Oh shank has just updated the logo for Minecraft Java Edition and today we have been given the brand new panoramic background this is the Minecraft 1.20 snapshot 23w14a the 23 stands for the year the W stands for week the 14 stands for what week we are in we are currently in week 14 of 2023 and the a stands for the first snapshots of its kind we have changes to enchanting changes to suspicious sand changes to the new skulk blocks and a lot of bug fixes starting today with the changes the developers have updated the Minecraft Java Edition Logo this is a parity change it looks very similar to Minecraft Bedrock Edition however they have also given us a new main menu background which now resembles the trails and Tails updates let me show you so what you see on screen right now is the current Minecraft Java Edition logo and Background which resembles the not so wild updates and what you can see here is the updated changes so the logo is a little bit more squared off when it comes to Minecraft looks very similar to Minecraft Bedrock Edition looks very similar to Minecraft dungeons Minecraft education Edition Etc and they’ve also Updated this now after asking people on Twitter people seem to like it and I have to agree I like the squared off logo a little bit more but also the background has been updated and it does resemble the trails entails update let me speed it up and show you the whole entire background Foreign so with us getting a brand new logo but more importantly an updated panoramic background to me this symbolizes that Minecraft 1.20 is getting closer and closer to full release I’m expecting it to release May if not definitely by June 2023. next up in the desert temple the New room has more of its roof collapsed and one block of suspicious sand is always visible in the top layer so there will always be a suspicious sand sticking out and I think this is so new players or players who don’t follow Twitter or social media and just play Minecraft they are like wait what’s that look because when you see this sticking out verse regular Sans you’re obviously going to be curious so I kind of like that change let’s go to a desert temple gotta admit this is one of the most unusual locations I’ve ever located in Minecraft desert temple it’s literally buried so if I kind of like that anyway we gotta get on the inside and we gotta go to I think it’s this floor here right let’s grab ourselves some torches let’s light this place up a little bit so we can have a proper look so apparently There’s always going to be one suspicious sand sticking out now if I remember correctly there was actually no sand in this area previously so if we do get ourselves a brush very carefully brush this away you’re going to get one of the artifacts pop out this time it’s The bow and arrow one all right let’s speed this up but let’s just actually clear out the whole entire room foreign to lose one of my artifacts but managed to get three of those which is quite unexpected to be honest with you so they wanted it to resemble more of like a Collapsed styled roof anyway there will be one suspicious sand always sticking out you know it’s really to be fair I can see it’s slightly lowered here you know what’s really cool about this location this currently doesn’t do anything so that honestly opens up more opportunities for this location in the Future very good quality of life feature replaceable blocks no longer block the connection between enchanting tables and bookshelves wait for it we have a book report bro I love that feature so ironically enough this bug report has been across all of these versions and was reported on the 8th of November 2012. so as you know people like to customize their enchantment area now for example if you had snow layers down previously on the floor and you tried to enchant your item inside of here it would block the level 30 offer now it doesn’t matter you can kind of customize These to your own satisfaction really cool quality of life change let’s say for example flowers we’re in the way I think somebody commented saying flowers could also do it as well you can see here this one goes to 21. now something interesting here and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong I put that there just grab this out and put this here real quick if I’m to put this in here now you can see it’s level 30. if I place down a few carpets and then I try and put this aside of here it’s only offering me level 21 but If I get another sword let me try and do it again it’s only offering me 18. it looks like carpets are still slightly blocking it which is again something else that was said in the uh the bug reports but anyway if you wanted to put things down like snow layers wait how High can we do these and I customize this real quick put that inside of there yeah so again snow layers don’t seem wait let’s do this as high as possible snow layers don’t seem to be blocking anything at this moment in time it did say transparent blocks but I guess carpets like partially Transparent in a way I really don’t know but anyway if you wanted to use slow layers and customize it you know can changes with the skulk Shrieker now as you guys know when you stand on this it makes a noise however if you water log a skull Street Canal it will still do the animation but it will not make the sound I’m gonna go visit the warden and see if this does trigger him I know it’s hard to see but if we water log this and then I do stand on this as you can see it’s doing the animation Does it notify it does still notify the warden okay there’s still no Escape in the warden they’ve also added skulk Streaker to the redstone blocks tab in Creative so if we go to this section you can actually find it right there moving on to skok sensor quite a few changes Here for both normal and calibrated skunk sensors the following changes have been made default Redstone output has been modified to be more reliable for distance calculations It also says now strongly Powers the block they are placed on and I didn’t have a clue about this but King B dogs does he tweeted a Visualization of what the Redstone outputs will now be when triggering spoke sensors at different distances before it was more difficult to get values you could work with based on distance this is what it looks like now calibrated to the left normal on the right so they’ve improved skorks and the Calibrated versions and this is definitely something they’ve been focusing a lot more on in this update and very recently so if you like to use Spooks or calibrated versions they’ve been improved calibrated skook sensor it now has an active cooldown of one second instead of two seconds so you can Trigger this a lot more frequently there’s no wait time so if you like to use Redstone this is definitely a positive change calibrated skunk sensor now detects vibrations up to 16 blocks away instead of eight so if we just fly here I just throw this over here Come on they can now bounce off each other there you go it’s hard to see here but they are actually bouncing off each other previously it was eight to a roundabout here so yeah I really like that change I’m still learning these though fun fact these were meant to be Introduced when they introduced the other skorks but they never got around to it so they’re adding it in this update calibrated skunk accepts signals into the calibrated input side more consistently with other Redstone components for example signals can now be received through a block there was also a bunch of technical changes in This version but more importantly there was a lot of bug fixes which to me is an indication that Minecraft 1.20 is getting very close to being complete and we’re gonna start entering the bug fix stage anyway that’s the latest snapshots hope I’ve done pretty well keeping you Updated I’ll see you all in the next video Video Information
