Back to our topic, Facebook Gaming streaming in the Philippines. For sure you remember that before there were a lot of streamers who were extremely popular who are no longer in the platform. Why? There are a lot of you who are asking, “Why were the top steamers before like GHOST Wrecker, Elie Gaming, or other popular names no longer Facebook Gaming partners?” In short, the partner badge has disappeared. Their pages just leveled-up. If we go way back to 2018, when Facebook was introduced in the country, the career for the steamers had just started until the numbers grew and grew Especially during the pandemic. This is where the number of streamers really took off. I’m also thankful for this because I was able to help a lot of people through my videos. But why now in 2023 there was a significant drop in the number of streamers or Facebook Gaming partners? Almost 80% are gone, and those that have remained battle for the survival of the fittest. Others have loyal viewers, while for others, we really can’t put a finger on. 80% of the partners, regardless if big or small names, or middle, were removed. But first, what is this “partnership” that I keep mentioning? I’m no longer a partner so I can tell you this now: There are 2 types of partnership in Facebook Gaming since 2018 to 2023. There’s Premium Partnership and Special Partnership (Special Program Partnership, Developmental Program, Skilled Program) Both carry the “partner” badge. But the main difference is that Premium receives a salary every month. The salary has different levels: 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Like what I said, I’m no longer a partner so I can now disclose how much the pay is for each level. Everything is in USD. Level 1 = 500USD Level 2 = 1500USD Level 3 = 3000USD Level 4 = 6000USD Level 5 which was previously at 12,000USD became 9000USD So you do the math how much these are in PHP. That’s how big these Facebook Partners are earning. What about the popular streamers like the ones I mentioned earlier who has a lot of viewers are no longer partners? Facebook Gaming filtered its partners depending on how active they are on streaming. These are the streamers who don’t use cameras because, as you know, I’ve said it a lot of times before, if you want to stream, regardless if you are a novice or well-known, it is necessary to have a camera. This is the first essential tool of a streamer. So if there’s no camera, it would be hard to identify who the streamer is. For example, I, Boss Lucio, is live without a camera. My audience will not be certain if it’s really me or someone else. Now, let’s discuss this other factor why a lot disappeared in the platform. The Quota. If you are being paid, you have to do your part, just like in corporate offices. You need to report for work. It is basically the same concept in Facebook Gaming. You need to report for work. You need to reach a quota. That’s your job as a partner, and in return, you will receive a huge pay. If you can no longer meet the quota, then you know it already. Just like in regular work, you have to be terminated. “But Boss Lucio, what about those others that are very active in streaming, almost everyday– they also have cameras, has viewership–but the partnership got forfeited?” Let me explain: Back in 2018, a company needs hype. Of course every streamer is paid, there’s a lot of money coming in, and when Facebook Gaming is garnering stability, it let to the point that it does not have to pay anymore for viewers to show up. Business is business. Facebook Gaming invested a lot of money for the streamers. Now, it no longer needs to do it because the presence is already felt. Let’s now discuss Twitch Partnership. Facebook Gaming is becoming Twitch now. I’m not saying that in Facebook Gaming is no longer paying its streamers. The premium partnership is still present. But these are the top-tier streamers. Those who reach 400K to 500K in total views. These are the top streamers. They are paid. We also have the middle streamers who reach 800 to 1000 in total views. These are still partners but they do not get paid. That’s what’s happening in Twitch. And that’s what’s happening now in Facebook Gaming. So for you who want to stream, there’s no problem at all. No one is preventing you, Facebook Gaming is not closing its doors to you. Just keep in mind that they have strict requirements for one to be a premium partner. So if you would ask me if Facebook Gaming is already left behind, I would say not really. We’re just in the phase where streamers in our country need to earn. Of course they will migrate where there is money. Sometimes passion becomes neglected to a point where it’s just all about money. So for those who keep streaming regardless if they are being paid or not, it is most likely that streaming is their passion. “Boss Lucio, what do we have to do for us to qualify as an earning streamer from Facebook?” What I’m about to tell you is also being applied to Facebook Gaming. This is what we call Video On Demand Gaming. Also called as VODS Gaming or Gaming VODS. There’s also a partnership here and there are also different salary tiers. In return, you will need to create VODS or contents that you have to upload everyday and you need to reach the quota, Number of views, number of videos per month, and if you can meet these requirements, Facebook will pay you accordingly. Think about it: you’re paid by Facebook, you get stars, you earn from ads. The income is overwhelming. That’s Facebook’s latest system if you would still like to stay in gaming. For me, honestly, if you see my social media, I kind of deviated from gaming already. I entered content creation. I make videos that are funny, like pranks, skits. From a streamer, I’m now what they call a digital creator. Gaming video creator is different from video creator. If you’ll ask for my advice if ever you would leave the gaming streaming industry, you can do VODS, you can do gaming VODS, so that’s it! My final thoughts are: Streaming is definitely not a thing of the past yet. It’s just the general opinion because a lot of streamers are leaving the platform of Facebook Gaming. But worldwide, Facebook Gaming is still one of the top platforms in the streaming industry. Thank you so much everyone! I hope you had an idea from all that we’ve discussed Because I’m getting a lot of messages such as, “Why are the streamers disappearing?” “Why are you no longer streaming?” “Is streaming losing its value?” NO. Not yet. Okay? If you want to be updated on my videos, don’t forget to Like, Share, Comment, Subscribe, and hit that bell button! Again, this is Boss Lucio, your stream coach. Happy streaming!
