Creatures and Beasts hidden features! Bit-By-Bit 1.18 Minecraft mod

Ever wanted to ride a sky whale take a friend along with you on an adventure perhaps even have an earlier game trident style weapon or cast magical spells that can heal yourself or allies well look no further welcome to the mischief i’m valen and this is creatures and beasts

Let’s start off with the grieb typically found in rivers doing a little paddle you might find some of these little greaves these are super cute little ducks that also have cute little flapping feet that well they have a really awesome family option if you offer them a little bit of

Some fresh fish that has not been uh cooked they may make a little baby grib which then will ride on one of the adults backs quite often found in jungles or deserts you might find cute little lizards hiding in the underbrush some of them not quite as happy as

Others well not to worry you can cheer them up by offering them apple slices which are simply just crafted apples you can make them happier and by offering them such treats you can also encourage them to breed they come in a wide variety as well and you may find

Different colors in different biomes depending upon where you travel these are just a small sample of them and feeding them enough of these apples you may see a little bit of activity in this case it’s doing a little bit of a dig whether it be on sand or in the dirt

This is where they will then create a little nest and have one or several eggs laid in place as is with the case with turtle eggs you can only pick these things up with a silk touch pick and thankfully standing on them will not actually do any harm or damage

Once you grab this you can pick up a few and instantly attempt to harvest or hatch these with a pretty good chance of actually getting a baby to appear but not always you’re more likely guaranteed if you just let these wait over time and grow into their

Little baby versions which there is a little bit of an incubation period but it’s not too bad as there are several varieties of these there’s also an easy way to pick them up and that is with a net a little bit of string some sticks

And you have it a way of just grabbing a lizard and putting it directly in your inventory and taking it with you and sometimes exploring you may never know what you might find out in the swamps you may find a few different varieties of creatures some of which might be mini

Pads and lily tads they look very similar but have a little bit different of use you can in fact actually walk on top of them if you are agile enough to land your to stick the landing but other than that you can also harvest the flowers now depending upon whether it’s day or

Night you may also get a different result for at least one of them now the lily pad these large ones here that you see they will regrow their flowers as will the the mini pads uh after about 15 minutes or so so don’t be afraid to harvest a whole

Bunch of these but you can use some of these flowers for different things the larger one here you actually can eat it is a very edible item and can be quite useful the other ones from the mini pad you can use to craft a flower crown

Which can be wearable on your person at nighttime things change up quite a bit the mini pads start to light up and glow which actually is quite pretty out in the wild but you can also harvest some of these glowing flowers for yourself not only are the lily tad and the mini pad

Very cute critters you too can look super cute and if you take some of those new mini pad flowers that were glowing simply craft them up in a crafting table you get a glowing version that when set to night time will still glow and at least make yourself a little bit more visible

Found in snowy tundra-like biomes you may find things like these yetis and their young are a possibility of just coming across them out there the drawback is that if you’re in survival mode and you approach one that has a baby it might get very upset at you so you probably want to try

Working on gaining some trust first you can start off by giving it some berries but that won’t necessarily help if there’s another yeti nearby though and you give it some berries as well they may end up making new babies or just chasing you off and trying to kill

You again it all depends on you know the trusts that you may or may not have from these yetis so how do you get a yeti’s trust well if you can sneak in and feed one of the young a a slice of melon then you may have a

Chance it’s not exactly the easiest thing to do because they’re going to be trying to kill you the entire time but it can be worth it for the sake of uh just this video i’m going to try going into creative mode to do so i’ve already

Fed one to this other one over here and you can see that the growing time on it is a little bit faster along by feeding the sweet berries you can then speed that up a little bit it’s just a percentage base so once it gets down low

Enough you really don’t need to feed it anymore so what’s the benefit of befriending a yeti’s young well once it grows up it will then defend you similar to how an iron golem will defend villagers in a village from any kind of attackers now once these little ones have grown up no

Longer will the regular yetis start attacking you anymore just on approach otherwise they’re just a neutral creature out in the wild now should you decide to slay one or more of these beasts it actually has some benefits and it’s not just this drop here which is yeti hide but also yeti antlers what

