Minecraft Survival Let’s Play Episode 1 | A *PINK* Starter House for Minecraft 1.20!

I’ve been playing in this Minecraft world for over a year building up my Empire making the world my own with the new Minecraft 1.20 trails and tales update comes a new start in a new area of this world though so settle down drop a like to support

This new season and I hope you enjoy the ride welcome to season two of let’s play Minecraft hey hey welcome ladies and gentlemen to season two of my Minecraft let’s play we’re here in the new 1.20 trails and tales update and I really do hope that you guys enjoy this new update because

Oh man from the snapshots I’ve played there’s some pretty awesome stuff so without further Ado I have updated my little save icon for the let’s play Minecraft world if you guys are interested in finding the world seed for this world or any other information regarding this world go ahead and check

The description down below you’ll pretty much find everything there but here we are ladies and gentlemen welcome to season two of my let’s play this is where we’re setting up these are the coordinates where we’re setting up and oh man are there some cool things nearby

So yeah my friends I guess there’s no reason to delay let’s get right on with punching some wood we’ll get ourselves some nice basic tools I’m thinking we get straight up to stone tools and maybe we have a little bit of an explore around here and we’ll see just what what

Kind of awesome stuff is nearby any of you new folks to the channel a big big warm welcome to you I’ve been playing Minecraft for upwards of 12 years and I have enjoyed every single second of it I’m sort of a ye oldie let’s player here

On YouTube in that I don’t do the whole making three months worth of progress in one episode thing when I say I’m ye oldie I am of a slower Pace my friend so I really do hope that is something you guys will enjoy only for me personally I

Still enjoy watching the ye oldie let’s players here on YouTube because I feel like I can relate to them better you know I can actually follow what they’re doing and replicate it if I so wish could that be a dungeon by any chance I should mention we have a couple of

Twists in this let’s play just a couple little things to challenge myself really season one was just a box standard let’s play where we did anything and everything but there wasn’t really a great deal of challenge to it and that is kind of the same for Minecraft in

General nowadays I feel like it’s just too easy so in order to make things just a little bit more interesting I’ve turned off Natural Health regeneration which means I can’t just regenerate my health normally from food I can only regenerate Health from things like golden apples potions Beacon effect and

Of course suspicious stew the other twist I’m gonna have in this series is no mending gear in my opinion mending gear kind of removes the needs to create further gear in future and essentially it just kind of removes an aspect of Minecraft which actually I personally really enjoy I like making gear my

Friends I like repairing gear and all that kind of stuff so yeah no mending aside from on Elijah of course if and when we managed to get them but yeah that really will be the only thing we’ll put mending on okay but then up to stone

Tools we go I will go ahead and make myself a sword and a shovel as well just to sort of finish off the set here and uh yeah guys I guess now is as good a time as any to maybe get ourselves situated with a few Basics got a bunch

Of sheep around here and yes they’re all different colors but for any of you guys unaware a slightly perhaps lesser known change in this version is if I was to go ahead and kill these fellas get ourselves three bits of wool there we have it what we’ll be able to do is

Create ourselves one bit of red wool two bits of red wool three bits of red wool and there you have it we now have the ability to make ourselves a bed in 1.20 they added Universal dying so no matter what color of wool you have you can

Re-dye it with whatever you please so yeah that is a very very handy dandy change probably a blessing in disguise that we killed those sheep because what we can do is place down a smoker and do a little bit of cooking of food because yeah hunger bar is most definitely

Starting to deplete there so let’s go ahead and get ourselves back up to scratch ah those zombie sounds again though I’m pretty convinced that there’s a dungeon down here if there is I’m gonna be so so happy we can get ourselves a nice early source of XP

Ordinarily I would go ahead and just ransack the place straight off the rip but remember we don’t have natural health regeneration we are gonna have to be relatively careful when it comes to ransacking that zombie dungeon if that is what it is what we can do to maybe

Better our chances at surviving this thing is we can grab this eye in here and do a little bit of Shield crafting I’d also grab some coal as well get ourselves a small amount of XP and the ability to make torches there we have it another furnace we’ll get this iron on

