Me Hey what’s going on guys welcome back to a brand new video where today i’m going to be teaching you how to install any type of modpack you want via the twitch launcher so let’s go to get started so the first thing you’re going to want to do is head Over to this link down below in the description it’ll be twitch.tv downloads now do note that you will need to make a switch account in order to access the mod packs so uh just go ahead and create a new account there should be like a thing at the Top where you can either sign in or create an account so you should be able to do that before you head over to this page so well basically there’ll be desktop apps there’ll be twitch app windows switch app for mac and uh all of this stuff basically you Want to go ahead and do switch out for windows because this is the windows tutorial you want to go ahead and select download for windows and it’ll download the twitch setup.exe file right over here so once it’s done downloading uh we’ll go ahead and resume once that happens all right so Once that’s done then done downloading you should have twitch setup.exe over here just go ahead and open this up and it should uh launch this application right over here uh just press the install button it should say installing and validating files obviously you can see i have Already have the icon over here because i had this installed previously but uh it should open up right away once you uh finish it and you should be able to log into your twitch account so now once you have logged into your twitch account you want to go ahead and Head to this section called mods right over here you also want to note that to make sure that you have minecraft installed uh on the same computer so uh that’s basically what you want to do right over here now do note that when you do like shut down your computer And restart it it’ll automatically open up the twitch launcher if you don’t want it to do that basically all you have to do is go into task manager which is right over here go into startup section and you want to go ahead and find the twitch launcher as You can see i already have it disabled but you should be able to right click and it’ll say disable if you have it enabled uh so right over there press disable and that will start up as soon as you open your computer because your computer sometimes uh Start starts up apps uh at when you like first turn it on after you shut it down so sometimes it’ll open up things that you have enabled like as you can see i have a couple of stuff here enabled that i should have disabled but they’re enabled anyway uh this could Also help you save battery life if you’re on a laptop or just help you improve overall performance so that’s just your preference here if you don’t want if you don’t like 50 billion apps starting up when you first load up your laptop or pc for the day You can just go ahead and disable it and it won’t open up when you don’t want it to so anyways back to the app so now you want to go ahead and head into minecraft now obviously i already have two mod packs installed rl craft and sky factory four Uh we can go look up another mod pack i guess that we can install uh let’s see uh we can install farming valley light i guess so we can go click on the mod pack and as you can see there’ll be a purple install button All i got to do is click that and it’ll do its thing install right over here and you can see what it’s doing down below downloading validating manifest files and all that stuff so we’ll go ahead and wait for it to do all that and we’ll be right back All right now once it’s done that done downloading you have a couple of options you could just go ahead and hit play or you can go ahead and configure its settings so the way you configure it settings is by going back to the my my path mod packs Section and click the actual mod pack itself so now as you can see it’ll say overview installed mods races back maps all that stuff you want to click the settings button right over here and click profile options now here in the profile option do you have a couple Of things so you can choose to rename the mod pack to whatever you would like to it to show when you launch the twitch launcher and you can also increase its memory settings now this is depending on what your computer has uh so if you like your current settings of the memory You can just keep it you don’t have to uh set to whatever you want but if you have like a lower end computer and you want to give it more ram then you can go ahead and increase it to whatever you want i just go to the fullest Because it doesn’t seem to make a difference whether i go over here or go over here but if you have a if you have a separate preference that you like you can just uh move the bar and send it to whatever around the amount that you want So then you can also change what forge version you want and what release type you want if you want to access the betas if they have any or any alpha stages or whatever but that’s just up to you that’s just your preferences you don’t obviously obviously you don’t have to Do anything over there but uh that’s just if you want to like increase your performance on the mod pack itself because especially a lot of mod packs like uh ro craft and sky factory for they do require you to have a lot more ram than your computer has Or that your computer allows minecraft to have which i think the default for minecraft is two gigabytes which obviously is not enough for a lot of these mod packs so most of the times you do want to go ahead and change it to uh something else Like at least four gigabytes or more is the minimum that you want to have for servers so just keep that in mind uh anyways but farming valley light seems to be like a pretty straightforward mod pack and doesn’t have too many mods that might make you Lag so you could keep it at two gigabytes i guess but for for popular mod packs like sky factory 4 and rl crafts which have like 200 plus mods yeah you definitely want to make sure that you give it some more ram so anyways let’s go ahead and play and It should launch up the regular minecraft launcher uh something that you do need in order in order to make the mods run so it should say farming valley like forge blah blah blah just hit play and it should load up it should say preparing as if you were to to download vanilla minecraft So uh yeah i’m gonna go right away for this to load and once it loads we’ll be right back and there you go as you can see the mod pack is uh loading up and once it’s done loading you should be able to access the entire mod pack Now obviously some mod packs might take longer than others but uh i just you decided to use this modpack as an example because i didn’t already have an install so uh yeah that’s basically it thanks for tuning in if you enjoyed make sure to like if you liked Uh check out the playlist if you want to catch any other tutorials that may help you install stuff in minecraft or any other games that i guess i would have in the future and all that stuff don’t forget to subscribe as well because we are actually already almost at 100