Benefits do these have the antlers they can be turned into a hefty amount of bone meal for starters but then again that was quite the tough battle that you might have had to have gone through in order to to survive the hyde itself though does not have an obvious use let me grab

An anvil and i can better demonstrate by putting this down here i can then add chain maille chest plate to this put on the yeti hide and at the cost of one xp or experience level it will then allow me to add in one percent extra armor

It’s not a lot but you can do it several times stacking in total up to five percent you do that with all of your armor and in this case i’m wearing regular iron armor and it can be a big difference in how you fare in combat so let’s give an

Example i currently have a full set of iron armor it’s all regular non-modified nothing really fancy we’ve got about seven and a half of these armor icons full for the armor if i remove those and equip this other set that has five percent extra on every single piece you

Can see that we’re only one armor piece away increasing our armor considerably found in the desert wastes you might find cactum these are cute little characters that can actually pack quite a punch you don’t want to get on their bad side they will attack you with spears from range just like drowned with

Tridents though the spears don’t float quite so well underwater now if you do defeat the regular warrior cactime then there is a chance you may get one of their spears yes you can enchant it with loyalty as well as sharpness but it does not work in thunderstorms like a trident does this

Little character here that’s wandering up is one of the elders of the tribe they’re a character you probably want to trade with give them a totem of undying and they’ll consider a trade it could be something good or it could be something quite poopy in this case it was poopy let’s try

Again shall we hey there we go now we’re talking a heal spell book this can be quite useful because it’s one of the abilities that the elders have if they have nearby friendlies that have taken some damage or are injured something along those lines they may end up casting a spell to

Help well repair what damage might have been done for example an area effect heal spell guess what you now have the same thing but this one is just a level one and you can’t use it quite as effectively as the cactum because well they’re made of plant matter

You may notice once trading for one of these it’s a level one heal spell book using it i gain close to 10 seconds of regeneration which is pretty darn good and it will affect allies or those that you have tamed in an area around you as well

With its cool down it’s it’s not that good because it only replenished like maybe a couple of hearts worth so i think we can do better than that by taking some of the levels i have and some of the books that i may or may not

Have traded for you can put them in an anvil and upgrade them to level two taking those level twos you can actually upgrade it to the maximum level of level three being heavily injured i can cast this spell it gives me an instantaneous healing effect plus about four or five seconds of regeneration

Three which is a considerable difference yes it will take a few totems for you to get this far but it is a reusable heal spell that you can use with friends or just with some traveling companions not solely stuck on mushroom islands but you may also find these little characters

Spoilings out in mushroom fields of course but also in swamps lush caves and dark forests they’re quite the characters very friendly and non-hostile whatsoever you can tame them and have them follow you around just by giving them a little bit of bone meal and they’ll instantly just become your

Friend you can have them sit or follow as you desire and they’ll kind of wander around they will teleport to you just like wolves will if you get too far away as you can see they’re just kind of like springing at me and you can get quite a bunch of

Them together if you so try hard enough with a bit of bone meal now what benefits do these characters have well they’re cute you can have them sit down there are other benefits you can have and that’s just to bring them with you a spoiling backpack just

Consists of a little bit of leather you will have to replace your chest plate armor with it and it looks like this on the back side you can see there’s like this little platform sticking out on my back then you just need to sneak right click one of your spoiling friends and

You now have them sitting on your backside really cute it kind of looks like they’re wearing a little bit of a thong but honestly it’s there to help give them a bit of support then you can travel much safer with your friend to whatever destination you want without

Fear of them not teleporting because you’re going a little too fast now these lovable characters actually do have quite a good use if you notice my spear here has a curse of vanishing on it well if i toss this down they’ll grab it and at the cost of a little tiny bit of

Durability try and repair it for you as well as give you a little bit of xp in the process no more curse and now i can use it without fear i did neglect to mention if you want your little spoiling off of your back you just need to sneak and click again

