Series I’m excited and we need to to set things off right and that means it’s time for some enchanting but but wait not actually so we’re not taking these things over to the enchantment table at least immediately first we need to stop over in our fish farm during the tour I

Was reminded of these two precious little things that I have that I need to put on things so that’s what we’re gonna do we’re gonna take our two mending books and put them on the two items that I have in my inventory one alight surah – so touch pickaxe actually so in my

Opinion silk touch is better than fortune I set it on Instagram a while ago and I got a lot of pushback from that people didn’t like that a thought or opinion so yeah but I think it’s better I like the stone blocks but let’s go ahead and say mending there we need

On breaking on the Elektra as well and then the other mending goes right over here so now we have infinite silk pick and an infinite Elektra as well now let’s talk about the project today we’re doing a big one a highly requested one from a lot of you guys the project

Of course none other than a mob farm today we are changing the skyline out this window and by the end of the episode we’ll have a giant ugly thing in the sky then after one of them coming episodes that ugly thing will become pretty that means today we’re focusing

On the bills and not the aesthetics just the bill die I want to get our whole mob farm in so we have infinite gunpowder that’s the big one I don’t like to use my Electra until I have mending on it which is now checked and then until I

Have a lot of rockets you need Rockets for an electricity cruise around and yep so we’re gonna change that we’re to start using the alight row now before we start actually building the design let’s let’s talk about it a little bit so first why would you want this in your world

Well like I just said gunpowder and other mob drops from this farm we should be getting lots of rotten flesh string gunpowder and bones that means creepers spiders zombies and skeletons will spawn in this farm this thing that we’re going to build is also fully automatic so as long as you’re in

The general vicinity of it if you have your caves lit up properly you should be getting spawns inside of the farm and that means loot so the big reason you want this of course the drops that the mobs drop now let’s talk about the design really quick I did some taking I

Can’t find us particular youtube or who did it first I saw a lot of different people doing it so don’t have any one specific to credit with the invention of the machine but we will be doing ours a little different with our own twist and finally the materials what do we need

Well I’m going to go ahead and fill the shell core box up with a lot of the things that I can think of off the top of my head knowing me I will be forgetting some things on accident so I advise you to check back throughout the

Episode if you’re trying to build this thing to see exactly what we’re using but let me just load up this box with things and then then we’ll talk about the materials well I think I have everything Begg think I’m probably forgetting something these aren’t exact amounts by

Any means but the big things that you’ll need are observers and dispensers so these are the ones crafted with bows some comparators pistons redstone torches hoppers lots of hoppers I definitely need more hoppers building blocks then then just general other supplies and bringing the courts with us

Even though we’re not going too far just in case I need to make more comparators or observers and then the other big thing that I didn’t mention is building blocks you need quite a bit of blocks because we’re making basically a giant spawning platform and to do that we need

Blocks now I’ve been thinking about positioning here in our world and I think over here would be good not about like afk and where do I afk well the afk fish farm which is on the other side of our storage building so that means that this location over here

Would definitely be close enough for the farm to be activated while I am afk which is something I certainly want now we will need to clear out a small area but but not really a big area because the majority of this build is going to

Be way up in the sky all we’re going to really be putting on the ground is a collection building room thing small area where mobs fall and unfortunately died now we need a lot of building blocks and like I said this thing is going to be ugly so we’re not worried

About picking beautiful blocks so we run 64 to start we need to go up let’s say let’s go up 30 blocks from here oh and before we go up we definitely need to make a puddle for us to fall into so we’ll go up and then we’ll jump back

Down into this small one here hopefully I don’t die I don’t think I have my feather falling boots but let’s go all the way up to y94 and make a platform then we can talk about the project and the build and what we’ll be doing today

And here we are y94 but I thought this would be higher so let’s go 10 more – why 104 yeah that’s more like it we have quite a view here I want this thing to be high up in the sky the higher this thing is the closer our collection

Platform will be to the surface meaning we don’t have to dig down into a cave now we need to make a small platform and then a hopper clock we’ll start with our clock that will run the whole machine the whole water system everything without this clock that we’re building

This thing in the sky will be just ugly none nothing more than then ugly now unfortunately I still don’t have slime like I looked and I have zero a grand total of zero slime and that means we can’t do my normal hopper clock my normal hopper clock is a neat Oni in one