The go make ourselves a shield and then I guess see what’s going on with all those zombarinos now for full disclosure my friends and so I’m not sort of accused of looking at the seed too much behind the scenes all I’ll say is I know roughly where the biomes are around here

One thing I didn’t do is I didn’t look underground for features I don’t know what is underneath us right now I know only what kind of biomes are around us so yeah like I say full disclosure I don’t want to be going ahead and being dishonest here so then ladies and

Gentlemen there we have it we have a shield oh hello okay there is a zombie could we oh okay there’s two zombies dungeon in here yeah get back there son ah yeah come on now there we are there we are yay that’s another one out the game oh

He’s right there hello right gotta be careful can’t be going ahead and taking unnecessary damage that would be rather poor now oh no oh no no baby zombie no okay he’s done oh thank goodness for that there’s no dungeon down here oh man I kind of made the natural assumption

That because there was a whole bunch of zombie noises around maybe there was a dungeon oh I’m so sad wow the size of this cave entrance though that does not make me sad although it does make me feel a little bit uncomfortable knowing that any amount of mobs could spawn in there

Come out into the open and just sort of Destroyers nothing ladies and gents I think it’s time for our first sleep day number two on this new season or technically day number 748 in total because obviously you know the day count from season one basically continues here

I think the goal for today is we try our best to climb this mountain here this crater if you will and we basically just try to see what’s around like I say I know roughly what’s around in terms of biomes but I haven’t like pinpointed the

Location of all of them in my mind here so yeah it still will be worthwhile I was popping up here getting a good vantage point and just having a bit of a look oh hey there’s some iron up here too but check it out we’ve got a nice

Big Forest over there we have another snow-capped Mountain over there with a birch Forest we have ourselves what appears to be a dark oak forest way over there we’ve got more iron right up here wow look at this place though we spawned in down there area though we’re so high up we’re with

The cloudsy oh my word this is some craziness talking to craziness the size of this dark oak forest seems to be pretty crazy if we get ourselves a full set of iron armor by the end of today’s episode I’m gonna be one happy bunny yeah that’s a nice view right there

Isn’t it man oh man do I love Mountain biomes these days the fact that they are such a great source of coal emerald and iron at the start of a game I love it I love it so much so continuing around here we appear to have ourselves another

Large Birch Forest we’ve got a whole heck ton more alls here which is just what I like to see hey the magic number 24 bits of iron or any resource is what’s required if you’re wanting to make yourself a full set of armor the fact that we got more than that now heck

Yeah no way dude so look at this we got ourselves a tiger by him here but far in the distance I’m hoping you guys will be able to see that there appears to be a mega tiger by him with the two by two spruce trees that’s like my second

Favorite biome of all time in this game and we have it relatively close to where we are here there is such a nice diverse set of biomes around here I absolutely love this place I’m so glad that I spent the time to scout this location before the season began because honestly in my

Opinion a great world and a great sea starts with a great location and a great location is most certainly what we have going on here and you want to know why I’m evil much more Chuck we have the 1.20 brand new Cherry Grove biome nearby this place

There it is it’s literally there ladies and gentlemen oh it’s so good I have got to head on over there I’ve got to try and get myself some cherry logs and some cherry saplings we should most definitely plant some cherry trees around here look at that a tiny tiny

Little Cherry Grove biome way over there as well I love this place I really really do all right so we’ve got ourselves some iron night time is about to be upon us so let’s try and get ourselves some armor have a bit of a snooze and perhaps try to figure out a

Way to get over to that Cherry Grove biome now that just isn’t cool why are there pillages here how am I gonna take this guy out without getting the bad Omen effect that’s the real question look at these guys they’re just standing there menacingly am I gonna be able to get

Over to my bed I’d like to be able to sleep that’d be nice at least let me have it be daytime so we don’t have a whole bunch of other dudes spawning on us and try to kill us hey okay are you going to allow me to sleep oh okay I’m in bed

