Hey everyone, Ludwiggle here! And I have been reading through some comments on my last twitch launcher video about people not getting minecraft to properly launch So, I just wanted to go through some troubleshooting steps you might want to check out. One of the first things you should do is make sure the Twitch launcher is up to date. So, in this upper left-hand corner, where I am circling the mouse right now, you are going to want to click that. It’s called a hamburger menu. Now, go to to HELP > Check for Updates, and if there are any updates, an update screen would popup and it would prompt you to update Twitch. There are always updates for this launcher. The other thing you are going to want to do is when you click on Mods, You want to make sure that Minecraft is showing right up here. Again, if Minecraft is not showing up here, you need to make sure you have minecraft installed. Since mods are not supported in the windows 10 version of minecraft. You need to have the windows 10 java edition of Minecraft installed. So when you are on Minecraft.net, make sure you download and install the Java edition of minecraft. You can have both editions installed on your computers, but for Twitch to work, you have to have the java edition installed. Again, you have to have the java edition of Minecraft installed. If you click on this hamburger menu up here in the corner, you go to File > Settings and you have Minecraft installed, you should be able to see a Minecraft tab here. You can see where Minecraft has been installed. You can also see/change the release type, I always say use release. All of these settings you can change in Minecraft yourself. Launcher method, i have been using the native launcher. If you use the JAR launcher, that uses the Java version. I believe they changed the launcher to C# recently or C++ – one of those languages. So, just use native. And for launcher, I always say to use close launcher. All of this stuff is fine. So, when you go to your mods and let’s say you are on Minecraft, let’s just randomly find a modpack. Say I want to play SkyFactory 4 here. When I click browse modpacks, it popped up. You click on Install and you have to let it download fully. So you can see it says it is unzipping SkyFactory 4. I probably should not have selected SkyFactory 4 since it is a large file. But see, it’s copying all of the files right now; it’s creating the folders, validating everything, downloading forge, and in a few seconds… once it’s done copying the overrides, It should be nearly done. See right now, it says Installing the mods. This is going to take a while. Okay, you can see that SkyFactory 4 is now installed and that the play button is here as well. If we go to My mods packs, we should be able to see Skyfactory in here as well. And we do, at the very bottom. In order for you to play the modpack, you have to click on the play button. If you do not, it will not work. So let’s just say SkyFactory 4, we just downloaded it. We are going to click Play and it’s going to launch the game. And you are going to see the, um, popup. I haven’t played Minecraft in about a while, I have been busy with some school-work. I actually recently graduated by the way! You are going to want to go in here and edit all of your information. I have mine blurred out. But Once you have launched Minecraft and you logged in, you are going to see this button that says PLAY. Before you click PLAY, you should make sure it says, you know, it should say FORGE and, hopefully, it might say the name of your modpack. If it doesn’t, you might have accidentally have clicked in this arrow right here and clicked latest release. If you click latest release, You are not going to be playing the modpack. So, you need to make sure you have the mod installed, the mod pack installed and selected. When you click play, you are going to play like you normally would play minecraft. But, anyways, I really do hope that this helped answer a few of your questions. The biggest thing is you gotta make sure you have Minecraft installed. It has to be the java edition of the game. Uh, mods in Minecraft are written in a scripting language called Java. There are two versions of minecraft, well there is bedrock edition and java edition. Mods on Twitch are written in java, so you have to have a java version of the game for the mods to work. So, that’s the biggest thing I would say to take away from this. And also, the other thing is to make sure you are properly installing the mod packs. Thank you guys so much for your support and all of the comments. I am seeing subscriber count go up, that’s awesome!! I am going to be working on more videos now that i have a lot more time. Having graduated, I have less burdens on my shoulders. So, if you have any questions about do let me know in this video. And I will also link this video in the original video that I had, So hopefully I can get more answers out to you guys. See you later and have fun! Video Information

Why is Minecraft not showing up? I cannot install mods! HELP! Well, if you were asking or saying those things, this video is for you! This is a follow-up video to my previous “Install Minecraft Mods Easily | Twitch Launcher “Mod Review” + Forge” video where I showed you how to install Minecraft modpacks and profiles easily. This launcher is of course the Twitch Desktop App (formerly the curse minecraft mod launcher).
The Twitch App allows you to find, install, and manage thousands of addons for all of your games (including Minecraft!) within seconds. It is the best way to manage all of your Minecraft profiles and is how I choose to play the game. The app allows you to easily manage all of your global Minecraft settings such as RAM usage and default screen resolution.

I hope this video helps address some of the questions I was reading through!
