Hello my friends and welcome back to another minecraft server tutorial from shock bite hosting my name is Stifler and today we’re going over all of the different ways to turn on and maintain your minecraft servers whitelist which will make it so that only the players you specifically allow will be able to Join here are some important time stamps for a few of the points we’re going to cover the first thing you need to know is how to turn on your whitelist there are a couple of ways to do this if you have a shock bite account head to shock Bite comm and then log into the control panel in the top right corner select the server that you want to enable the whitelist on and in the left sidebar select files and then config files you’ll see a list of all of the config files on your server but the one we’re Looking at is server settings or server dot properties once the page loads scroll down until you find the whitelisting drop down box and change it to enabled then go back to the main control panel for your server and restart it alternatively if you’re using an FTP client like FileZilla or winscp You can find your server dot properties file and look for enforce – whitelist and white – list set both of those to true save the file and restart the server like before finally you have the option of enabling and disabling the whitelist from within the game simply Type forward slash whitelist space on or forward slash whitelist space off once you’ve turned on the whitelist you’ll likely find that you aren’t able to log into your server the solution is simple head to your control panel once again and in the left sidebar click console as Long as the server is already running you can type commands in here just like you would in the game to give yourself access to the server again type whitelist add and your username then press Enter you should now be able to log into your server like normal to add Another player to the whitelist you can use the same command in either the console or if you are an operator on the server you can run the command in game type forward slash whitelist add and in the players name to add them to the server you can also remove a player from The whitelist which essentially bans the from the server by typing /white list remove and then the player name if you ever need to edit the whitelist file directly you can log into your server using an FTP client like FileZilla and look for the whitelist dot JSON file After making changes to this file you’ll need to either restart the server or type forward slash whitelist space reload for the changes to take effect that’s it you are now a minecraft server whitelisting expert if you ever have any questions or problems with your whitelist Be sure to reach out to us and submit a ticket at shock bite comm slash contact thanks for watching today and I look forward to seeing you in the next video You Video Information