And I don’t know what’s happening anymore boom right where are we okay they’re still there oh I don’t like this I feel like there’s a standoff going on here are we gonna be allowed to smelt up this here iron in peace okay seems to be okay you know for

A fact as soon as I go for that Cherry Grove buying these guys are just gonna take over this place right ah it’s that Banner guy that I’m probably gonna have the most issues with the rest of them should be relatively okay because we’ve got a shield right

But this guy we get the bad I’m gonna him we find a village and we might accidentally start a raid which I can’t tell you how much I don’t want to have that happen on my first episode here although to be fair it probably would be pretty entertaining for you to

Watch me fail a whole bunch right anyways let’s get ourselves a few bits of armor shall we there’s my helmet will you allow me to pick up my bed I certainly hope so thank you what am I saying thank you to these guys this is if I’m supposed to get their permission

To take my own bed with me hmm all right finally got some trousers now YouTube Can’t rate this video as being 18 plus because I don’t have pants on um yeah I do now so ha suck on that YouTube and here we are ladies and gentlemen a full set of armor yeah yeah

Yeah yeah I am feeling good and a few bits of iron left over brilliant I’m thinking what we do is make an iron pick I’m thinking an iron shovel and screw it I’m also gonna make shears because I like to have a green thumb in Minecraft

I like to pick up grass and bits of wildlife bits and Bobs here and there and decorate my builds with it all oh and I thought the dangers stopped when we got away from those pillages look at this powdered snow don’t want to be getting on the wrong side of this

Stuff now I’m gonna have to try and make some leather shoes at some point you make leather shoes you’ll be able to walk right on top of that stuff and never ever sink into it all right we’ve just about cleared the snowy mountains now we’re on the home stretch to get

Over to this Cherry Grove ooh you know what I was saying about leather shoes look what we have out here willing volunteers I don’t know how it happened but all of the cows just sort of disappeared I seem to have four bits of leather on me here which is a pretty

Good it’s bang on what we need for a pair of shoes nothing happened I didn’t do anything to those cows maybe they just moved on over to the Cherry Grove buying because these guys think that I’m in a race to get there before then well

My good buddy guess what I’m now in the lead I’m gonna win this race let’s get over here here and let’s grab some of these Cherry logs oh man I love this place I love this new buying I love the pink Petals on the floor I love the

Particle effects coming off of these trees here it’s such a nicely biome now let’s see if we can take some of this biome with us we chop down some of these trees here we maybe try to see if we can get ourselves a cherry tree sapling and

Then we can plant some of these trees back at the crater area oh look at that ah imagine falling asleep in a Cherry Grove area in real life and you’ve got all of these particles around you oh oh that’d be so nice all right good news is

We got ourselves a sapling I’d like to have more than one ideally though because then there we go we can get a slightly higher rate of cherry wood all right I’m gonna go ahead and grab some of these because why wouldn’t I and uh yeah we’ll head back to base get those

Trees planted and I’m thinking we make a little bit of a start on a nice basic base oh it’s raining which means back at the crater it’s gonna be snowing and that’ll give me an opportunity to show you guys what I have done as another little mini twist to this series and

World for now though a little bit of food on the go and there we have it you know what since we’re out here in the open and there’s lots of different tree types around us maybe what we try and do is grab a whole bunch of different types

Of logs and saplings right the more different types of wood and trees we have access to the better things are gonna be ah lovely Minecraft music playing in the background that is one little thing I’ve kind of changed behind the scenes I’m actually able to listen

To the music in game now for the longest time I play Minecraft without the background music on because I normally just add it in post you know in editing so you guys have always got something to listen to in the background but honestly I’d be quite okay with restoring the

Back music in post if that is something you guys would be interested in that’s one of the things Bedrock Edition has over this Edition I’m pretty sure Bedrock Edition has like near constant background music whereas Java Edition yeah seems to play like once every 20 minutes or so which isn’t really enough

In my opinion I guess I could just play the Minecraft background music on Spotify while playing this that could be another idea but yeah I don’t know I’m open to anything at this point if you guys would be more interested in having the Minecraft background music sort of