And it uses sticky pistons two of them so unfortunately no go sad me but it’s okay we have a workaround I did some research and we’re going to find out if the research was adequate and if I can remember what I built no I think we do comparators coming out of the hoppers

Just like that ah yep and then we do a block and a block and excuse my redstone please on on cobblestone I know maybe we’ll come back and fix it probably not but maybe you never know so then we do torches on these blocks like that then finally we

Need our pistons plain old pistons and they need to be facing inwards above the torch like directly so there and same thing over here all right looking cool now we need a redstone block so crafting table you’re coming with me and dust one no no I think we

Need two blocks for this design and we also need things that these pistons can push so planks so plank there then we do redstone plank a redstone and then we’re going to need another blank in there but now we need to load our hopper up with

Things to make this this clock work so we place some items in it ah we can place that there and then the items are going to start moving back and forth once they get to a certain point this clock should turn on yep there we go and

It will push these blocks in the middle back and forth that’s all we need that’s our whole redstone clock mechanism now we need some wires coming out of that thing so we have blocks that have a state change now yes these blocks kind of have a state change they’re moving in

An observer would observe the change but this is how I’m doing it you know you know I have to do it this way now it is nighttime so can we sleep and not fall let’s find out if we’re gonna fall to our death or if we’re gonna wake up yep

We wake up happy okay good so now that this thing is done we can actually start building the machine or the farm itself to build the farm itself we need observers and dispensers and and and a lot of building blocks which can actually be slabs so you

And that your money that I will be using slabs because it’s cheaper so you know why not so we want to start with an observer looking down at our clock looking down we’ll try it again at our no looking down at the clock just like that so this observer is staring at the

Redstone and will notice when it changes but we don’t really need this all happening right now this is a noise machine so we’re turning it off although this is coming with me we’ll turn the clock thing back on later so we have an observer looking at something that is

Changing it could be these blocks it could be a wire like I’m doing now on top of the observer we need a dispenser facing up just like that then it’s out of the dispenser we will place a water bucket but not quite yet because I am

NOT a fan of accidents now we need to start building our first of many platforms this platform it needs to be seven blocks out in every direction from the center point so one two three four five six seven and then again in all of the other directions then after we have

Our giant plus in the air we need to fill in the corners so the corners just connect diagonally so that means you just kind of go out like I’m doing here and fill everything in so we have basically a diagonal square in the sky if that makes sense we’re just basically

Making a big flat platform now if you’re using slabs definitely make sure you put them on the top half of a block and not the bottom half because we want mobs to spawn on this thing eventually if you use the bottom half of the block mobs

Can’t spawn the bottom half of a block but go ahead and fill this in and these slabs can be anything you could use I don’t know wood cobblestone like I’m doing stone or you could use prettier things and even full blocks that would work too but I am into the idea of

Cheeping out on this part because we’re never gonna see it eventually I’m planning on putting a giant encasing around this platform and we won’t see it we’ll see the pretty outer shell and the inside will just be dark now we need to make sure I did it

Right so right here that’s not right we got to fix that we definitely want a diagonal and then you can test it so place water directly in the middle and if it goes out to the edges and not over the edges you’re perfect if it doesn’t go to the edges looks like

You did something wrong so that is wrong and it probably is going over the edge right did it I don’t think it did hmm all right we’re good now it was just a small mistake so there you go that’s platform one now what do we do well

Pretty much the same thing over and over again as many times as you want you could do this 20 times you can do it two times if you’d like I am going to do this I think nine times why nine because I like the number nine

There’s no reason but to start your next platform you want an observer looking down again at where the water is going to be placed so this can be a little tricky observer please look No okay hmm how could we do this let’s get creative

Watch watch this this is how we do it in 1.14 let’s let’s go here we place a trapdoor uh-huh we stand in it oh okay we’re still crawling now take a look at me observer looking down oh oh no I thought I thought that would would work

It would have been cool but I guess joke’s on me all we needed to do all along is that there you go so you have an observer looking down at the water and it will detect a block stay change when the water is released so that’s all

We need now after the observer yeah you play Sutton upward-facing dispenser again and repeat its floor time again so you go out seven blocks and fill it all in so basically mirror what you just did as many times as you want do keep in mind

That you will need a way down from this thing as well and keep in mind that this platform is going to get dark down here that you built we will be pulling it out eventually but I definitely recommend placing some torches on it so you don’t

You know jump back down and then all of a sudden you have creepers and and it’s bad and you’re sad so now light it up rip it out whatever you want and it doesn’t really matter but be very careful because we’re working up in the sky and that means you can fall you

