Create Above and Beyond Alchemy Guide

Hello wild here um i did i felt like um when going into alchemy for create above and neon there’s not that much reference to look at when it comes to knowing what you’re doing and it could be pretty confusing i mean i figured it out on my own pretty easily

There’s wonderful stuff in the gut in the guidebook um but for the most part um it’s it’s not so straightforward as you might think it it looks extreme well it is pretty straightforward but it looks extremely confusing when you don’t know what you’re doing so i’m gonna go over all the parts of

Alchemy and how you’re gonna make it through um this part of the alternative path for chapter four so the goal here um if you’re if you’ve played the pack is to get your silicon region so the silicon region is well it’s a region just like all these

Other ones for example we got an obsidian region we got goldenrod which is yellow dad we got stone we got diorite we got over here we got copper we got zinc we got sulfur there’s a lot of different ones and the purpose of alchemy is we’re transmuting now every

Seed transmutes item these regions differently um but there’s two main parts to alchemy first there’s getting all the catalysts up to the chaos catalyst so the way this works is for there there’s a lot of these right but each one’s in groups six so down here we got our stones our igneous regions

And those when we find the right combination make the igneous catalyst now there’s six more catalysts one for each group and then there’s the chaos catalyst which you make with those six once you have the chaos catalyst you get into stage two of alchemy which is every

Region turns into a different region one to one um so yeah there’s a lot of stuff you can do with that but let’s look at some of them let’s look at some of the machinery first you’re going to need so first up we got a tinker smelter this is pretty

Early game you could probably use a smelter if you wanted to but you need to get glass into the fluid encapsulator now the fu fluid encapsulator is pretty cheap compared to the the rest of these so in order to make it you need your redstone coil which is just redstone and gold

Then you also need copper gears which is copper and iron nuggets bucket glass and bar machines now these are all locked behind finishing chapter 3 because you need that and those invar machines to get it but from there it’s quite straightforward um centrifugal separator this one is

Probably the hardest one to make out of the three of these because it needs signalum gears other than that and it needs the same stuff for this zinc and a compass pretty easy but signal them in order to make that you need signal them um fractioning still now stabilized

Redstone is something you’ve probably automated already if you’re in chapter four because it’s pretty important in order to get through chapter two to get it at least some way to make it done um and the fractioning still itself is pretty cheap it’s copper invar gears are probably the most expensive part of

It but because just getting the centrifugal separator takes all that that’s the hardest part in my opinion now if you didn’t want to go for the centrifugal separator there’s an alternate way you could go about alchemy without it but i wouldn’t recommend it and i’ll go over that later um then

There’s the region extractor now this is what you’re going to need in the end to get your silicone cone or you don’t need to use alchemy for silicone if for example you find a way to turn andesite into diamond and you want to make a diamond farm out of that

Do that that’s your thing to do that’s that’s what you do with alchemy it’s what you make it and it doesn’t it’s not always the best in every seed like sometimes you’ll need diamonds in order to get silicon and that’s not efficient so you go the normal wrap for

Chapter four it’s all about that seed because if you’re in a bad seed it’s not worth it for alchemy that’s that’s the biggest risk in alchemy if you’re unlucky it’s all work it’s all worthless i mean it’s not all worthless because nonetheless you could find um you could turn yellow dye into

Emeralds and have infinite emeralds or something like that but nonetheless there is good parts and bad parts of alchemy and i feel the biggest one is you could go through all the work just to find your silicon region is like you need it to have appetite or

Blaze rods in order to make it so now let’s get into the actual alchemy part so in order to perform actual alchemy you’re going to need a deployer set to the punching mode invar machine and a laser lamp on the front now if you look into the miss there’s actually a ponder for

This added in by um create and it’s pretty self-explanatory when the deployer activates you punch it in the mine cart and stuff in the mine cart gets transmuted so for let me let me just show you how this goes so first we’re going to take the fluid encapsulator fill it up with

Molten glass and from there we can get some of these important things so let’s say we wanted to do the stones so we’re going to take some stone well we’re going to take some i think in this one we have to use cobbled let’s take some cobblestone some andesite cobblestone some granite cobblestone

And some gabriel cobblestone now the other two are black stone and diorite but this should be good enough to approve points so you can use this in order to make these regions um it’s one to one for that but it’s not one to one to take them out