Put in post again let me know but if not and you’re okay with me doing it the way I’m doing it so I can listen to it as well then yeah we’ll just keep on so here we are my friends another little known change is that in one of the 1.19

Sub updates they actually added a new game rule that will allow the accumulation of snow layers rather similar to bedrock Edition and I have got that set to eight So eventually the snow layers will form a brand new snow block so you can go ahead silk touch the

Block and it actually becomes a snow block as opposed to snow layers so yeah we essentially have access to infinite snow and hey at the end of the day my friends it’s just more realistic isn’t it in real life you don’t just have one layer of snow accumulate do you no it

Continually accumulates until it stops snowing eh oh then are the pillages gone have they despawned it would look like it okay excellent I’m sure we haven’t seen the last of them though I mean if they’re spawning in here this early in the series I dare say We’ll encounter some more the next step

On our journey here on episode one is to make ourselves a starter shelter that is right I have been hard at work on a creative test world trying to design a Japanese style starter house believe it or not my friends it’s a style I have never ever tried to build with so this

Is going to be a first for your boy here and I really do hope that this build is going to maybe Inspire some of you folks to use some of the new 1.20 blocks so then what we’re going to be needing for this starter base is first of all to

Flatten out a little bit of land here then what we need to do is basically grab ourselves a ton more cherry wood and a ton of birch wood as well that is one of the types of wood I didn’t manage to get so so yeah the good news is we

Have Birch forests nearby and it’s a good thing I made sheers earlier as well because I’m gonna be needing some cherry tree leaves as well already I’m getting ideas for something I need to do here I need to make a big old tunnel going out

Of the crater here so I’m not able to risk myself through some powdered snow talking of snow look how much has accumulated here wow there’s so much here we are starting off with some Birch and we’re actually going to need quite a lot of birch I’m estimating two maybe three stacks

Maximum oh hey there buddy what you got gunpowder red sand okay I mean none of this is really that interesting the Birch saplings would have been nice but I’ve literally just obtained one so yeah that guy’s Birch trade is already obsolete I feel the need to mention normally I wouldn’t go ahead and

Pre-plan as starter base build and a creative test world it’s just because I literally have never built in a Japanese style before that I felt like if I’m gonna do this I’m gonna try to do this right or as best as I could do you know alrighty that’s the Birch taken care of

Certainly a kind of wood that I don’t build with that often kinda made a boo-boo I did not bring a bed with me the good news is there’s plenty of sheeples around here there we are a nice comfortable white bed as if I’ve made two beds on the first episode and then

Time to get some leaves and cherry wood let’s get it done and there we have it again about three stacks of cherry wood and quite a lot of saplings it is building time let’s get back to the crater let’s get this thing rolling I’m excited for you guys to see this build

So the first step is trying to make a nice flat area I was gonna do it sort of down here but then decided you know what if we’re gonna do this we’re gonna do it right so we’re trying to find the exact center of this entire grassland area and

Where these torches are represent where all of the foundations are going to go for this base so then here we are my friends let’s begin this thing we’re going to start by putting down a bunch of four tall foundations of course taking care to remember the fact that um

You know if I take full damage I’m not going to regenerate my health so I gotta be super gavel with Ninja placing these supporting logs The Next Step involves making a backup ax because we’re going to be stripping almost all of these birch logs here for the walls we’re also

Going to need a bunch of two rap doors so but I mean there we have it so the bottom Rim if you will is all going to be regular birch logs and not stripped ones but on top of them will indeed be stripped Birch loved I figured that was

A nice way to go introduced a little bit of white into the palette here I thought it looked pretty nice on their creative test Rod anyway so yeah we’ll see how it’s looking against the backdrop here once it’s all up and ready the windows are going to be these Here Pink Cherry

Trap doors a quick snooze through the night and we’ll provide another progress update so here we are the walls are in yes it looks a little bit flat but I tell you what my friends once we start adding in these bad boys in yeah he’s gone way better my friends I like how

