Mojang has removed the experimental toggle for Third Drop 2026 content in the latest beta, expanded abandoned camps with more campsites and fixes, and delivered dozens of gameplay, UI, and technical corrections.

Mojang pushed Preview 26.50.22 yesterday and immediately made the entire Third Drop 2026 feature set live by default. No more experimental toggle. That means dappled forests, poplar trees with their multicolored leaves, abandoned camps, straw beds, cushions and related blocks are now standard in new preview worlds.
Abandoned Camps Get Real Work
The update modifies existing camps and adds more campsites while fixing cushions spawning inside other objects. Poplar leaves no longer show black pixels in hand on certain graphics settings, shelf mushrooms die properly to lava, and creative inventory ordering for the new items is now consistent.
- Fixed fall damage through one block of water
- Corrected inconsistent end portal eye counts on the same seed
- Projectiles can no longer damage their shooter until they have cleared the vehicle hierarchy
- Bats now spawn in every Overworld biome except Deep Dark
- Armor stands and drowned are harder for hostile mobs to spot while invisible
- Realms download and UI bugs fixed, including a new loading spinner and reload button
The changelog runs long on the technical side. AI components are stricter, new Molang queries arrived, stair and fence block states are exposed for better parity with Java, and a pile of API classes moved from beta to stable. Script debugger now defaults to loopback with a passcode requirement for remote access.
Stability improvements target crashes when messing with world settings, memory leaks from pistons, and UI narration problems. Marketplace wishlist errors now give proper feedback instead of silent failure. Overall it reads like the team is grinding toward a more polished Q3 release.
If you run previews, this one is worth grabbing to test the new forest generation and camp loot without toggles getting in the way. The full list of changes, including every bug reference, lives on the official feedback page.