Don’t want to fall if you fall you’ll die I hate to say it but if you fall you’ll die so just be careful another thing that you should be aware of is the fact that your platforms are going to darken as you build more on top so you

Can go ahead and light them up if you want em but you don’t really have to do that immediately now another thing that I’ve mentioned but I didn’t really go over is the water bucket and the dispenser so you will want one in each and every dispenser you can do that

Lasty or you could do it now if you want I don’t have the water quite yet so I’m going to do that last we’ll climb back up here and and do it that way that might be a dangerous idea but that’s how I’m gonna do it so that’s that’s that’s

Been decided it has been decided that we will do it that way and I will be brave braver than any other person you’ve ever seen I might die in the process but at least I was brave so filler observer dispenser boom true speed filler observer dispenser filler observer

Dispenser another thing to note is the ground the ground is possibly going to get pretty dark as well like below your thing that you’re building so consider lighting it up you don’t have to it’s all optional now look I have not been making scaffolding because I I don’t

Have a string farm I need to find a cave spider spawner or a just a spider spawner but but but but I think scaffolding would help quite a bit and we do have some strength I don’t think I need any more string for this project so this could be a goofy idea but

We’re going to go ahead and make ourselves at least 40 scaffolding we should be getting some string from this farm so it’s worth a gamble so scaffolding where are you there you are my friend okay so I think we need seven total there we go that’s good and

You know you know you know we’re down here so we might as well oh wait oh ok nevermind it was a different pot we might as well go ahead and I get our water buckets going oh yeah so we have a four in right now we may not do all nine

I don’t know if nine is going to be over well you know nine might be overkill but that’s four so far but it’s time to scaffold all the way up so we don’t need this water thing anymore so we can go no that’s not you do it how do you do it

Again no okay no like that no ooh this stuff that’s ooh here you go no okay there we go that’s the way to do it look at that haha and we are all the way up so now the only way down is this that’s perfect for now that’s good oh I should have

Been more to go up and down between the floors oh well and just so you guys know I oh whoops we’re gonna put the water buckets in right now as I go back up to the level I was on I think it would just be something that makes sense so as I go

Up placing water buckets in my dispensers you will need to do this to the water is how we will be moving the mobs off of these platforms so don’t forget the buckets they’re very important all right well I I decided that six is our magic number we will

Stop at six platforms partially because look at the clouds are like right here the cloud height doesn’t mean anything you can go past the clouds or through them it’s really doesn’t mean anything but I’d like to stop here now we need to do a roof on this build and this is

Where you can go one of two ways you could do a whole slab roof just just go out over this platform but slap seem to be bugged sometimes and let light through which is a problem so what am I going to do well I am going to

Do solid blocks and then torches all over the roof of this thing because you don’t want any spawns appear if mobs spawn on top of this farm they will idle around we don’t have a way to rinse them off of it and that’s a big problem so

I’ll be doing solid blocks but you could use slabs if you do slabs put them on the lower half of the block so mobs won’t spawn on it now this platform needs to be a little different as well so our Center is here and we will need

To go seven blocks out but we’ll have to actually continue going out past those seven now I it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these things and I don’t have an exact number for you so sorry the goal here is to create a pitch-black area on these platforms which is going

To actually create a dangerous thing but yeah we need total darkness here so I’m going to go ahead and say we need to go I don’t know maybe probably let’s go double let’s go double the platform so we’ll go and set of seven we’ll go 14 out from the middle and and

Fill it all in again so a giant you know like diagonal squares so go ahead and do that next and I don’t forget lighting on top or slabs on top if I’m being honest we will probably tear this whole roof thing off as soon as we get to the

Aesthetics of the build because I have a whole different idea if you’re going to make your build look pretty and like encase it in something like almost completely or whatever you do then you don’t really need to do a roof like this doing a roof like this is basically the

Easy but ugly way of doing things this is a lot faster of course I’m making the whole farm look good but it also looks a whole lot worse and that’s something that you know I kind of don’t like so let’s take a look and see if this is

Actually working our light level needs to be oh it is working that’s perfect okay so we have a light level of I think seven right here I can’t really tell us this light zero on the block which is weird but this is seven which means this would be six if I

Had finished that and then five four which is good if the light level is seven or below mobs will spawn that’s exactly what we want all right so the roof is finished now we need torches lots and lots of torches I don’t need anybody dive-bombing me off the top of