So we’re just going to take some of these and i’m just gonna show you off some alchemy um this is a bit complicated but for the most part it’s not all you need to know is that in order to get these regions let’s say right now we’re working on getting our

Igneous catalyst so what we’re going to do is we’re going to make a ton of these they’re very cheap it’s not that hard um and in total i’d suggest you only really need about 12 or so of each catalyst of each region in order to figure out

The catalyst and then the same from there once you figure out the catalyst you probably only need 12 of each of those but i do recommend playing around with the catalysts early um maybe just make four of one and put them all in and see if you get a match because that

Could save you a lot of time um in my playthrough i did that with igneous um metallurgic and crystalline and i found there was no igneous in it but we had three crystallines and one metallurgic and from there i was able to figure out my recipe for the chaos catalyst and

That’s the first step so first step let’s let’s do some stuff and the order does matter you can have duplicates so if i put stone and the site endocyte granite or if i put stone andosite granite on the site it’s going to give me a different

Result so let’s just put this random one in so right here we have stone andesite granite andesite let me make a duplicate just so i can prove something so from here we take it to the not the region extractor but we take to the centrifugal separator and we’re

Going to put it in and see what it tells us about it so from this we’re gonna learn certain aspects about it um and for this one specifically let’s see we got one glowstone and one redstone which means we know that at least one of them was in the right position

And one of them was in the wrong position but was correct so then there’s also these two things this is the redstone and glowstone accelerator now these are a little bit expensive not not so much on the redstone one you just need signal them which is pretty easy um as we went over

It’s just fractioning still with the stabilized redstone this one’s fraction fractioning skill still the with um energized glowstone which is just glowstone in the magma crucible which is pretty easy to get actually um i’m pretty sure i i mean i didn’t make one so i don’t know but

What these do is you can choose one or the other and use it to like let’s do this one again stone and a site and granite stone and a stone endocyte granite and a site let’s get more anti-site ones and granite ones because i don’t remember what it was um

So we had stone andesite granite and a site and this time let’s throw in a glowstone accelerator now this one is going to prove to us at least the existence of one of these because we got glowstone from that we can use this this is

Expensive by the way if you have a lot of these especially for ones like diamonds maybe you want to use these but for stone i just say brute force it go through figure out which ones you do do a little bit of problem solving it’s not too hard to

Figure out it only takes about for me i think i figured it out on my like sixth or seventh try for igneous but then for other ones like the metallurgic or the crystal or the crystalline it could take up to a lot of tries um

I think it took me probably like a whole page and then like two more lines in my book um i do recommend taking a book to write things down especially if you’re not recording because it could be very easy to forget what was in your alchemic blend once you turn into dust

So this time let’s use that glowstone accelerator and that’s going to let us know which one is in the right spot okay so it looks like the stone region was in the right spot so we know that out of all these stone is correct so we know that stone’s the correct one

Which means stone goes in the first slot sorry that’s what i meant to say because stone was in the first line it stayed so from there we could do let’s let’s also try it with the redstone one so we do stone ran it wait a stone and a sight grant in

It the site i think we did stone and the psych granite on the site so let’s do the same one again but this time we put the redstone one now this one’s going to tell us which one is correct but it’s in the wrong position so from

There looks like we kept the andesite so we know there’s one andesite in it or two no it’s one because we only got one redstone dust but pretty much you’ll use these methods to figure out how much of each is in it so for every glowstone you get from this

Obviously if i put that in we’re going to get the same one but like let’s just say um we want to see if there’s any gabriel in it so we put all four gabriel and then we’re going to check so we could do all four gabriel this is

One method you could use if you just want to go through a lot but you could get it much faster through other means if you’re lucky so this is all gabbro so this is going to tell us if there’s any gabbro and how much and no matter what if there is gabra we’re

Going to get a glowstone but if we get a redstone okay we got ash which means no gabbro is in this and so we use all those methods to find that secret formula as you have it and from there we get the catalysts now the catalysts um like let’s say i played

Around with these six i figured out which ones go in the right order um i could actually do that right now but it would take a while so i’m not gonna but let’s say we want we got our catalysts now and we’re gonna test out um let’s say let’s say let’s try

Two igneous and two crystalline and see what happens okay we’ve got mundane alchemic blend and now we’re gonna do the same thing it’s the same exact process but with catalysts instead of um the actual stuff um regions so from here let’s see so two redstone