There’s a donkey just circling our starter base bro it ain’t even finished yet hold your horses or should I say hold your donkeys now my friends comes the most interesting and intricate part we are going to be needing a ridiculous amount of slabs and stairs of both the

Birch and Cherry types yeah Japanese these Oriental style roofs they’re all slabs and stairs believe me probably the easiest way to get this roof on is to actually start with the sides we’re gonna have two ends that rise up to a sharp point in the middle here so I’ll

Try my best my friends we’re gonna start off with some Birch slabs in this formation right here and then sort of ahead of it we’re going to have a layer of the Cherry Grove slabs so starting from the edge here we’ve got one two and then we’re gonna go up here we’re going

To go across we’re going to bring some stairs into play gonna have a full block behind there with some more stairs on top of that gonna replicate this on the other side as well of course and then we’re gonna wrap it up with some upside down stairs with a couple of slabs

Making a full block on top of that then we need to finish off the underside here so we’ll add a slab in there a slab in there then behind the Cherry we’re gonna have ourselves a nice full block right there and to finish it off an upside

Down Birch stair right there you see that finishes that side off quite nicely doesn’t it needless to say we go ahead and replicate that on this side as well now what we do is we try and make these two top points essentially meet up so we’re gonna have ourselves like a big

Old Cherry beam up here so we’re gonna go half a block down and then a another half block down this elevation will go for three blocks and we’d go down another half slab this one goes for five blocks so there we are that’s five then

We go back up half a slab make this go for three blocks and then go up another half slab again so there we have it a nice symmetrical meeting point we’ll also go ahead and fill in the underside here with another full block so then my

Friends you know what I was saying about how this is going to be all slabs and stairs well that is about to begin now so what we’re gonna do is we’re basically going to alternate elevations here we’ve got the lower half we’ve got the top half we’re going to bring in

Another lower half and then guess what we’re going to bring in another top half and essentially we’re going to keep this going all the way along here so let’s keep it going we’re going to add in a row of slabs to finish off this row here

Then we’re going to have another row of slabs rather like this I’m gonna add in some stairs here and here with a slab on top and a slab down here and then at the back we’re going to go for a pattern rather like this and we’re gonna have

Trap doors on every other gap rather like so these gaps here will be filled in with slabs there we are that’s the back route taken care of which to be honest is the easiest side now we have to do the front which includes the front entrance here now we’re gonna start off

With a nice basic thing something to give our entrance a little bit of an archway and now we’re gonna go right back to this slabs and stairs we’re essentially going to give this a slightly extended roof essentially so upside down stair full block stair upside down stair full block etc

Etc so I’ve gone ahead and connected this top beam here up to the front and now what we need to do is essentially fill in these areas here with a bunch of birch slabs and stairs rather similar to back here alrighty so my friends just like that we have a nice front entrance

To this base the only thing is on the interior it does look a little bit worse for web but we are most definitely going to try and do something about it so what do we think eh I’m thinking we put some beams in rather like so we strip these

So it fits the rest of the build and I’m thinking we do a bunch of slabs and stairs trickery to try to iron out the bumps a little bit I wonder if I was to put these in here will the particle effects start yeah they will okay excellent right I think the only

Thing this thing is missing now is a floor of course and maybe some lighting as well I’m thinking maybe underneath the beams here we could have some trap doors yeah what in doubt trap door it out do you know what I know exactly what I’m

Going to use for the floor in here as well a checkerboard pattern using the Cherry Grove wood I think that would be a marvelous way to go a nice dark floor I think will make the light bits seem even lighter oh look at that place oh

I can’t wait to build more in the style I think we’ve got this build palette and color palette down pat this is great anyways my friends we have a few bits of iron here so how’s it there how do we go ahead and maybe make some lanterns three

Of them should do the job for now for the interior and then maybe we can work on the exterior a little bit more in the next episode alongside of course the interior of this place yeah there we have it nice Lighting in here hey how about this for a starter base I mean

Yeah we haven’t got a great deal of space in here but one thing you guys might not know about me is I’m kind of known for being able to make the most out of a small amount of space believe me I think I’ll be able to do something