This roof even if it is temporary this is definitely more than good enough now we need to work our way back down through this farm down to the surface and we need to make sure it’s all closed off but our lighting looks pretty good

In here so we should be good so let’s go ahead and go back down oh oh and I’d like to just double-check all of our dispensers on the way down just just to make sure you can never be too safe and from the sounds of it I hear a zombie

Already so that means our farm is already spawning things which is an amazing sign oh we’re getting close I can hear them they’re getting louder this is gonna be this is gonna be dangerous okay guys don’t shoot me off the side you all there’s a creeper oh

That’s not good you gotta go creeper no oh no oh man great burger no this farm can get dangerous by the way okay so we got our do some repairs already at least I didn’t die though at least I didn’t die now I ran out of

Cobblestone so you guys never saw any of this right here you don’t even know about this here okay all right it’s between us so here’s what our farm looks like from a ways away we we have mobs inside of it and it is certainly working so now the next step after placing your

Roof on the build and making sure it’s all nice and bright you should start to hear a lot of spawns so you’ll definitely have to be careful from this point on alternatively you could we’ll hold off on putting the roof on it until we’re completely done but it’s too late for that now

Okay now basically in short below all of your platforms you’ll need another platform to catch all of the mobs and then on this caching platform you will be placing water to move your mobs over to the center where they will fall and at the bottom you’ll have a small hopper

Collection area if you have loads of iron you could skip this whole step and just place tons of hoppers on the ground below this farm and and that would work but I don’t have that much iron now this is the part where I am differentiating from what you should be doing because um

Oh no you’re not pushing me off nope mm-hmm but I want this farm to be a circle so I’m going to try my best at creating a circle in here I think this is the shape that I want and it should work and then I’m going to fill it in

With red terracotta blocks because those are prettier than cobblestone but unfortunately I’m out of red terracotta up here so I have to go back over to the storage room and see if I have any more I think I do and then come back and finish this all up so this is the part

Of the build where I am switching things up quite a bit and if you’re building along or if you’re building this this part is not going to match up exactly you don’t need to create a giant circle below your farm that’s what I’m doing for aesthetics and oh well hi oh oh

Jungle saplings mmm but five her molds no thanks buddy I don’t have good luck with junk well you know what fine fine fine fine we’ll do one we’ll see if one jungle sapling is going to be enough to get more jungle saplings that was the gamble we’ll have to explore about next

Episode for now jungle sapling is valuable right there Terra Cotta we’re close if you care about aesthetics I definitely recommend choosing a permanent floor block on this stuff like what I’m doing with Terra Cotta but with whatever you want to keep there because once you put water on these

Blocks that’s going to be annoying to rip it Foley out if that’s what you’re doing so think carefully about what blocks you’re using here and when you do this you definitely will want a ledge around the whole platform as well because that will prevent water from falling backwards off of this thing

You definitely don’t want water to spill off the sides the goal is to have it all move towards the middle Well respawn my bad was missing I died a skeleton jumped down and shot me right when I was platforming so I wanted to mark her world spawn anyways but ouch okay well I am going to get back recover my materials and then head to the Mesa

That is our third death in the world that hurts ow ouch I need a boat I need to sail high gotcha alright well off to the Mesa oh okay okay okay okay well the floor is in finally and I got smart I decided to turn on the farm

So then mobs can’t spawn because if the water is in yeah mobs funny doesn’t happen now it’s working it’s it’s definitely working but we need to get water in here water needs to fill up pretty much the whole floor we have to have water pushing everything towards

The middle so this is where things are going to get tricky because honestly I’m not sure how did you know how to do this I know that I will probably want water sources all the way along that one side but then it’s like a matter of like

Where do the other sources go like I do they put one there and I I don’t know because things can’t push backwards so that’s going to be a little bit of messing around on my part and trying to figure things out but it should be a

Little more calm oh and and by the way at this point in the build you can definitely remove the excess blocks around all of your your whole hopper setup thing you don’t really need these sitting there anymore but also also on that note remember the mobs can spawn on

Some of these blocks and you definitely want like slabs over your your whole clock here so you don’t have those spots I think I got it already that was really short so here’s what I came up with well do water sources all the way along the

Flat side then we’ll do one over here on the two side so then again over here on this two side and then wherever there is a like a backwards flowing water source so right here I think is the the spot we can do that is that how I did it I know

