Mojang Hotfixes World Loading Crash in Bedrock

Mojang Hotfixes World Loading Crash in Bedrock

Patch 26.51 targets the bug that made worlds with dense fence glass pane and wall structures unloadable. The fix landed less than two days after the latest major content drop.

If you updated to the latest Minecraft Bedrock version and suddenly could not load your favorite world because it was packed with connected fences iron bars or glass panes you are not alone. Mojang pushed out update 3.49/1.059 (also labeled 26.51) to kill that crash.

One Bug One Fix

The patch notes are short and surgical. The only change listed is a fix for a crash that could occur when loading a world containing large densely connected structures of blocks such as fences glass panes iron bars or walls.

Shipping an update that stops players from loading their own worlds is rough. At least the response was rapid instead of weeks of radio silence.

This hotfix follows the recent major content release that brought new biomes structures and building options. Complex redstone contraptions or decorative builds using connected blocks were the ones most likely to trigger the bug.

Players on all Bedrock platforms should grab the update immediately. If your world is still stuck the patch should let you load it without issue once applied. No other changes or new features are included which is typical for these rapid response patches.

Just the other day Mojang released the Minecraft Wilderness Bound update across all platforms. Unfortunately that also brought in a few nagging issues. Thankfully Mojang is here to save the day!

The bug tracker entry MCPE-242312 will likely be closed soon. For now the takeaway is clear: Mojang is watching post launch stability closely and acting within a day when a showstopper appears. That is better than the alternative.
