So uh minecon this is amazing um we’re really excited to be here and show this to you guys for the very first time um no one’s seen this except for uh the guys microsoft and our partner 4j who’s also co-developing it and they’re doing a fantastic job um So uh so uh let me just was i’m stuart platt i’m one of the producers on the game uh garage carpenter over there he’s also producing i’m based in redmond then garage is over in the uk and we got michael wolf here who’s our marketing guy to help uh get the memo And uh sometimes he gets very distracted in the game so i’m hoping he’ll really keep focused but um so here it is minecraft running on the xbox 360. um as you can see we’ve got the work in progress so it’s a it’s a very early pre-alpha build i’ll be really excited To show it to you guys so i guess one of the questions that we’ve been asked a lot or you know i think one of the things on top people’s mind is housing and control you know going to costs but that’s not one thing so Um one thing we’ve done is if you you know it handles very much like a first person shooter um so your language and then you know we’ve got a few different control schemes right now but you’ll feel very comfortable with the mapping to the x8 All right so let’s see so he’s you know walking around he sees uh these guys here so um let’s bring up the inventory so with a one quick button press the y button another achievement uh bring up the inventory system here so as but you know one thing we thought would Be cool to make it a little easier is we got this thing called a quick so what you can do is press y and quickly swap things in and out of your inventory to your hotbar and so that’s one of the things that we thought was through The console make it a lot easier to play um the other thing to notice here is that i would see one of our 2×2 all right so this is one of the things we’re really proud of and i think again 4j and mojang have done a great job and they brainstormed this so Here um so one of the things you notice is kind of telling you how to make things right now he’s got wood so if means you don’t have enough resources to make that so again kind of you know help get the player um easier and quicker or whatnot so uh Throw that puppy down and uh let’s try to make something so here we go now we’ve got a three by three crown and so you can see here if something’s grayed out that means we can’t make it so you can’t make a bad and there we go so very fast very efficient and Another achievement so uh yeah um walk around he’s got this thick axe here yeah and so you know what we’re going to hear today is just give a quick look at the crafting system here and um and you know i think i think i’m really Proud of how it’s come out i think you guys have done a great job and i think you know as much once said um you know make crafting on a console be as fun as text entry so almost five or five codes that you’ve all got hopefully um so You know again super easy um really trying to make it a really fun experience and you know again we’ve got you know over 35 million xbox live users they have 16 million registered users so you know i think we’ve got such a strong community and someone’s emoji and so you Know we’re really really excited and as much as he would um to keep Video Information
