefully you guys are left with something that should look exactly like that once you have cleaned your house out of water and added in those same flaws that i have now just before we close this video out ladies and gentlemen i thought that you guys

Might like to take a look at the house now that it has a little bit of decoration applied to it you’ll probably want to do your own sort of style and you’ll want to create your own sort of vibe but this is what i have done with

The house this is the ground floor we have a little bit of a brewing section and we have some chairs some some storage about the place we have an enchantment library slash improvement area plenty of light plenty of chairs plenty of storage about the place i even added a little bit of

Terracotta to the floor as well just to make it look a little bit brighter and more colorful in here if we head up to the second floor then we have some beds and we have kind of like a smelting slash cooking area and if we take a look

Over there we have a much more advanced specific crafting area and that’s pretty much the whole house we just have those two floors we have the airlock outside which there really isn’t too much to do with and of course we have the the tunnel the elevator

Whatever you want to call it that takes us to and fro the surface and that’s it ladies and gentlemen i do hope that you guys have enjoyed this tutorial this was very very fun for me to put together i really enjoyed making an underwater house it isn’t something that i’ve made