And they’ll just kind of jump out of the harness but that’s not all of the spoilings these are all the friendly ones there’s also a little bit darker of a group as well and that’s in the nether wearing that harness with a spoiling will actually prevent you from entering

Into the nether so you should be made aware of that but depending upon the forests that you go into this one here is a crimson spoiling and they are not friendly towards visitors and they’re only found in of course the crimson forest biome there’s also the warped variant which is

In the warped forest biome and yes they’re just as dangerous as the crimson style and of course in the nether wastes you may find some of the more traditional style but they are highly recognizable by their unhinging mouths that may be used to devour you found in the nether wastes is this

Stompy boy known as a cinder shell these are useful dead or alive so you could probably keep one if you want they are passive after all and quite cool looking so you know why slaughter it if you don’t need to but if you did decide to put an end to

This guy’s existence you could get some of these cinder shell shell shards these can be useful for multiple things first and foremost as a smelting ingredient for 32 items or a half a stacks worth of products you could be smelting with but more importantly so you can use it to make a

Cinder sword with a little bit of nether brick as the handle now just looking at this cinder sword it only has five attack damage by default which isn’t very much but it does give you some kind of weapon to at least use in the nether

On the plus side though if you have lava nearby just right click and it will infuse it giving it a big boost in its attack damage as well as setting enemies on fire when you hit them now slowly over time though this infusion will wear off as you notice the

Tip has stopped glowing and the attack damage has gone down a little bit so the lava only lasts for a bit you will probably have to carry around a bucket of lava with you but you know what for a cheap sword that you can get early on that can actually be stronger

Than another right sword ultimately it’s probably pretty much worth it but if you didn’t want to go the offensive route and you wanted to go the smarter route you could make one of these a cinder furnace with a few more nether bricks and a couple ingots of gold you

Can then just right click on your cindershell friend and it becomes a furnace for you to use infinitely without fuel ever if i click on the cindershell tortoise itself you can see that there’s an input slot at the top by taking some kind of ingredient putting it in there it will

Then start smelting automatically at no cost you see there’s just this little turtle icon underneath and that’s it it’s pretty darn useful it can kind of travel around with you if you want you just click on it with a lead and you can bring it around with you so

You have a mobile furnace of sorts and it doesn’t seem to catch much aggro from other mobs so it shouldn’t likely get blown up though it could be if you are nearby and the cinder furnace in itself when you place it down does nothing i’m right clicking on it it

Will not work you actually have to click on the tortoise in order to access this and then you can pull out your nominee piglens all that aside though it’s just a really cool mob idea that allows you to benefit whether you want to end up killing these

Or just making them work for you last but definitely not least is the end whale one of the rarer things because it’s found in the end and yes this is the actual starting island so you don’t have to go far but in order to get their attention you’ll need some chorus fruit

Now it probably will also help to have a saddle as well as a lead just so that you can keep track of if you need to station your end whale temporarily once you’ve tamed it by feeding it chorus fruit you can of course put down a fence post

And try and put a lead on it oh it took off oh no what do i do don’t worry you just tempt it back down again with a bit of chorus fruit give it a few moments and it’ll be back and there it is well

I’ll put that in my off hand give it a lead and attach it to this fence post should keep it in place at least temporarily once you’ve tamed it add a saddle and you should be able to jump right on and then you too have a new method of transporting yourself across

The void now if you’re very very crafty you might be able to actually get your whale back into the overworld at which point you’ll have yourself a permanent flying companion that can also breathe underwater though you may not be able to yourself it’s a really fast mode

Of transportation and all you need to do is just press forward on your keyboard and aim with your mouse that’s it if you want to back up you press backwards the left and right directions do not work while you’re on it it’s all mouse oriented otherwise

And if you want to dismount it’s just like a horse pressing the sneak key it’s got some great animations especially when you’re turning and your entire mount will turn off to the side but you do have to be cautious once you dismount your end whale it’s possible that the

Saddle may slip off and it may escape you but not to worry just make sure you’ve got some chorus fruit and you’ll always be able to tempt it back to you and that just about does it for this bit by bit on creatures and beasts if you