That means two of them were right but in the wrong place so same thing you do you could use these if you want they’re very optional they’re not too expensive if you have the right setup um and from there once we get the right combination of those six we get the

Chaos catalyst and that brings us into the second phase of alchemy this one’s much easier in terms of how much you’re going to consume you’re just going to need a few of each and sometimes you might get lucky and find it within one of the first tries

So let’s say we want to figure out what crimson turns into now there is an issue with this alchemy is not perfect you will lose stuff i recommend trying at least five whenever you do it um that way you always get some output but like let’s take five crimson

And we get two stone now we know those two match up which means if we also got stone vice versa it would turn into crimson and you always lose some when you do this and on top of that let’s say now that we got stone we’re automating red dye for

Whatever reason and so now we’ve got our crimson regions so we’re gonna put let’s put eight of them in here so this is going to extract what’s in it from it and this is going to give us red dye but it’s not perfect now as you can see here

If we’re extracting it has 75 percent chance of success which means like right there we didn’t get one there so we’re not gonna get perfect on our the how much we’re extracting from it so that’s we do lose a lot in alchemy we lose from converting and we lose from um extracting but

There’s one other thing we can do and that’s silicon that’s the main purpose of this um and this one i happen to know it’s gabbro so one so basically what you’re going to do is the chaos catalyst isn’t consumed you’re just going to stick a bunch of different things in it like

Go through each each one of these and see what each one makes like let’s try olive for example all of makes aquatic which means aquatic makes all of which means you don’t need to make all of these you only need to make half them to find every combination

So let’s try the gabbro we can put a whole stack of it in if we wanted to and we do that and we got silicon now this is our this is our struck gold kind of deal because the whole purpose of this is to get silicon and

Depending on how easy it’s to get um you might want to do this instead of the main line for automating silicon production because for chapter 4 if you look at these so you’re going to need this and these only take printed silicon which is easy to make um

So if you can easily make that silicon it can save you a lot of time because let’s say we weren’t doing it the way with alchemy which would be extracting it instead of doing that oh it’s also 100 i guess um we would have to go through ice

Charges which is blues cubes which is alchemy anyways you need to use the alchemical laser no matter what but this is you need to automate snowballs you gotta automate blizz cubes you gotta automate blizz powder and then you gotta automate it turning into wait no you gotta automate it

Going into ice charges into this and then the silicon stuff itself is a whole complicated process with the basalts and the sand stuff so there’s a lot of stuff you gotta automate but in this seed for this world all we need is gabbro and we could easily do that because if

You don’t know you can make gabriel quite easily all you need is to make sand put it in the melter fuel that with coal which you probably already have put it into a fluid encapsulator with glass bring that into the mine cart shoot it a few times laser

By few i mean one don’t shoot it a few times or it’ll turn back to gabbro and then um you put it in the extractor get out your silicon you press it down into the printed silicon and you’re done you just need to do that last process so that’s pretty much why

Alchemy is so great the issue though is not every seat is equal you could have one where prismarine it’s almost impossible to almost impossible to automate because you would literally need a guardian farm or you could do the silver route and do that some of them you might actually

Have silver as it because one of them that doesn’t fit in with all of them is silicon so i didn’t mention this but silicon and um silver are the two that you can’t um you can’t get them um you don’t use them for this process i mean you don’t use them to make

Catalysts and silver the thing with silver is you can’t turn it back into money so it’s not too useful but it means that if silver links up with something better you can turn money into that so let’s say like your silicon um is silver that’s great you could

Literally set up any farm put it through the market and get silver regen into silicon region which is wonderful um so that’s pretty much it it’s not too complicated again the most complicated stuff is um making your catalysts and just to prove how simple it is we’re gonna make it right now we’re

Gonna make whatever catalyst we need we’ll figure this out so this is you can click off if you don’t care but this is just like i’m going to show off this this works for not just the catalyst but also any pair of regions in the same category um

So let’s do this i bet this won’t take too long um so we already know let’s well let’s take out the ks catalyst because that’s the goal so let’s make a chaos catalyst let’s say we’ve already done this or or we didn’t do this we could pretend that these are actually the andesite

Diorite granite stone basalt and gabriel or the six colors nonetheless it doesn’t make a difference they’re all randomized for every seed so is the silicone one all the swaps between them are randomized so what i’m showing you here isn’t going to be the same in your seed