I have two over there hold on alright so I did there and there no oh yeah yeah I did there in there and then I place one more water source there perfect so that’ll move everything to the middle five by five then below this I could drop down and do another little water

Funnel to move everything to a three by three or I could just deal with a five by five and honestly I I think that’s what I’m going to do I’m just going to deal with a five by five it’s not that big of a deal now of course ideally I

Would want a three by three because it’s smaller right like plus hoppers but but I I’m sure also spiders couldn’t maybe clogged up a three by three so we’re just gonna go with a five by five that should be fine a little more hoppers but hey it’s okay I can definitely afford it

So all of the water moves to the middle now all that I need to do is a slabs around the edge here so we don’t have any spawns because if spawns happen on these they could like wander off the platform fall down and like blow me up

Which is definitely not good so well put slabs everywhere okay so the waters in the slabs are in everything’s good now we can talk about the very final part of this farm which is good so we’re on y100 right now we need to drop our mobs at least 24 blocks to make sure

They they fall and die now we’re gonna probably want a little bit of extra room there just to be sure the mobs with Armour also fall and die so we’re on Y 64 that would be 36 blocks if we put a collection thing on the surface and I I it’s my guess that

That’ll be fine so we need a 5 by 5 of hoppers centered around I think the middle would be right is this the middle no or one off this is the middle so a 5 by 5 of hoppers 2 centered around this going into a collection chest pretty

Simple we just need to get the iron which I have some of in my inventory here and then the chests now to be clear doing it this way is going to be expensive you will need 25 hoppers which is over a stack of iron but if you have

The iron like I do 5×5 is and the end of the world by by any means ah this thing looks so cool by the way like I don’t know I’m really happy with how this thing ended up but that one block I didn’t think I would be able to see it

And it’s gonna bother me but it’s okay we’re gonna have something else around this thing soon we won’t be able to see all the cool platforms and the mobs on it but I think what we’re gonna do is gonna be a little cooler so it’s okay

I’m just waiting for iron to smelt up by the way so I can make the 12 more hoppers that I need I only need 12 left well okay let’s go ahead and place the rest of her hoppers in then we need to climb all the way up to the top of this

Farm activate the hopper clock and then dig the whole floor out we’ll come back for the final offer after we we finish up top because I don’t want to have to to dig out the scaffolding and replace it so ya know let’s see how many visitors are waiting

Me up here I I hope there’s not too many hopefully okay good nobody’s waiting which means we can start this thing so we need items in it I’m going to place a stack and we’ll see if the timings right hopefully it is now things are gonna start to fall

I think yep things are falling so we need to dig this floor out because they will be moved to the middle and then they’ll fall all the way down hopefully under our hoppers but no no you go you go now we need to watch the farm and see

If this is gonna move is this moving is it well you know it’s gonna probably be slow oh it’s not I put it in the locked one okay there we go that’s gonna move back and forth right yes I think it is okay let’s get down from this thing and

Give it a look we’ll see if it’s gonna work can we jump from here yeah definitely okay pull that out and place our final hopper here and wait our mom’s gonna rain down or do I have to go back up huh they’re raining down I think yeah our

Mom farm is working oh yeah okay so all of our drops will get moved into there that’s pretty crazy that’s from one little cycle and what’s gonna happen is the water is going to turn on and off on some of the layers and this is where we

Have to talk about timing so we have a hopper clock and it will switch back and forth depending on how many items I have in inside of it now we need our hoppers to release the water long enough to push mobs off of platforms but not too long

Because if there’s standing water mobs won’t be able to spawn so I think we’ll have to mess with timings but right now we actually seemed to have something that’s actually working for us and now the water is not all properly synced but that’s fine the

Water can be on on some of the floors and then on the other floor so it can be off and the mobs will spawn and then when things switch back some of the other floors will be on and mobs will start spawning so I think that’s the whole farm and and pretty much

Everything and now we just need to watch the rates which is the next thing that I’d like to mention so in between episodes I will absolutely be afk this time at our afk fish farm to sort of of course fish for more mending books but also to recuperate the levels

That I lost and to test this farm out now I will be making one modification and that is putting a wall around it for now I guess we can do dirt not the pretty as well but I don’t want mobs you know falling and then walking around

Everywhere well come back in one of the coming episodes and make this prettier but for now I think this wall will be insanely functional it’s so there we go I’ll come back in place like stairs above the chest so I can use it but I think this farm is certainly working
