In this video I’ll show you how to set up OBS to go and stream on Twitch if you’re new to the Channel please go down below and consider subscribing and once you’ve done that please go down below thanks for leaving a like as well we really do appreciate it and make sure You watch this video right until the end and let’s get right into this here we here we are on my desktop so the first thing you need to do is make sure you’ve gone and downloaded OBS and gone and installed it so all you need to do is Google or just go directly to the website which is obsproject.com and then go and choose which one you want to go and download for which operating system so when you open up OBS for the first time it’s very likely you’re going to have a black screen at the moment it Mine looks like this because I’ve just got a few different scenes so what you need to do is make sure you’ve gone and got a scene here so come to the bottom left and go click on this plus button and go and create one if there isn’t Already one now we need to go and create some sources so sources are what make up a scene and a source is something like your display which is minus is my computer but it could be a webcam but it could be a webcam and your background Windows as well so let’s go and add some so go and click on the plus and then go and add what you want there are so many to choose from so I’m going to go and add display capture press OK and then you can go and choose which monitor you Want I want to use this one personally and then press ok but then you can go and add more sources on top of that so let’s press the add button again and then we can go and add our webcam through A Plus on video capture device then okay Again and then it’s going to go and choose will show you all your devices my webcam’s just looking at my folder at the moment which is why it’s like that I’m going to select that one there press OK and there we go and then you can go And adjust it to whatever you’d like but once again you can go add another source as well for example some text or some media you know you can add anything you’d like and the next resources you’ve got the audio mixer I’ll show you that a little bit more in depth in a moment Because we’ll show you that in the settings so now all you want to do is come over to the control list and go and press on settings and here we go we’re now in the settings so the general page is pretty much sort of up to you none of This is that important for when it comes to actually streaming um with twitch on OBS so then go and press on stream now here you need to make sure you’ve gone and configured the correct service so make sure you’ve got twitch selected and then go and press on connect account so You can go and log in with your account or you can enter a stream key although they seem to recommend connect your accounts maybe do that then it come back to the left hand panel and go and press on output and I recommend going and press you on streaming can use Advanced But honestly simple’s gonna achieve everything you want so let’s go and start right at the top so at the top we’ve got something called video bitrate so I want to go and explain how this works we are going to need to go and know your internet speed for this so go And open up a web browser and go to a website called Speedtest then once you’re on the website go and press go and go and measure your internet speed the important result we need to look at is the upload speeds and as you can see I’m achieving about 19 to 20 so now I’m going to close off of that so now what we need to go and do is go and calculate what bit rate we need usually I recommend having one megabit of upload speed should being 1000 so in my case Because mine is 20 upload speed I could probably go about 20 000 but I recommend having it a bit below that because other people may be using your internet and you may be playing games so in this case I’m just going to use 10 000 as that’s Plenty but in general I recommend this matching it but you can also have it lower just make sure you never exceed it so because I’ve got 20 upload speed I wouldn’t ever go above 20 000 and for the encoder you also vary a little bit depending on your computer but if you’ve Got a Nvidia or AMD graphics card I recommend recommend using the hard Hardware one software x264 tends to be for your CPU but it’s way best in your GPU and the audio bitrate doesn’t really matter and make sure you go and press apply to go and save these settings as Well now let’s go back onto the left hand side I’m going to tap on audio and all you want to do is come down to Global audio devices and you want to make sure you come to mic auxiliary audio and make sure you’ve got the right mic selected personally I use this USB PMP sound device but you may have the wrong one selected or it may even be disabled and then when it comes to desktop audio I recommend having default or just use the output if you want to go and use desktop audio or you can just go And disable it then once again go and press apply let’s come to video now video is actually quite important so when it says base canvas resolution this is going to be talking about this sort of resolution here so this can actually be different to what you’re actually streaming to Twitch for example your Base canvas resolution could be 1080p minus High because my monitor I recommend being 1080p but the output scared resolution I just recommend with twitch it being 1280p 1280p is absolutely fine for twitch and for the downscale filter by cubic’s fine and when it comes to FPS 30 is fine as well 60 isn’t really necessary so for the hotkeys this is going to be up to you but you can go and basically set up a button so you can press a button and you instantly start streaming to Twitch and you can also go and have that to stop it As well as well as changing scenes and things like that so it’s quite cool then let’s come back to the left hand side I’m going to press it Advanced the main thing you want to change here is the color format just make sure it’s nv12 and then go and press apply and that’s Literally it for the settings of course you can go and change these more advanced ones as well but these are the basic ones you need and just before you start streaming I recommend coming over to Twitch to go and configure your stream quickly so come to Twitch and go And sign into your account and go and press your profile picture in the top right and go and press one video producer then this will take you to this page here and what you want to then do is on the Creator dashboard is go and press on home just here um actually you Want to go and put some stream manager and I’ll take a moment to load and then all you want to do is come over to Quick actions and press edit stream info and then you can go and create your title and add a bit more information and then Once you come back to OBS go and press start streaming and then you’re going to go and see your stream here as you can see stream preview if you found this video useful please consider subscribing to the channel leave a like for more peace Video Information