Most likely unless you have the same exact seed so let’s say we want to try out let’s try it all crystalline see if there’s a crystalline there okay so let’s then throw it in the separator so this is all crystalline i’m gonna do this because i’m in

Creative mode just so i don’t need to write it in a book i can look at it and then see it the results let’s see we got one glowstone which means one of them is crystalline from there we can narrow it down let’s do half them crisp well from there

Let’s also check another one first let’s check volatile is there any volatile in the recipe for chaotic catalysts let’s see what’s the wrong one so we’re testing that one now let’s see what happens none so that means there’s no volatile so we can use it to narrow it down so

Let’s do the two crystalline and two volatile and what we’re doing here is because we know that um there’s one crystalline and we know there’s no volatile this will tell us if um if we get redstone it means that it’s in one of the two last slots if we get

Glowstone it means it’s in one of the two first slots so that’s pretty helpful if you wanted to you could also use arguments to make this faster especially when you’re going into the automation of it all it’s very helpful glowstone so it’s one of the first two so that from there let’s do

Crystalline and all volatile let’s see if it’s this one if it’s not we know that it’s that second spot if it is we know that it’s that first spot glowstone so we know it’s that first spot so in our code we already know one of them it’s crystalline and we also

Know there’s no more crystalline or volatile in it so it’s from it’s these four left and we could do the same thing with these um just for the sake of it let’s do this something like this it doesn’t matter what order you do i’m

In if you do them in if you use more of the same it’ll take longer but you could be much more it’s much less hard to understand i’d say is a good way to put it it’s easier to understand when you’re doing it this way where or like this way

Where you’re just narrowing it down perfectly but that takes much more regents two of these are right metallurgic metallurgic gemstone igneous so what we’re doing here is let’s try something that’ll narrow it down more so metallurgic metal allergic gemstone let’s try metallurgic metallurgic into volatile also this will hurt if you’re in

Survival mode do not stand near the explosion let’s see what we get here so metallurgic metallurgic volatile volatile this is going to tell us if we get one glowstone it means one of them nope okay so that means that we know the second two of it is going to be gemstone igneous

Gemstone and igneous now let’s also check if there’s more of them so gem we know gemstone and igneous are the last ones but let’s also try gemstone igneous for the first two and if we get glowstone or redstone on either one it means that we know the last one if it doesn’t it

Means we don’t know anything more but it’s fine so this is gemstone igneous gemstone igneous so we just copied this over twice sorry if i lost any of you guys okay so we got the two which means that this isn’t either of those which means it’s either going to be

Metallurgic or herbal so let’s try herbal first um so let’s try the exact recipe this will definitely give us either so because of this we know it’s either this or it’s metallurgic there so we’re going to try that a we got it so now that we did that we know that um

We know exactly how to make it now so we could do it again although you only ever need one chaos catalyst so don’t worry about them don’t worry about losing it you just need one per automated line so let’s say now that we’ve got that we

Got our gabbro we figured out what it was and we could just automate it we send a bunch of gabbro into the mine cart we shoot it with the laser we get the region out we throw it in here we get our silicone we press it down and we make our

Calculation mechanisms and we make our logic processes for applied and energetics and we make our me systems and we melt them down into the liquefied logic in which we turn into the math symbols which we melt down into the into the liquefied logic and we turn into numbers and that’s pretty much how

You get through the game so no matter what you really want a lot of silicon and you really want a lot of the mechanisms from previous chapters but that’s it that’s really all there is to this it’s quite simple so i think that’s where we’re gonna end this um

I think i covered everything there’s probably one or two things i missed um redstone and glowstone accelerators are more so a bit cheaty but but they’re very worth it if you have the materials um there’s a lot of these remember although the main purpose of this in the

Pack is to get silicone you don’t need to only get silicone if you find that you could turn goldenrod into let’s say you find you can turn goldenrod into hopper and you want to make a copper farm do it make sunflower bone meal send it in the

Minecart zap it and get some copper send it to the extractor and get infinite copper that’s what you should do this is a very fun pack because of that this pack you can make whatever you want to in it and that’s the glory of this modpack and

Stuff added although it would make adding more mods of pain um but it’s a really unique system and i think more mod packs need to do stuff like this and add their own systems that could pretty much be an entire mod of themselves um so yeah
